Was having some great runs soloing everything perilous with my super over-powered arcane warrior, when my mother in law made a surprise visit and killed my vibe. One part of this is true....

I started playing perilous earlier this week so I decided to try and pug my way through the challenge. First I joined a lobby as a level 19 keeper, and at first it was AMAZING. We had a Necro with blizzard, and when I used Veilstrike with weakening on the frozen enemies they fell asleep! At least I think that it was me putting them to sleep, unless our Archer was using knockout bomb or something. Anyway, AoE sleep for the win.

The only hitch was that I couldn't see/hit any enemies in zone 4. At least I could throw barrier on my team, toss around a couple of static cages and veilstrikes willy-nilly and at least feel like I contributed.

Found two really good teams, stuck with them for a few until the last game disconnected. Also being a AW gets me kicks I noticed lol I entered 2 different lobbies and I was punted. My virtual feels xD

I ended my night last night with two crashes and one game where I couldn't see enemies on the 4th zone.  Plus I was really laggy on my last few games, hopefully that won't be the case today.

 

I had one of these, too.  We ran through an empty zone, eventually decided to open a chest and were slaughtered by an invisible revenant.  Fun

I saw a Reaver in perilous lobby. Switched to Keeper. Everyone else switched to Reaver.

 

It was glorious.

Played a courtesy game in Routine after promoting my Archer from Perilous. Level 1->4 AW with high end staff and his level 19 Keeper friend kicked me after changing difficulty to Threatening...so I had to find another Threatening lobby. People are weird.

Someone tried to kick me, I was a level 1 keeper joining a routine match. It was the level 15 Elementalist who refused to do anything until I got kicked.    No one paid him any attention, but he was host and then we lost connection to host.

Nothing special about my last few pug matches, but let me just say, Shield Wall-bagging a crawling Red Templar Commander after he's beaten you to the brink of death? Very satisfying.

Just spent an entire perilous pug explaining to some guy that I was not required to cast barrier on him.

 

The class is Keeper. As in keep herself away from bleeding out. I am not your babysitter. If you want barriers, stand near me, or better yet, let me cast them on the entire party when we aggro a mob instead of running at them like idiots when I'm half a screen away. 

 

If you're going to treat this game like it's feast or famine, constantly running ahead of the group, don't cry to me when you're cold on the ground. 

 

On the bright side we extracted thank god.

Threatening pugs with my necromancer to level up. The others were a keeper, Katari and AW. Keeper doesn't seem to have barrier, and the poor Katari goes down several times. Anyway, we make it to zone 5, kill good ol' RTC, and with 1 mook remaining, the keeper throws up a barrier. Touch, guy.

You should try faceplanting more, like me. It has the added advantage of completely dropping all threat.

I'm happy to cast Barrier on people, but as you say, they should place themselves somewhere to be Barriered.

 

Had a Threatening Reaver complain over the mike that "why aren't the mages casting Barrier on me?!".  Note plural of Mage(s).

There was only me, an Elementalist, and two assassins...  He was running about the absolute middle of the Zone 5 area (Orleasian, by the water-fountain), and with the two stealth characters, probably pulling most aggro from archers.  

 

I was attempting to cast Barrier on him, however it's not my main job, and he sure wasn't making it easy.  I think i only had to revive him twice.  He seemed nice enough, and a decent player, but complaints like that make me laugh.

I got kicked for the first time ever today, and I didn't even make it to the lobby screen when it happened. I guess 5 seconds is too long a wait for some people.

Yeah I'll do my best to keep people barrier'ed, but if they are way far away from me and my current barrier is almost out, I'm just going to barrier myself and whoever else I can get to.  Not going to risk getting downed to chase down someone who's like nine miles away from me.

Had a great few games on routine/threatening with two arcane warriors, a reaver and myself being an alchemist.

However, the lag was absolutely atrocious in the last two games, where basically you couldn't move

Hard to enjoy the MP, when lag is getting worse....

I had a surprising good streak of PUGs this afternoon.

 

I start up a threathening game with my level 7 templar (just to get things startet) and no less than three archers join up on me and proceed to rain death on everything that moves.

 

Quite the show. Once we extracted they all stayed and we formed a balanced group that did a good number of extractions.
