Smooth sailing most of last night and this morning, mostly perilous matches. Apologies to Smurf and Autumn as I did afk a bit during 1 or 2 matches, Daycare closed early so I hung out with my daughter for a little while, then she decided to watch a movie and I thought she was content for enough time to get in a couple matches, but when she saw DAMP looked cooler than Frozen, had to start tending to her needs, then bath time of course. I don't usually play in groups when she's around, if anything I just make a private threatening or perilous run and stop in between zones. I wish there was a status I could set to 'daddy mode' or 'serious business'

Had a fun night last night, ran about 5 threatenings with randoms.  On one I got to the 4th board of FC with my lv 7 AW wearing the belt and see that it's Bolters and assassins they all went down quickly and with the barrier stripping I couldn't stop attacking to pick them up.  They were all crawling toward me spamming "Over hear" until I finally put on the mic and said "Sorry, I have the belt on - If I pick you up we wipe.  They all laid there quietly until I cleared the board for them then they all popped up happily and we slayed a dragon.

 

After that some of my friends popped in and we ran several NM - I joked that for my birthday maybe the RNG would gift me my PI amulet... instead it gave me my last Hakkon - the one hander, which I didn't know I was even missing

 

Thank you RNG for the only birthday present I received.

Grats!  Too bad it happened last night.. but if it was this morning I have to say I contributed because I was singing "happy birthday to you" for like 300 times maybe more....

I had the GREATEST perilous PUG last night - it left me in tears I was laughing so hard.

 

So I log in and my AW is at 19 with just a smidge to go to promote.  I felt bad taking it into a threatening so I hop into a random perilous match.  I'm in there now with 3 guys who speak Spanish so I have no idea what they are saying, but I didn't have my mic on so I wasn't worried.  I then realize that there is no way these guys belong in perilous.  So with two faded companions and a SS that is doing everything they can to remain standing we make it to the last board.  It's Venatori (I hate chasing that stupid woman) and within seconds all three of them are drinking in the fade bar.

 

So I go to work and didn't think anything of it until I kill the commander and hear the three of them start cheering.  I laughed and went back to killing the mobs and when I was down to the last few they started this uproar like it was a soccer match.  By the time I finished I was dying laughing because they were literally screaming into the mics as if we had won the superbowl.

 

That made my night

Yesterday I soloed 2,5 FC zones. Then a newbie joined (no damage but he managed to stay alive   ). I called dragon, cleared zone 4, lost connection to DA servers.

Found some shiny new people in threatening - decided to take them to perilous, and then on to nightmare.  They did a lot of dying but were excited to see how if you complete a perilous or NM you go from 1-12 or 1-15 so it doesn't take another hundred years on routine and threating to get back to 20.  They were a lot of fun actually and we hope they keep playing.

 

I only got kicked from one lobby before they started, and only had to kick one leecher (which is good considering all of the new people on the game)  We tried to give the leecher credit that maybe he was in Narnia, but when he suddenly ran up to the end of the board before we had popped the next door we were irritated.  My friend and I were like "you are on a s-bus!" if you have to stay in the back at least throw out barrier to keep the other newbie who is trying alive - we can see that you have barrier"  he had four boards to try to shape up and finally he got the boot.

 

But yea - the influx of new blood has made for some VERY entertaining PUGS.  At one point our chat had all of us in different games just because we all wanted to see what happened with the new people.

I would kill to be in a mosh like that with the Templar wombo combo, Saar anything, Necromancer walking bomb, Avvar lady's wrath, power chord spam, Archer spike trap spam..... !

I have seen a lot of saarebas's who seem to be ashamed of barrier or something.  I know they got barrier but rarely using it.   Seriously you rather throw out some electric bacons that can't even kill a foot soldier than giving the team 30% extra support xp?

Exactly - the Saarebas is the only character who can still be helpful from Narnia - if you are going to hid in the back, bring the s-bus and spam the barrier so you are at least doing something

Had a lot of server failures and disconnects yesterday after a smooth run of not many bugs.  Hate to jinx myself but I have not gone to Narnia in AGES, has narnia been fixed somehow?  Are people still going there other than me?

I find that I end up in Narnia only on certain characters, mainly the S-bus, Alchemist and Reaver.  I just realized that yesterday when I was going through all of my Narnia pics and all of them had me playing one of those three.  Since I have been on the AW and Katari for the last few weeks I haven't been there once.

 

Had two friends go there yesterday - one was on the Reaver the other on the Alchemist.

I get Narnia with Avvar a lot on zone 2 of FC.

You can see through walls all way up through zone 3 to 5. Then you get stuck when others port to zone 3. Have to rejoin game ... or leave altogether if pug
