Played a bunch of games with Icneed. Playing an Arcane Warrior with 100 health is at once boring and terrifying. Anything can kill you at any time, or you could stand invincible raining lightning down for 10 minutes with impunity. Almost to 800,000 gold spent, still hoping for a Physical Immunity necklace. Plodding away with my 800 - 1200 damage hits watching people blast by me doing 4k - 8k every swing. Really need to fix my mic at some point. Gotta be able to chatter with Hit__Ready, Oenamous, and McBeth to pass the time during the endless promotion grind.

It is perfectly normal that 2hand sword will hit much harder than staves from basic attacks.

As far as I know, even our leader board NO.1 won't hit 4k per stave basic attack...

You will probably need a solid 2k willpower promotes to do that. (I think...)

Sorry, I was unintentionally misleading.  When I'm playing the same class, arcane warrior in this case, it was more like 800 v 1700 on basic attacks and 2k vs 4k on chain lightning hits.

 

The 4k-8k hits envy thing is a more general thing just watching Avvar's and Silent Sister's and Virtuoso's destroying things at will while I'm just trying to stay alive!

Chain Lightning damage seems inconsistent.

I basic for 1200 ish and crit for 7000 ish

But yeah its probably around 2000 willpower for a 4k+ basic attack....

Got Bloody Bargain after playing a few matches on Perilous as my Templar.  Equipped it on my Silent Sister and went to light speed before finally facing off against Commander Druffy.  

 

Had to head to work a match later, but I hope I bump into Commader Druffy again soon.

Spent half a match crying in a corner when I saw Nugs Katari do 21000 Pommel Strike when I can only manage 14000

Played with a level 10 arcane warrior who apparently decided the fade shield was not something he wanted in his build.  He was out to the fade in the first two rooms of a perilous match.

I assume DA4MP will be exactly the same as DAIMP, except that fade shield reduces health instead of generating barrier.

In d4mp, fade shield will generate less xp when it's activated.

Not quite sure why, but everyone bags on the Arcane Warrior in NM. I think a properly designed and played AW does just fine. Does he do massive damage? No, but he will do consistent damage over the entire match, and won't ever die (unless those damn qunari rogues get ahold of him). I'm not saying he's the greatest, but he does have a role. How about some stonefist for the shield dudes? Everyone like shield guys better when they're on the ground right?

Because there really isn't a wrong way to build an AW (Fade Shield) and for what he does, (which isn't much compare to other support classes) he gets and yields far too much. Throw in a storm pact belt which he seems to benefit most from and it's one of the most damaging classes due to lack of lightning Immunities from most factions. And there are numerous ways (fade step, fade cloak,spirit blade, etc) for him to deal dmg even if they aren't weak to it.

While it may not be the most damaging kit overall or the most exciting to play there isn't a character that can generate that type of overall Xp support, tank and dps because of (Fade Shield). Some people I know swear that the elementalist is better but they also have 650/650/300 but their opinion isn't factual due to their stats. And since willpower is such an important stat end-game wise, and AW being one of the fastest classes to be nm ready (lvl 2) as well as to promote it's a no brainer that it's one of most heavily used classes for promotion lords and scrubs alike.

You still have to walk up to the mooks and hold down the auto attack button... What's the difference except the fact that Dancer's dmg sucks (compared to hakkon ofc)?
