Also hosted a pug and a Lego showed up with Winter's Breath (the berserk shield. I remembered this simply because I always wanted to troll with this berserk shield but never got mine back after salvaging  it back then) and a weird sword that I have no idea what it is.

He rushed ahead and red lined his health before popping Counterstrike. At that point I thought I ran into a Promotion Lord and he is red lining his health for added damage.

Then I changed mind straight away after seeing him fall 3 times in a row and then fade in less than a minute...

Hehe I have actually tried it on my Lego once.  Took off HOK and put on Superb belt of Urgency.  Let my health go under half before putting on guard.   And I was using that March round shield that gives 5% damage bonus per enemy.   I can't tell the difference. :P  My Lego still did crappy damage.

I still remember when I first started, I soloed Routine with my Lego (my very first solo) and it took over 40 minutes.   It still haunts me now that I really don't like soloing. :P

Option 1: L2PI

Option 2: Hidden blade when they do their mace / sword swing animation, then follow up with throwing blades while they are being staggered

Option 3: Charging bull during their swing animation

Option 4: Why don't you just walk away?

These are all good options.

If there is one, yes. take a step back, he whiffs and you do something to take him down. If there is two and you get two that are out of sync with each other you can easily get trapped in a knockdown loop. If you walk too far away they charge then mace juggle you as well.

Some other L2P options would be:

1) Spec into Combat roll

2) Spec into Warhorn

Even still there are times where you are soloing and there are a big mob of Shield Bro's and if they get into the rhythm you might as well set the controller down and go make a sandwich.

L2PI is the best option all things considered.

Is it bad that I got my PI Amulet while I was still playing mostly in Routine? :P   You rarely get knock down in Routine or even Threatening.   Someone said it has to do with enemies cool down?   But seriously I don't know how to NOT PI.   It would be like.. hey try to sprint but don't touch the Shift key.

Just had some very fast and xp-rich NM FC pugs. Everyone in the team is strong and we literally just smashed through everything :) We completed 4 matches in 55 minutes. It's just amazing no one went to narnia or crash or lost connection during these runs at all.

Every match at least one of us brought in a barrier bot and I believe everyone must have enjoyed the extra support xp :P

This is DAIMP at its very finest!

PI amulet guys are brilliant to run with. I run away from the shield morons, and let the PI amulet deal with them. Carry me, minions!

Also, it makes me smile watching terrors gangbang a PI mook who 4got2CombatRoll.

My last pug was a few days ago, but still worth noting. I jumped into a NM pug that was at the end of zone 1. I hit the door and they kicked me. No words just kicked me. I guess I hit the door while someone was going for a chest or something. Sorry, I guess. Usually people have the courtesy to at least scream at me first so I know what I did. If that was it, I'm sorry. You can bill me 1 bow of helpful hazard.

Just pugged another NM FC. It was a duo until zone 4. And then I crashed out on zone 5 after we killed the boss...

Honestly, if non of those crashed and disconnection and narnia and blah blah blah ever happened, I probably would have twice the number of promotions compared to what I have now. Maybe even more...

I am pugging as I do a bunch of these days

I am host  but I cruise  along  solo

no hakkons but the Bitter axe and Isanatol

shield bash and Wombo-C-C-Combo

I get joined at the end of 4 and they immediately start sampling dirt

I raised all 3 of em at least once

we get to five and start

as I fight the alpha and raise these guys to the point 1 fades

once I kill the alpha the rest is a cake walk  and the virtuoso decides now he is a bad-ass and starts stealing my kills

I moved as far from them as I could and he speeds over and takes more

felt like he was the simple thief from Conan the barbarian

take my exp move to new lobby start archer solo

possibly if someone is solo and is not too worried about whats coming they are not gonna be thrilled with you killing something for them

if we are playing with kills (like waiting for spiders) we never needed help up to lvl 4  (solo) we are probably good now

Well at least you got the xp, instead of having the match ending in a big crash  <_<

After a while one starts to forget how annoying the shield guys are until you start a game solo with a necro like I did this am.  I almost died a couple times on wave one.

I still detest the spear chuckers the most.  Defect all attacks. Heck they are turned the other way fighting one player and are still defecting stuff from the opposite direction,

Haven't PUGed in a while, but I realize when replaying SP campaign how much I benefit from doing MP: knowledge on abilities and combos that I wouldn't have bothered getting otherwise, creating HoK stuff as soon as possible, better mobility to name a few. And everything feels so easy even on highest difficulty with extra challenges, the "worst" fights are like a shortened zone 5 at most.

Agreed, I never would have spec'ed my archer the way I did in my last sp play through without mp.  Spike trap and leaping shot made things pretty easy.

Finally made the jump to PS4 and played a couple games as the Silent Sister (unlocked her and the Saarebas right off the bat) on Threatening.  I like her so far.

Nothing really notable about those matches other than the fact that I only ran into Red Templars.  Hopefully I'll bump into the darkspawn and/or Qunari tonight...

Last night I was pushing to get my constitution over 190 the hard way.
99.9% of my promotions have been on the up & up so, this far into the games life span I have a sense of pride. If I knew back then what I see now I may have done things differently.

It was a joy suffering through several laggy and glitchy NM Dragon runs with people I don't recall having matched with before, because in the second to last run of the night I was finally rewarded with the one Hakkon weapon I have been missing for a long time now. The 1 handed sword!

Much thanks to the group that helped my Avvar make it to the end of that Dragons demise. A few more items are missing, but when I acquire them I think I will say adios to this game. It's been tough keeping pace with the people who for whatever reason are afforded endless hours to devote to DAMP. It's the humor that several bring to the game that has kept me in it this far.

Been fighting the Qunari and darkspawn as my Silent Sister and I have to say, I like it.   :P

Dropped into a Perilous match with a level 13 Elementalist, another mage soon dropped in and everyone readied up.  Loaded into the Ferelden Castle and we got the Qunari.  I was chatting with a friend of mine, so I let the 2 mages go ahead.  Once I noticed that one of them had dropped and the other was struggling to stay up, I charged in and cleared the Qunari, only for them to bled out during the fighting.  Next thing I knew, I got jumped by 3 Defenders.  I wasn't prepped to handle them, so after struggling for a bit, I got dropped.  Loaded into the lobby and left before finding another Perilous match with a name I recognized from PS3.

Had a very smooth duo of Perilous runs on the Ferelden Castle before leaving that since it seemed like they weren't interested in fighting Frosty.  Still need dragon kills....
