How about this setup if we can gather 4 players :

 

Keeper : storm pact belt. Main barrier caster 

Ele : inferno pact belt. Must have fire mine and barrier for backup when keeper's barrier is unavailable.

Necro : winter pact belt. Bring walking bomb and ice mine

Saarebas : pact belt based on personal preference. Wall and breath are required. Ring or glyph is OK but barrier is not allowed.

 

Although it doesn't strictly meet all the requirements, it's sort of a combination of 2), 4) ,5), 6)  Be aware of high risk of wiping In order to maximize the chance of surviving I think all the mages need to be level 15 or higher... 

 

For a Necromancer with a Winter Pact Belt I think I would prefer: Winter's Grasp, Frost Step, Blizzard & probably Spirit Mark (for self-revival purposes) as the 4th ability. Including Saarebas would work too provided she does not have Barrier.

 

Although keep in mind we do not definitely even have a 4th player at this point so perhaps we do not want to make the requirements too complicated.

For me I always felt connected to the game by coming to the forum every day.

Be careful not to play Tevinter Ruins from August 27th onward as the Forum is shutting down on the 26th and you will be stuck on zone 4/5 forever.

I did a good job on essentially a solo perilous this am with a necromancer, vs scummy darkspawn and then the bolters on FC. Another player joined when I had two bolters left before facing the dragon. 

 

The necro which can be pretty squishy is certainly a class that benefits a lot from lots of promotions.

RogueKnight333, 3y3Vr3, and I attempted the NM pact belt challenge yesterday. The rules were that everyone had to be wearing a pact belt for the NM game. Saarebas barrier was not allowed, and we kind of banned the Virtuoso for being too good for survival abilities. The first game was RogueKnight333 with a winter pact Necro, 3y3Vr3 with an electric pact Keeper, and me with a fire pact Elementalist against the Darkspawn with bolters active... Once we got our barrier rotation correct between the keeper and elementalist, the game actually went pretty smoothly. Bolters fell quickly to the awesome strength of the pact belt! We ended up winning this round.

 

The 2nd round I switched to electric pact Saarebas, RK went with fire pact Elementalist, and 3y3Vr3 stayed with the electric pact keeper. We ended up wiping on zone 5 against Samson's spinning sword spam and the Red templar horror (electric immune, ie, immune to 2/3 of our party  ) AOE spam.

 

It's definitely a fun challenge! We were also talking about a possible future threatening level difficulty challenge... hear me out. Threatening difficulty, inquisition armor and inquisition weapons only with pact belts. No barrier spam or Virtuoso allowed. I honestly have no idea if we would steamroll this or if it would be a challenge since I haven't played with those weapons/armors, or under these conditions for the longest time/ever!

quick question to anyone: if i use hakkons honor and the shield that procs walking fortress. do they stack? or should i use a different shield?

HH & Isatinnol don't stack, better use Wintherbreath or MoE.The same abilities never stack!

Have been having fun playing all the characters after sticking with 3 or 4 for a long time to just get objectives.

A few things I learned:

 

1) In a normal team setup, cooldown of keeper's barrier is usually not a problem once she gets gathering storm + clean burn + barrier upgrade. Yet in a situation where non-stop barrier is absolutely needed, her cooldown is still too long to keep it constantly going...Also in the way we were playing, mobs were either shocked, burned or frozen to death from afar before they could even reach us, which made mana surge useless most of the time 

 

2) ele is awesome with fire belt on. Fire mine is even more devastating. Fire wall and firestorm deal massive over time damage as well as crowd control. With flashpoint he is even better than keeper at spamming barrier...sort of...  

 

3) For a team of all pact-belt mages, Samson is way worse than bolters cuz he's immune to almost all status effect except sleep/shock. The harsh wiping was hardly avoidable since none of us could kite him and we had to stay close to each other for barrier...Our fate was sealed the moment he came in starting to do his whirlwind   If there had been an AW, he would have been the best candidate to face tank Samson...but we need to stay true to the spirit of the game: no self-sustained barrier 

 

All in all it were great runs. Reaching wave 5 in both games was not as hard as I had imagined thanks to teamwork

Been hopping around on Threatening and Perlious with my support S-bas trying to find newer folks I can help. Been a lot of fun and I've gotten tons of thanks that make it even more worth it. Fun to see them confused and then suddenly realizing what the rings really do. xD Had 30 games with her on Sunday and just reached 100 today.

The toughest part of playing Sea bass is running after companions trying to give then glyphs as they run away from you.

Omg this. And then you get two zones in and they start hopping in front of you. Had an acher run up and then away everytime I started.

Accidently let his barrier drop and he died. I felt terrible about it.

It was the three of you who killed most of the mobs.I just ran around spamming devour and throwing in might blow here and there. Thanks to your barrier I survived.Though it was not my intention to play as a level 1 Reaver... Didn't notice it was bumped up to NM when I ready up
