I also tried hook and tackle on the assassin just for kicks and was really hoping it would do heavy damage with the bosun blade equipped but enemies always turn around before you get to kick them in the back when soloing anyway. Didn't get to try it a team game.

A big thanks to lcneed who proposed a very fun build idea to me. Hook and tackle with the hunter. When upgraded, it has no cooldown or stamina cost. It also does damage which the description does not mention! I have not played hunter for a long time just because I would rather play archer if I want to use a bow. But hook and tackle finally made the hunter fun for me again. The other skills I took were leaping shot, spike trap, and explosive shot. Just hook onto an enemy, drop a spike, use leaping shot, or just simply attack at close range with the basic attack. Hook and tackle combats one of my last favorite activities in this game, walking. Also it seems to stagger enemies, even shield bearers, which can be opportunistically used. It may get a little obnoxious for teammates to see you zipping all over the map constantly but it's great fun. Works great in perilous but probably not so great in NM but I haven't tried it there yet.

Oh I didn't know you could do it with assassin too...
I was just trying to do some of the 250 matches with hunter when I decided to try out H&T. I think I heard xray talked about it before so just decided to give it try. Best skill ever!
The only thing is that I think it may lag the game with so much flipping in the air. And in FC maps, I often get hooked to the underworld.... once or twice I got stuck there for the rest of the match.

Some good and some bad games last night. Got two skulls in one game on FC castle which I joined on the 2nd to last wave. I was playing as a level 1 Duelist. In any case the players refused to come to the flag on the last level and I was wondering why until I looked at the roster and saw the two skulls. Thus I just left.

I tried hook and tackle and it is fun but I usually end up skipping it and just run up right into a mob drop spike trap and then leaping shot out of there.

I love using hook & tackle on dragons to get onto the tower top in FC. Once there was also a Saarebas there and I surprised her a bit when I joined her
It's harder to maneuver than fade step though. I failed more than I succeeded. Most of the time I would drop from the balcony to the ground, losing 2/3 of my health...
From my personal experience hook & tackle is great fun in perilous. Combined with spike trap hunter is effectively turned into an agile bomber. If there is a capable group it's still viable in NM. I'm not so sure about HB...Tried a few times getting to those despair demons with hook & tackle. Once I landed on them they started screaming/dancing around then froze me before I could drop spike traps ![]()
I have only seen one person, who's a friend of mine, using hook & tackle on the assassin. He has good promotions so when in a group he can face tank most of the mobs in NM as an assassin with hook & tackle. In one of those games he zipped through the wall of a burning house in Orlesian Chateau, stuck there and couldn't get out...He took a few pictures inside the house then had to exit & rejoin the game. ![]()

I think one of the absolute worst moments (aside from this guy yelling at his wife, child, and dog) was when he wore his mic into the bathroom. Dude, really?
I was on this one match where three blokes were talking about the "best masturbation techniques". I learned WAY WAY WAY more than I ever wanted to know about men's "equipment". ![]()

Technically... I do have a Blackberry. So, not as smart, but i like to touch it and access its hotspot.
Why would anyone upgrade? Also i don't like Apple products and cringe thinking about an 800 phone i know i will drop (or lose). I am at ease with the Blackberry, for now. Perhaps in the future if i need to coordinate with a partner, i'll consider it, but there are better ways to spend 800+1,200 in access fees per year.

Mic discretion.. you know, flip it up and be aware of who is in your earshot. I prob would have got on my mic and said. hey, you know I'm here? make them all crap themselves before they lost connect on random... Of course you don't have a mic, you could have muted them though. I would have.

Hahahaha burping! You must've been in the same match as my girlfriend! I logged in the other night and she sent me a 'save me!' text. Once she got in my lobby she gave out this huge sigh and stated she'd been in a game where the guy had burped the whole time. Must've been a Guiness Book of Records. And not the kind they brew in Ireland, either.

If PS4 then maybe. Been about a week ago and he did seem to be full of more air than is normal. I should have just turned my mic on and let him listen to my cat. An equally annoying sound when she wants attention. ;D
