I run a non-AoE Elementalist (particularly at the moment) with a Barrier.
It's tough on individual targets and has good team and self-protection.
I have successfully clutched zone 5 with it.
My same preferred build. I tried stone fist instead of the the fire small area spell this time but will go back to the other one once i promote. Fist is not doing as well as I had hoped.
My poor Legionnaire was gleefully tanking his way to the end of Red Templars, and I was clogging up the choke point from just outside entrance to The Room™ when I noticed that everyone in The Room™ had just been taken down by the Commander. I had less than a second to register that when the sudden shift of all aggro to me dropped me like a stone.

I'm very fond of Stone Fist, it has a very short cooldown (and a lovely 'thump' sound).

Haha, ME 3 multiplayer all over again. It took me over thirty seconds to find my way through the door after joining an in-progress match, due to lag. Yeah, nope.
Followed by a great few runs with a Lego, AW, and Archer. The only problem was that my Alchemist was affected by PotA. Which we turned into an advantage - PotA pulls me into all the enemies, I pop the ice flask, and the archer follows up with explosive shot for a lot of shatters.
Second night after patch, no no-key-bug anymore, happy me. But still plenty of "could not connect to session" and being dropped into empty lounges, sometimes about 10 minutes in a row. And one crash in the final area and still some annoying rubberbanding sigh.
Started shopping off my huge cash amounts and the first large chest dropped an epic one-handed blade, yay, my classes are now complete with epic weaponry!
Played the Necromancer for the first time, did some threatening runs from level 6 onwards. Easy and straightforward, first going for upgraded Blizzard and using it aplenty, keeping enemies in the area via Horror. Died only twice, once shot in the back by the Red Templar´s redlyrium gun, once by a Revenant´s grabbing spell (wanted to Fade Cloak but did not have mana and realized it too late).
Started to re-level the Legionnaire with the new epic blade. Died once at level 4 in threatening, the Templar Commander Earth Shaked right into my ass while I was trying to hold the chokepoint.

Threatening demons PUG with my Alchemist, and I'd wasted healing potions trying to keep the PUGs alive. They all eventually went into the fade, and it was down to me and the demon commander both practically down to no HP left. I took a gamble, went into stealth, activated poison blades and hit it with a Flank attack. He hit me with a melee simultaneously, and we both went down. Thankfully, due to the 5% HoK on my Wicked Grace, and the 5% HoK ring, I rose victorious.

Match starts... and all four of us had the stuck-in-place (but can still use specials) bug, even the Host!
sheesh. I thought I was searching for a Threatening match and wound up joining a Perilious sojourn instead w/ a lvl 14 AW...just in time to run into 3 Red Templar assassins while attempting to revive someone. Stayed w/ the group for the next one and actually completed it. Yay for preserverance.
3 Elementalist and 1 Necromancer... So much aoe but the survival was long.

I'm pissed when I miss a golden nug >< I can never get them as an arcane warrior, but it's so easy as an archer or elementalist.

Exactly, I'd switch on my mic and holler, 'the nug !! the nug !!' if there was time,
but it's such a fast little critter that would be too late for a tunnel visioned team-mate...

A sorcerer turned Nugs into gold skinned Nugs with chocolate inside... At least that's what I like to believe ... Chocolate bunny wrapped in gold
