guess I'll have to read a book then, this is awful. :P

Reading Heart of Darkness right now. Recommend it to everyone. Very unique and the story has been used in lots of films.

Yeah, those shadow guys really burn my chowder.

I have officially invented "burn my chowder" as an expression. The fact that I am currently eating seafood chowder is just a coincidence.

You have just showed that you are not a real chowder eater by saying 'chowder' instead of 'Chowdah'.

I agree, the Shadows are a pain in the ass regardless of difficulty.  They're basically the Phantoms of DA MP, kind of like how the Fear Demons are the Geth Hunters of DA MP (imo).  As a result, whenever I see a Shadow, I focus on taking them down ASAP.  Stalkers are merely an annoyance.

As for my most recent notable pug, I jumped onto Threatening as my Necromancer (my Templar's already at level 20) and ended up in a lobby with a Hunter and a Necromancer, so I switched to my Reaver.  Ended up with demons and we made it to zone 4 before wiping, despite a Katari dropping in mid-match (who actually fit the Katari stereotype).

After that, I switched to my Elementalist and carried the group for a few more matches.  The first match was difficult because we ended up with demons and I had to clutch against the Demon Commander (thank you, Firestorm).  After that, we got a couple matches against the Red Templars and a couple more against the Venatori.  One of the pugs asked me what staff I was using and I told him before everyone dropped out of the lobby.  After that, I went back to pugging for matches as my Necromancer.  Finally got Walking Bomb for her.   ^_^

Decided to solo Routine on my Necro today. Kept it public instead of private so some randoms could join. Most were level 1s and 2s, some of whom were complaining they kept getting kicked from earlier routine lobbies.

Fair enough. I carried them through and once they hit about level 8 - 10, those with mics, without exception, said "thanks" and left. Imo if someone is purposely carrying you, its pretty obvious. My score was more than double everyone else's combined.

I probably had 20-30 players in 15-20 different games, and of those, maybe 5-10 were NEW, not just promoted, but NEW to the game.

It's completely pathetic higher levels won't a) leave Routine and 2) let level 1s play for f*#& sake but it felt good to help out :)

I just got out of a PuG where it was 3 reavers ( including myself, ) that were lvl 1 and one lvl 15 necro. You can imagine how that went for the other two reavers. :(

Right on, I don't really see a reason to kick newbies either. Everyone sucks at DAMP their first match( except me, no one can prove otherwise mwhahaha ). :)

Lets be honest, the troll factor from Phantoms was over 9000. The stalkers in DAMP are annoying but, they are hardly Phantom level. ;)

With MEMP you could see someone was an N7 <10 and keep an eye on them.

I wonder how welcoming DAMP is to a Prestige 0 ?

Maybe not very?

I ran 3 or 4 solo matches, resulting in early death in the first routine zone,

just to get the hang of the format before dropping into a public match.

Every time I read a post about ME I get jelly. Space themes aren't really my thing but you guys have convinced me to try the next one. Hope I'm still speaking to BW when it comes out.

ME3MP was and is epic. Once you see the Volus Vanguard falcon punch a Cerberus trooper in the nuts and make his head explode you know you have found something special.

Well, if you compare the Venatori, Red Templars, and Demons to the Geth, Cerberus, and Reapers (excluding Collectors atm), it makes sense that the Shadows would be on par with the Phantoms.

The Venatori are like the Reapers, imo.  The easiest faction to fight out of the 3 with the Zealots being equivalent to the Husks, and the Venatori Commander being equivalent to the Banshees.  Brutes obviously equivalent to the Brutes and the Spellbinders being equivalent to the Ravagers with the Archers being equivalent to the Marauders.  That leaves the Stalkers and Gladiators on their own since there's only 5 different units in the Reapers.  Granted, the reputation of Banshees among ME3 MP vets is on the intimidating side, but remove their ability to sync-kill and they're more of an annoyance than a threat.

The Red Templars are like Cerberus, beyond the 'fallen from grace' thing.  They're the middle faction and the Shadows are easily equivalent to the Phantoms due to their ability to take you down with 1 attack if you're caught without a Barrier.  Red Templar Commander = Atlases, Knights = Dragoons/Combat Engineers, Red Templars = Assault Troopers, Guardians = Guardians, Horrors = Centurions, and Archers = Nemeses.  Even without their ability to sync-kill, the Atlas is still a threat, as is the Phantom.  The Shadow has incredibly high DPS compared to the Stalkers and Fear Demons, even without flanking, so they're a threat no matter where they are, just like the Phantoms.

The Demons are like the Geth, being the hardest faction due to their ability to stun-lock you to death along with their generally high DPS.  The Demon Commander = Primes, Fear Demons = Hunters, Wraiths = Rocket Troopers, Shades = Troopers, Despair Demons = Bombers, Rage Demons = Pyros, and Terror Demons = Combat Drones/Turrets.  Despite the recent nerf to the Demon Commander, the faction as a whole remains the hardest overall.  The Demons work together more effectively than the Red Templars and Venatori, like the Geth, and take advantage of stun-locks.  2 of the abilities of both the Demon Commander and Terror Demons incapacitate you and generally are delivered in a quick 1-2 combo.  Fear Demons and Rage Demons possess abilities to stun or incapacitate you as well.

Then again, that's the way I see it.  The Shadows are the biggest non-boss threat on the battlefield, so I consider them to be equivalent to the Phantoms.

Yeah, that was fun.   ^_^

What I really liked was stun-locking Phantoms to death with my Adas or BatGuard or one-shotting them with my Warlord.  I hate Phantoms so much that I have multiple kits dedicated to taking them down as quickly as possible.

I'm more of a Tsoldier man myself. Constantly annoyed my friends by yelling "Victory at any cost".

I'm a Jiggly Quarian Bum-bums kind of guy, tbh.   ;)  My favorite was my shotgun QFI wielding a Crusader X.

Also liked playing as the Vorcha (even the VHE) and the 2nd-gen turians.  Made my Havoc into a pseudo-Vanguard.

That was what was great about ME3 MP.  You were free to build your characters however you wanted and play them any way you felt like.   ^_^  DA MP doesn't have that flexibility.

Whoops, sry!

Jiggly Quarian Bum-bums refers to the Quarians' side-step evade.  QFI = Quarian Female Infiltrator.  Weapons are ranked from level 1 to level 10 in Roman numerals.  VHE = Vorcha Hunter Engineer.  The Adas is one of the many assault rifles in ME3 MP.  BatGuard = Batarian Vanguard.  Warlord = Krogan Warlord Sentinel.  Havoc = Turian Havoc Soldier.  Tsoldier (more commonly, TSol) = Turian Soldier.  Turian Solder and Sentinel are 1st-gen Turians while the Turian Ghost Infilitrator, Turian Havoc Soldier, and Turian Saboteur Engineer are 2nd-gen Turians.  I suppose that the Cabal could be considered a 3rd-gen Turian.

I haven't used Facebook for years. Got back into it lately to host videos. Now I remember why I hate it. The absolute dumbest posts on this forum are enlightening when compared to the rampant retardations in the rest of society. Love you guys. Stay sharp!

Had a fun time with a threatening as my keeper. 2 templars, I think levels 7 and 11; obviously we had big time dps in this group. I can't count the times the 2 of them had empty health bars and I had to save them with a well timed barrier. Screw AWs, a keeper can carry entire teams.

I actually liked killing phantoms by myself with the N7 Slayer while the rest of my squad would focus on the atlases so I couldn't be targeted.

I just have to see one of them in stealth with my Reaver in DAMP and they're already as good as gone.

I miss my Slayer ;_;

Last night, on my poorly specced (thanks, me) and poorly geared (thanks, RNGesus) Assassin, a Threatening PUG was having... difficulty... with the Demon Commander. In a "WELP" moment, I decide that, before this all inevitably ends badly, I'm going to slaughter as many mook demons as I can.

I proceeded to kill them all. It was one of those epiphany moments where the class just kind of clicked and worked for me. Within a few minutes every mook was dead, along with my 3 teammates. However they'd whittled the DC down far enough that I stealthed up, Twin Fanged him, and won the game. Felt great, and fitting for an Assassin to be the sole survivor.
