Got me a dancers ax finally, now 1 more 27 and pray to the RNG gods for my crescent.  Oh and did perilous FC as a level 1 AW with 2 health bars, no knock downs! Can't say the same for the other AW though...

Played again for the first time in forever, ran a handful of PUG's and even ended up running one game either with Rhorim or someone with a name that is very close to it.  Never mic'ed up though since I rarely do in randoms. 

 

I had the joy of realizing that I didn't remember the controls as quickly as I thought.

 

Couldn't find many people in Nightmare or Perilous so I ended up putzing around in threatening for a while.  I waffled between killing everything or standing back and letting the newer players do some of the killing.  Then I remembered that I needed 2mil kills so I took off with the destruction.

Oh and I had two great glitches this weekend that I had never seen before.

 

In a threatening, every time I opened a chest it teleported me back to the beginning.

 

then I got frozen in a different match and the only way I could move again was to throw a potion - the poor randoms must have thought I was nuts chucking potions everywhere.

Chipped away at some achievements this weekend, spent and hour or so in a lobby trying to give life advise to someone I had met in game, have a feeling none of it stuck since there was a heavy alcohol influence, but we were clearing perilous/nightmare rounds while chatting. Picked up a superb willpower amulet, was pretty happy about that. Got to play the hunter, whom I had 2/5 completions, he was level 12. Browsed the passives and abilities, got a few levels, and holy smokes! Wouldn't you know it, might have a new favorite perilous grinder for rogues for a little while! Spike Trap, Leaping Shot, Explosive Shot, and Elemental mines make for some pretty amazing combos and high survivability! I've heard he's a tough one to play in nightmare though, so I'll stick to my confident characters for those runs. Anyone offer some advice as to what I could replace explosive shot with? My beef with the ability is the animation time plus delay to actually hit the target.

Throwing blades maybe?  I don't play the hunter much as the archer is so much more fun with opportunity knocks + looks like it hurt.   When I play the hunter I feel like I spent more time waiting for cooldown than playing.

Had a LONG run w/ serendipitousElf and others on Sunday. It started in the early AM and we ran constant Nightmare Tevinter ruins from about 7am-2pm. It was exhausting but the promotes came fast. These people do not mess around. I had to RUN to the kitchen to make coffee and hurry back so as to not feel like I was leeching. Everyone was on point hitting all doors and getting all pots. It was a well oiled machine.

 

 

My hands still hurt a little.

5) doesn't happen often, but stealing a kill when I'm trying to heal when you have a reaver in the group let them deal with the melee peeps and try to focus on the ranged people

 

 

The trouble is no one knows what situation you are exactly in and what intentions you have. Hell I don´t even know if players have hok gear unless I deliberately watch them getting kills.

I do try to leave almost dead enemies to players with low health, but to be completely honest, it works 1 time out of 10 because very often I overcount and my last swing kills the enemy instead of leaving them with last bar of health or the enemy kills the player before they can get their heal or someone else does. So for others, I also tend to assume no one is doing it on purpose. Well, unless you are talking about some very obvious players who try to be mean.

Stealth...

 

Knife in the Shadows, auto crit from stealth. Or just cancel stealth manually and use an ability at the same time = auto crits until you die or go back in stealth.

Stealth, throwing blades, leaping shot, spike trap is what I run a lot.

 

Stealth, leaping shot, spike trap, and elemental mines if you're good at noticing choke points or don't mind running ahead and laying down sprinkles on the archers as they pelt your teammates.

That's what I have too.  Stealth and put down bunch of spike traps until stealth is almost over.. then I go hide in a snowdrift for 3 days until stealth refreshes.

 I might have been the other AW - lol.  Not sure if I was on my AW or Archer when I ran across you.  Took me about 4 matches to remember the buttons.

Nope - I don't use my spirit blade unless something is up on me - I seem to do more damage with my basic attack.  I must have been a pathetic archer when I ran with you then.  Just one game, I think Anarker popped into that one for a hot sec as well.

Thanks for dragging my level 10 Avvar through Nightmare. I was so tired I did not notice you changed the difficulty. My Avvar is not a NM superstar [ yet   ]. Surprised I only died twice on FC zone 4. Thanks for not tea-bagging me

I was so tired I fell asleep on zone 5 and surprisingly did not die. I think I fell asleep in zone 4 as well.

Sorry mates, my bad. I knew I should not have played that last game at 1:30AM after being so sloshed the night before.

 

I took a nap, caught up on sleep and basically took a weekend break from DAIMP.

Friend did it and challenged me to and I have been trying ever since.

I had to try KM an enemy just as it tried to smash me so I bounced up in the air.

Was goofing around with my rouges on Threatening. Again. Ended up in FC, Druffy faction. Druffy made me dance, disco lights and everything. This never happened to me before and I want to do it again.

Had a really frustrating night when I tried to play Saarebas. For some reason my spells weren't working right and Athlok Burst was completely ignoring rogues. It didn't affect them at all. They didn't freeze or get pulled in it was like I was just standing there. Really sucked. Rebooted, did a respecialization just for good measure.  Had to stop playing her, wish we had a tech support we could contact.
