The Alchemist keeps on giving for build options.
And Luka is both badass and funny !
Welp thank the maker she's more upbeat than her song namesake.

Lagchemist run. Failed to extract a threatening pug for the first time in a while, and I'm going to blame crazy rubberbanding (+/- scrubbitude). We got to zone 3 with a couple of deaths here and there, but we're starting to get a good team dynamic. The assassin opens a door with 3 enemies inside. Instead of running inside to start killing, I rubberband into a wall. Cue 3s of lag. Suddenly the archer and templar are down from full health (I can only assume they were having similar lag issues), and there's a behemoth red lyrium wall perfectly blocking the door. The assassin is stuck INSIDE the lyrium crystals while stealthed. I can't get inside to resurrect anyone, when 2 more behemoths pop up (literally, pop up from nowhere) next to me and mc hammer me while I run on the spot instead of moving, thanks crappy internet connection. A red templar knight helpfully finishes off the assassin with projectile spam. To add insult to injury, a group of mobs just runs through the lyrium crystals like they weren't there WTF?
Just when I thought I'd gotten quite good at dealing with lag, since only 1/10 games is reasonably lag free for me and it doesn't usually stop me from extracting anymore (thanks to equipment upgrades).
That said, it was my first run with an alchemist, and I feel no shame at being defeated by lag commander.
TL;DR lag commander 2 op, needs nerf. Biower pls.
My internet isn't that great but i've never had rubberbanding like that, ever. Maybe the host was on dial up lol. Either that or someone on the team had the cutscene framerate change applied.

I can't connect to the DA servers with the last hr or more *sadness* and I have time to kill right now. PS network, my internet connection, biower pls?

guess I'll have to read a book then, this is awful. ![]()

Wow you really dodged a bullet there!

I was doing a threatening run on my reaver without a mic with 3 guys that were drunk as hell. Amazingly, we didn't wipe once, although the drunk AW got mad because the Red templar commander kept "Smashing my Junk with that Big A** Toothpick."
I love PuGs
Running a PUG. Miracle of miracles, the Lego understands both guard and threat generation. Happy day!
He then rage-quits after Stage 3.
Over a treasure room.
That we didn't open.
It was a barrier room.
Our party was Lego, Reaver, Archer, Assy.

Maybe he just wanted to test if you really can open any treasure room by pressing the Alt key while frantically spamming 'GET OVER HERE!' ![]()
My graphics driver updated yesterday and now I get this two or three second stutter complete with accompanying BZZZRTT! noises every sixty seconds almost on the button. Still trying to get that sorted, but I didn't realise it was going on when I joined a PuG earlier and that was a little unfair to them. Whoopsies.
Finally played through Perilous as my Arcane Warrior and Legionnaire with a buddy of mine. Did pretty well as them too. Wiped when I played as my Arcane Warrior because we didn't have a tank, but we (barely) managed to extract when I played my Legionnaire.
My friend was playing as a lower level Keeper, one random was playing as a level 20 Hunter, and the other random was playing as a level 15 Arcane Warrior. My friend kept me Barriered pretty well throughout the match and I did a really good job keeping my Guards up. I only lost a bit of health, which was soon regened thanks to my Shield of the Emperor. No one went down for the first 4 zones (we were fighting demons), but zone 5 was when everything erupted into chaos.
Everyone took cover in the pot room and I went to plant the banner (would've asked the Hunter to do it, but he said he specced out of Fallback Plan) and blitzed it back to everyone. I then turned around and blocked the doorway, waiting for the Shades and etc. to show up. Then we got to work blocking the doorway, the Hunter and Arcane Warrior taking care of anything that got through. I was spamming Walking Fortress, Shield Bash, and Challenge as I fought the literal swarm of demons around me, my friend keeping me and the randoms Barriered as well as he could, before the Demon Commander decided to make his entrance.
At this point, we'd cleared at least half of the mobs, but the Demon Commander popped up underneath my friend and the Hunter, knocking them both on their asses due to their Barrier taking the hit. They kited him a bit and I pulled back into the room with everyone as the Fear and Terror demons took advantage of the situation. The Hunter was the first to go down and my friend revived him as I tried to aggro the Demon Commander. Cue the circle of running around the room, kiting the Demon Commander, DPSing everything that entered the room, and my friend and the Hunter getting downed and revived. Eventually, my friend and the Hunter went for a trip in the Fade and it was just me and the Arcane Warrior vs. the Demon Commander, 2 Fear Demons, and a few Wraiths.
I kept the Demon Commander on me and distracted the Fear demons while the Arcane Warrior took care of the Wraiths. I managed to take down one of the Fear demons, but the other kept hitting me when the Demon Commander knocked me on my ass. I was actually taking a pretty good beating too, despite the Spirit Resistance Tonic I used. The Arcane Warrior came back and took out the last Fear demon before going back to the remaining Wraiths. After that, it was a game of Pop Goes the Weasel as me and the Arcane Warrior kept running around like headless chickens. Of course, being the demon vet I am, I always made sure to watch out for the green puff of smoke to indicate when the Demon Commander was going to play Peek-A-Boo and Shield Wall appropriately. It was pretty tense and I actually ended up having to use both of my health potions, which is really rare for me. Had to tell the Arcane Warrior to stick to fighting at range a couple times and he finally seemed like he started listening after he got downed the second time.
After another 10-15 minutes of playing Pop Goes the Weasel with the Demon Commander, we finally took him down. Was a pain in the ass and a good initiation to Perilous for my Legionnaire, nonetheless.

I always feel stupid when I shout over here at a door then realize we don't have that class.

I wish there were more commands to make your character speak. I am willing to not use potions to get extra buttons mapped for banter.
I have determined that I do not like playing tank at all on perilous. I'll just stick to threatening when I play any melee build. I simply get hand cramp after about 2 waves because it takes soooooo long to kill even the mooks.
Had a couple of good looking rare smooth games on perilous back to back.....1st one, up to the end of wave 3....GAME CRASH TO DESKTOP! Next game up to wave 4...GAME CRASH TO DESK TOP!
Had a good win last game of the night my keeper and an AW were last standing but beat the demons so that was good.

"I heard you the first time." -- For the guys who spam "over here" when I'm killing stray fire wraiths.
"Leave this one to me." -- For assassins. Please, let me remove that stalker before the fight starts.
"lol no." -- Assassinated mage. See above.
Also, some lines aren't objective enough. Since you can't un-pull enemies, "retreat" should just be "wait."
GAME CRASH TO DESK TOP!
Last game before promotion, zone 5, guaranteed.

Whew!! Close call.
Red templars are slowly becoming my DAMP Geth. Okay, not really. But, shadows. I tanked a GIANT on my Necromancer. Yet this dude shows up, stabbity stab and I'm down. What the ever lovin' f...
Where are the nerf threads for that ahole?
Yeah, those shadow guys really burn my chowder.
I have officially invented "burn my chowder" as an expression. The fact that I am currently eating seafood chowder is just a coincidence.
I saw a shadow get stomped by a giant once. That was interesting. Of course, he got back up like nothing happened.
stabbity stab
Assassins are a-holes. It's in their nature. If I see one, better believe I won't relax unless I also see it die. It'd be a little more bearable if they just stabbed you once with a painful stun, before re-stealthing and moving on. Assassins aren't known for leaving people alive though, unfortunately. Not sure they stab their marks eighty times either, but what do I know?
Lost connection on Round 5 of a Threatening game, most of the mooks were already dead and the DC was pretty much done.
