Shouldn't be. The wife of a family friend suffers the same. They may be fewer, but you'll find your moments.

My wife has just been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

I will be around less and it's been a pleasure knowing you all and playing with some of you.

My heart goes out to you - that kind of thing can't be easy to hear.  Be there for her but in all of it remember to take care of yourself too, it's easy to forget yourself in something like that.

Good to hear that. When something bad happens it´s better to do things you like and all affected by it. Complaining and crying is making it not better anyway

I have seen so many new people, I mean REALLY new people plaything this weekend. I worked many, many hours helping them out on Routine and Threatening. Was a blast! I have had like ten promotions this weekend, most of that due to running with the new folks. I met a few who actually play more than I do lol!

This weekend I ran with oodles of randoms before I hopped into a match with Rhorim - poor guy, my friends all got on line right at that point in time and hopped into the room with us, then we managed to drag him into our chat party.  Many runs later we actually convinced him to be our friend.  Then at the end of the evening we decided to kill one more NM dragon to see if a friend of mine could finally get his Hakkon and at the end of the match sure enough there it is.  He was SO excited.  So of course that means we have to run "just one more" so that he can try it out.

 

It was a good weekend   Oh and there were tons of new people out there, wandering all over the map (I think looking for pots) dying left and right.  Makes me wish I had more candy instead of just the 2 per round.  It's hard to keep them alive sometimes.

Yeah, I have also seen an influx of new randoms on PC which makes me happy. I dropped by threatening to help some out yesterday and the leader bumped it up to perilous and they got some successful completions which is good.

The weird thing is, most of the new players that I've never seen before are just starting but I have also seen a few new names who are just dominating. A level 1 AW joined a peri solo I was in and I didn't recognize his name so I expected him to be dead weight. But, he more than held his own and was doing some decent damage. So, I figured he must be another highly promoted player I know who likes to change his in-game name. But that wasn't right either since I found that player later on with a different name.

It's also really weird when you join a friend from a different region and then everyone who hops in the game is new to you!

Yeah that party chat was interesting. Guy turning into a werewolf threw me for a loop.  Then JT talking about 180ish runs with no Hakkon.

 

Lots of new players, quite a few got angry at me for killing everything.  Others were happy for the free perilous run.  Have yet to understand why a new player will join a perilous match and complain about dying and not doing much for damage.  Then yell at others for carrying them.

I haven't really seen any new names in perilous for a long time.   This morning perilous is so dead.  After map 3 and no one joined, I thought I would just die in map 4 and go to work since I already got the nug and green fog gold.   Open map 4 door.. fell straight to map 5 with tiny bit of health.   Planned the flag, nothing happens.   Okay I can do this.. just need to find somewhere I could take fall damage since I am almost dead anyway.  Nope... cannot find any.... had to quit out... at least I kept the gold....  this game needs a suicide button.

 You are correct - we used to get ourselves as low as possible then wait for the dragon to finish us off.

Oh.. I don't know!  I guess not!   I can't even take 1 single damage from fall on elven ruin map 5.  I tried everything.

Also got to show a few people the ropes this weekend, met a couple new players and vicariously enjoyed their thrill for the game, everyone I have met I have told them to READ THIS FORUM. So hopefully even if they aren't posting, they are absorbing all the information not given or not apparent in the game.

 

Anywho, played some Katari matches to promote this morning then one peri Avvar to hop up to lvl 13, then Smurf tossed me an invite. Debated for a minute whether I could be of any use, but decided ultimately that as long as I try(which means spam the hell out of hakkon's charge and km for chilled defense) it couldn't hurt. Autumn was running barrier, Nathanael and Smurf were melting faces. Highlight is zone 1 I go for an electric mage near the first treasure room, I HC, then KM, and since a couple adds were running to me, LW. I get taken out by the electric mage, but LW brings me back 3 times? Immediately dying before I could use a potion or anything, so to the fade I go! Not my best start there. I survive zone 2, most of zone 3, and I believe I made it through 4. Non dragon 5/5 I die near the commander and watch the fight. So we finish and as I'm about to leave I decide to open some chests and lo and behold, I got my first Hakkon (Valor)!

I wear lightning resist belts on my warriors and rogues.   I like to step on the electric mines for fun.  When I see fire mages.. I ran the other way.

Learned just now that cheats affect all players in the session, at least if it's the leader cheating. Joined a game where I as hunter had full guard and health all the time. Took a while for me to notice, and actually stayed a bit longer than I should have. Left when I realized how utterly boring it is playing that way (plus that I don't want to risk any guilt by association ).

Started a PUG FC run today. We drew the frost dragon in the fire dragon setting. Was soooooooooooo weird seeing ice and frost in the summer setting.  Was a hoot. Never seen that before.
