Played with some good new folks yesterday, a week or less with the game.  Ran perilous for about 2 hours.  Joined as a lvl 1 Duelist and ended up wiping in zone 5.  I can't quite lvl 1 perilous solo yet (i'm looking at you Hakkon's Mercy.)  Played with them with leveled characters instead and had an easy time of it for 5-6 runs.

I figured out I'm not a very good ambassador of the game... lol.  I did give one tip to save their cotton, though.

It's been a while since I've played exclusively perilous.  Promotions come so much slower!

Perilous > NM > HB games with Autumn and Kallen tonight.

Great fun.

Kallen had to change his underwear when I ramped it up to FC HB. He is now a believer! Was easy.

Playing with you guys keeps the game fresh for me just hoping you get a Hakkon.

EDIT: Avvar is still a beast on HB.

Can I not combine the best of both the templar and the Avarr into one super power?

Just got kicked by "Slackka" from a PUBIC NM match on level 4/5 because they were saving the spot for someone else. Then make it a DAMN PRIVATE match, TOTAL DICK MOVE. Removed from my friend list. No time for crap like that. Mind you they only kicked me after I killed like 20 baddies, Screw that, Makes me want to stop playing altogether.

And yes I am calling him out because he deserves it.

Just got kicked ...

Ouch! The unfortunate mislabeling of "friend"

A spot for someone else?

If we're not a friend then what are we, chop liver:huh:

A good explanation and an apology is in order.

Kicking can send a message, if for a good reason,

like not waiting for someone to finish a treasure room on Perilous level..

you should know better by then to see where everyone is at before pulling the door, or rushing a group you just joined.

Let someone from the group open the first few doors and feel out the pace the group wants.

I've never had any issues with him, I wonder if their friend got kicked and they were trying to get him back in.  I've done that - I always feel terrible about it but I've done it.

Three of us had to kick a guy the other day at the flag of zone 5. The leader had to go do something away from the keyboard for like 30 seconds before we planted the flag. This new guy kept spamming "over here" at the flag nonstop for the whole duration. The leader comes close to the flag but does not enter and gets on the mic and says "keep doing that". The other guy gets on the mic and says "okay" and proceeds to continually do it in the leader's face while both of them are outside the flag area. This goes on for quite a while. I felt like I finally understood what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object :P We ended up having to kick the spammer since it was clear neither of them were going to budge from their staredown. Felt kind of bad kicking someone at zone 5 but he knowingly chose to play games and aggravate the leader in the most annoying possible way. He was also being carried the whole time if that makes any difference. Still don't like to do it but the only other solution was kicking the leader which would be inappropriate in this situation or leaving myself which I had no reason to.

PS4 should have a "player list" not a "friend list" for more reasons than I can count

You should have stood outside the circle and went and made dinner.

Would have been a good social experiment to see if they would reconcile their differences in order to kick you.

Wow, I'm all for social experiments and that would have been a good one! I also wonder how people would react if I had like a Dr. Phil soundbite about people needing to get along that I would just play continually over the mic?

Setting emotions aside, I think Slackka is someone you could message to get some clarification on the kick, he is a reasonable person. Perhaps the lobby was 'public' at first to grab people but became more of a private match and they forgot to change format. They usually have a party chat going as well, though sometimes it is set to private so you can't see it. I found out that was why I didn't see their party chat the other day when I hopped into their nightmare game and got pissed off.

Anyways, all I'm saying is sometimes you gotta follow up with someone that makes a 'dick move' just to get a reason, and thereafter they can either wear the crown of dick, or everyone can make amends and move on happily ever after.

Threateaning, LVL 1 Lego.
Starting screen. One player were AFK and didn't start. The other 2 voted to kick me, but not the AFK. After 2 minutes waiting, I went to bed.

Always on threateaning... Can't explain.

Rattled off a whole slew of games with what I assumed was a couple that were completely new to MP. I don't have too many promotions but I have some decent gear that allows me to carry people through Threatening, for the most part, and I don't have any qualms with doing so but I started wondering during these runs if I was killing the enjoyment for the rest of the party by clearing out the zones before they could really contribute. As the matches went on, I would end up slowing down and leaving mobs near death for the others to mop up.

It may be a silly question to ask here since most of the people who post on these forums have been around for a while but do people care if someone just mows everything down before they could really do anything? I personally don't care when someone else does it since it just means quicker leveling but I worry about the people not having fun by feeling like they're not doing anything, especially newer players. I imagine just completing games is fun enough but who knows.

I'm the type that will mainly open doors and collect gold, helping if I think i need to and taking down bosses quickly. On Threatening it kinda irks me but /only/ because I don't like tagging along behind just looking at the scenery. I like to not feel useless even if it is quick leveling so I try to have that consideration for others.

I tend to value the "group experience" and wait for others if they get too far behind, etc. This goes around as well; I usually don't continue in PUGs where people are "too egoistic" / soloing. But that's more from personal preference, I think quite a few values speed running as well.

It depends entirely on my mood and the PUGs.  If I'm in a threatening and the people are clearly new/lowbies, I will stay just behind them and collect pots - attack over their heads etc so that they get to do most of the killing.  If they start losing health or I get bored then I kill everything and go to the next board.  I also tend to stand in the doorway while they open chests.  Just in case they need a little back up.

Now if they seem like confident players who are just in threatening to slap a few levels on their char before going into perilous or NM - then I'll go on a killing spree because it's more fun that way.

It depends entirely on my mood and the PUGs.  If I'm in a threatening and the people are clearly new/lowbies, I will stay just behind them and watch them burn - in over their heads etc so that they get to do most of the killing.  If they start losing health or I get bored then I kill everything, included them, and go to the next board.  I also tend to stand in the doorway while they open chests, just in case they need a little back up, then hit stealth and watch enemies travel through me towards their unsuspecting prey for a right good mauling.

Now if they seem like confident players who are just in threatening to slap a few levels on their char before going into perilous or NM - then I'll go on a killing spree because those cowards shouldn't be playing in here anyway.
