Can't play NM with Legionnaire (never use guard), Katari, Elementalist, Keeper (never use barrier), Alchemist (never use mines), Necromancer, Templar, Avvar, Virtuoso and Saarebas (never use left tree abilities except Leap). Can guaranteed solo NM (against any faction) with Reaver only, barely can use Hunter (never use Stealth on him).
Go figure.

Hb had a lot of potential but flopped. it's empty 95% of the time. The 5% have turned into a solo game type due to the lack of rewards and incentives for the majority player base to farm daily. Xp isn't that great either given the noticeable difficulty vs. NM.
The reward for HB is all of the fun you had during that match + the lols of wiping in the previous matches.

I agree it is a fun difficulty but most people don't like to wipe rather steamroll lower difficulties especially if they are accustomed helpless spongebob dragons the majority of the time. It's an eye opening experience for the first timer to realize mages are cloaked and invincible for 5 seconds and there are ten of them in one room hurling stone fists in your face.

Had a decent duo game this am with a fellow I've played with a number of times before, he was a 1st level Reaver, I was a level 10 or so AW. Took a long long time to win the end level though as it was darkspawn and the alpha was being a real snot. We had to kill all other enemies 1st before we could take it down.

I don't ever want to solo HB haha. I watched my friend do it as I ran away from my own ally reaver who kept using aoes on my seabass lmao.
I do think HB enemy skills are amazing though, it actually adds challenge to the game outside of them just slapping me in the face... really hard.

Solo HB would be really really tough and time consuming even for promotion lords.
I would only ever play HB with a full team of friends with the expectation of wiping at some point (And set it to private for that over 80% crash rate...)
But I can totally see why it would be very frustration to see in-competent pugs joining the match when they can't contribute at all.

I'm under the impression that dragon armor makes you unstoppable in Threatening though, even with sub zero promotions. Maybe i'm wrong...
You are unstoppable with Drakeskin. My no promotion account takes one damage from almost all physical damage. Magic damage is still a little dangerous.

Threatening is the new Routine once you get Tier 2 armor and weapons that are better than the inquisition ones. It serves its purpose as a training ground until you get Drakeskin and decent weapons.
Playing more than a couple of Nm games gives me a severe case of cramp but I can play Peri for much much longer.
Once you have Drakeskin armor and dragon weapons or their equivalent Perilous is easier than Threatening used to be before the Armor buff.

Nm is a snorefest when pugs call spongebob dragon. Nm Zone 5 is lots of fun when your team has some testicular fortitude to place the banner. It's even better because you earn way more xp. I mean how many elder dalish bows do the average puggers want?

Maybe you should play a map other than FC? I highly doubt it's testicular fortitude that gets them to place the banner. After playing my scrub account that is hurting for materials I'll be calling the dragon for any of the newbies I run into. Those calls are expensive for new players.

Disagree. Should be ready to contribute. I wish those that could solo whatever difficulty they are playing would move up a difficulty. Ya know, that way people would cooperate.

The brutes, bolters, assassins, those things that enemies fight (giants, etc..), saarebus, room bosses, any named demon, zone 5 bosses, dragon... still could hurt quite a bit without any promotions. But the best part about drakescale in threatening is that you could now ignore the archers but not for the demon race magic ranged. The spirit ones are okay but the fire ones still hurts a lot.

Well this is a private match but it's too hilarious I feel I must share.
Played a few HB matches this morning with a bunch of top leaderboarders. Made me feel like an utter scrub seeing how they could face rush through HB with a lv1 reaver and the enemies could barely scratch their skin. Even saw a lv1 lego with Winter Breath shield running around chasing mooks. 
Soon we met the RT and I thought, hell HB is far too easy for this lot, let's make it a bit more interesting! And yes, time for PvP mode!
1st round: Me using lego Vs TheArgh's Elementalist

Shield bash wins again! Even full barrier plus guardian spirit can't stop me!

HB Soloing (calling the dragon) would probably be more time efficient with the proper gear, promotions, potions and armor imho
Hb on fc especially on zone 4 is pretty time isn't it? I've heard it takes close to 45 mins and more even with dragon call. That's assuming players aren't purposely blocking spawns/speed running.

Last night there was no PUG in perilous so I took my level 1 to threatening. 10 minutes later still no PUG so started soloing. But soon, rogueknight joined and 2 others. Things were going really well so I thought.. hey time for nightmare when everyone was like level 18.. Zone 1 was fine.. then zone 2... turn a corner and charged with my silent sister... run straight into a shield wall of 5! It was like an ambush. They circle in and I can't even walk out. PI amulet helps me to die standing up. My teammates lasted longer but finally we all succumbed to

You get the Druffy's Bane title for killing 5'000 large creatures.
Large creatures = Dragonlings, Giants, Druffy, Gurguts, etc
Easy way to farm them, go to FC, call the dragon, don't kill the dragon and let her call her babies.
