Joined a Peri run and either Timbo or JanShay wanted to kick me. (I know its not AE-Inc cuz it was there before he got there). If any of you long timers know what I did to offend either of them please let me know either here or PM me. I have no idea what I could have done as I have played with them a lot in the past. I like playing with them both so I hope I can clear it up.

AE-inc is a female just FYI, she rarely chimes in on chat, but she's very easy going, not the type to kick anyone at all unless for really good reason. Only thing I could think there is they had a 4th drop that was trying to reconnect or maybe he did pass judgement on you. I don't know his personality very well, from what I remember he plays ok but can be reckless at times.

On a better note - JT and I went out into Nightmare land on our own thinking someone awesome would jump in our lobby with us. We went ahead and started a NM, Me on 14 Katari and he on S-Bus lv 16. 14 is not a level we do NM on without our friends.
So halfway through the first board we have a Reaver join - JT informs me "He's in the inquisition jogging suit... I think we're screwed" we proceed to watch the Reaver kill himself with his dragon rage - three times. So an Avvar joins, also in the inquisition jogging suit. He actually kills something before dying. By the way... we got Venatori heavy on the mages and assassins, light on the brutes and hyenas.
We get to the next board - Reaver is down, killed by self within 30 seconds. Avvar makes it through and is killed by Dragon walking to next board.
Third board - it all goes bad. Reaver is killed by dragon when we open the door, Avvar makes it about 2 minutes in. All assassins and mages. Glyphs for DAYS everywhere, glyphs on glyphs on glyphs and freaking assassins stripping guard and barrier. This was the LONGEST freaking board of my life. So JT (who actually plays a bang up support S-Bus) alternates between knocking down the assassins with barrier, and giving me rings so that I can play blender with my Dancer's axe. It took FOREVER. About half way through the Reaver quits out so we are both hoping that someone with some skill is about to pop in and help us with the disaster. In comes - ANOTHER REAVER also in the Jogging suit. At this point we both just start laughing and resign ourselves to wiping. New reaver runs in, kills an assassin, gets killed by a stack of 90 glyphs. Somehow we made it to the next board.
JT and I decide to take bets on who is going down first - New Reaver, Avvar, or Inquisition Captain. JT's bet was on New Reaver, I was still debating when the Inquisition Captain charged out leapt on a glyph and took a snowball to the face... Apparently Inquisition Captain wasn't about to be out killed by these new guys. So we look - shield guys and mages... Since I'm not cool enough to PI, shield guys take me forever to get through. By this point JT and I had a good rhythm down, it wasn't speedy but it was effective. Avvar made it up to the top half of the board (GO AVVAR!) and it was just the two of us again. When we finally finished I had to ask "JT, tell me you have curse, please god tell me you have curse because if not it's just me and this dragon and this will be a 90 minute nightmare"

when the dust settled he says "you realize we just two manned a nightmare with double buffs on the enemy right?" I asked him if that was an accomplishment or the beginning of the apocalypse.

For the 1st time tried to farm spiders last night....blech....
Took about 10 tries to get demons on nightmare, I kept accidentally killing the fear demons. Finally got quite a few spiderlings on wave 4 but am sill a long ways away. I think someone stated that the best map for farming was the castle, perhaps I'll try that this evening.

3 is okay but 4 was much much better, particularly on NM.
You could try a low damage weapon and a lot of dodging/stealth/take a really high % HoK for farming only (weapon and both rings)
I just ran from middle of zone 4 to the end of zone and back again. Things were chasing me all over the place so the mini map showed perfectly where all the little spiders were cause the dots didn't move until I got close to them. Some were stuck in walls and didn't move at all.
I haven't done it yet, I think templar maybe easier than assassin for farming spiders. Demon pretty much can't hurt templar and she could clear them faster than assassin with AE to zone 4. And spiders is pretty much 1 basic attack 1 kill.. and don't have to worry about stealth or HoK as fear demon does like no damage.
Just a thought, pick out a character with no AoE, I would think Silent sister would be a perfect fit. How about Savage Thorn and Bloody Bargain, so you have guard and HoK, add a little if needed. Hidden Blades plus Upgrade would give plenty of hits to stack guard, so would spinning blades. War Cry I find is an awesome ability for SS for survivability. Throwing Blades is a no no, as it targets anyone it damn well pleases, and Flashing Steel has a surprisingly high AoE range and does good damage, so that might damage the fear demons too much. As for the fourth ability, I dunno what I would choose if I was going to farm spiders, can't think of all her abilities, just something else suitable for nightmare or crowd control, maybe warhorn with upgrade so you can crowd control shield guys, damage enemies with guard.
Anyone else have their recommended character and build for spider farming? I'm assuming we're in nightmare mode for more spiders and harder kills on fear demons, and I can only solo NM on a couple different guys.
Separate note, and as it pertains to PuG or groups in general, just wanted to say the following...I always appreciate an invite, and I usually try to message back if I can't or wish not to join. But I don't ignore invites, and quite often I can only play for 30 minutes to an hour, so I opt out so that I'm not putting anyone at a disadvantage. Or....if the invite comes from papa smurf or someone else from the creme de la creme, I assume the lobby to be at nightmare, and I don't join if I'm full of characters less than level 10. I usually don't want to be carried though I appreciate that as well. Just wanted to iterate that sentiment, thank you for your time and consideration in this matter. Have a wonderful day.
I have an issue on the PSN where the invite sometimes won't show up for 20 minutes or more... it makes me feel like a jerk when I appear to have ignored invites. I generally try to respond to any I get, even if it's a "hey playing with friends, thanks for the invite, maybe later"
Try the PSN app. Messages double post quite a lot and I'm sure at least one person thinks I am spamming...
Yeah I use that regularly - I keep my phone next to me when I play to respond to messages, since it takes me forever and a day to message someone from my Playstation

I don't remember my 1 handed sword hit multiple targets?. 
On the first attack of the sequence? I only do attack cancel. I haven't done it in NM, but I had been farming spider in perilous before with templar and the fear demons never got damaged... maybe I am just too weak LOL
Or do you mean accidentally hit the fear demon? Oh that I am fine... my wp is so weak that even on purpose it will take a while for me hack a fear demon down.

That is who I used but you made some good comments about the build and throwing blades which i am in the habit of using alot.

Scientifically speaking, what was the control here? Did the same person switch from meat to a non-meat eating diet? Probably needs more tests.

I can confirm the first sword strike for Templar/Legionnaire using attack cancel hits multiple targets. I try and abuse this as much as possible.
Though I am in the same boat, it will take quite some time to kill a fear demon with basic attacks, even in Perilous.
