I got kicked from a routine game by newbies, before the game started. I've brought shame on my house.
A week and a half, and she's already calling people newbies.

I'd say it's a month now more or less. ![]()
I will say all my many many months I spent playing MEMP I rarely rarely got kicked from a lobby, these DAMP pugs tho are something else.

Screw dose guyz.
Quick Matched for Threatening, got plopped in my own lobby. Seriously don't believe there were no other lobbies available at the time, but whatever.
Once again running through with the Archer (gotta get those promos for Cunning) vs. Venatori. Easy peasy until Zone 5.
I am kiting the Venatori around the outside of the Tevinter Ruins Zone 5 map in a big circle, pausing now and then to cackle maniacally and Long Shot / Archer's Lance a line of them.
Then a Legionnaire joins. He uses Counterstrike to aggro the map and all of a sudden instead of a nice line of Venatori I have a mob of them in a group once I re-acquire aggro. Well, at least it made the game challenging.
What is it about me, the Archer, ending up solo'ing, and a Legionnaire joining later? It's like Groundhog Day, DAI version.
Hope in pugs restored, found a very good team stuck with em for 3 smooth games, even had an ele who barried the team constantly. Yaaaaay teamwork! ![]()
Joined an in progress Perilous PUG with my Archer on XboxOne and noticed there were only two others in, a mid level Keeper and an Arcane Warrior.
I move through the level and catch up with in the large Orlesian Ballroom. I hate that room because enemy archers can ping you so easily and usually I pull back to the previous hallway to line them up, but hey, an AW AND Keeper? Shouldn't be a problem right?
The other two are chatting away as I enter the room, the AW actually drops and the girl playing the Keeper is laughing because he apparently had been just bragging about how easily he solos perilous but here he is face planted. Still, no biggy, there's a keeper right there so I move up and start to clear with Long Shot but she doesn't pop a barrier, no, she goes down too.
Suddenly the entire room is ranged aggro on me and while Leaping Shot almost flipped me back to safety, a stray shot drops me too.
Keeper girl continues to laugh at the AW dude for dying in mid-brag until she randomly declares, "This guy wasn't very useful." Of course I'm assuming she's referring to her bragging pal, but no, he declares he'll have to exercise his RB option and they promptly kick ME.
I could only laugh though. It's hard to be annoyed when inept players don't want to keep you, it's not like I actually wanted to play with them.
Can't stand it when horrible players think someone is bad, talking to them is like arguing with a brick wall.
finally found a nice threatening PUG. I was running my lvl 19 Keeper and we had a Reaver/ Templar and Archer.. cake walked Templar left a keeper joined I played my Templar again smooth.. until a AW joined and we all died horribly on wave 2. I want to try the hardest level but may wait until my Keeper that I just promoted is lvl 20, I'm most comfortable with Keeper atm
AWs get support xp and damage xp for every kill. Also, if they kill something with spirit blade or fade cloak they get both an ability kill and a staff kill. So, odds are they finish on top of the scoreboard. I ignore scores and count kills when the urge strikes me to give a damn. Most matches, first place won't have the most kills.
Throw barriers on the AW if you want to mess with them.
I played my AW the other day with a keeper who had an Enhanced Barrier Ring. He hit me with barrier the whole time and let me tell you, I LOVED IT!! I had barrier for days, hell, I could even stop and revive fellow team mates!!! **GASP** I even stopped for treasure rooms! I felt like the endless barrier was like a Soma and a Xanax all wrapped up in one blue bar of barriered goodness.
Sorry for the noobsauce question but can I open ports on my router via my PC that will help my XB1 connectivity? If so could you send me a link please, I can't find these ports for the life of me. Thanks bud
You certainly can, although the ports to open vary by router manufacturer. Also you're actually going to have to set up ports twice (regardless of platform), once for the router and once for the game itself.
Here's the XBox One router list: http://portforward.c...rding/Xbox_One/
From there, you'll see that on the upper left of the page they have a very thorough selection of guides, ports lists for games and routers and even a couple of programs to help you out if you just get stuck (although some of them do cost Real MoneyTM).
They have the relevant info for XBox One, XBox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC, so no matter what you're running you should be covered.
The ports you want to open for the game (NOT the router (don't make the same mistake I did (three times))) are here: http://portforward.c...tronic_Arts.htm
Just make sure you're looking at the right version of Inquisition, each platform requires different ports.
Lastly, for anyone who looks at this post, the Portforward site or their router and just groans as despair slowly tightens around them like a wet and tangled blanket - don't worry about it. It's confusing at first, but you are perfectly capable of doing it. You are an awesome dude(tte). Trust me, if I can figure it out, so can you! Now good luck, and kick some ass!
had a great weekend for PUGs. had the odd AW/Assassin/Reaver face plant, but overall solid teams that stuck around for 3-4 sessions. some of us took the opportunity to level up some L1 characters and still did well. Good bunches.
Had some really fun ones today, and then... I had this one. (TLDR: Character selection looked good, ended up with a faceplanted legio and keeper)
The scene is the idyllic (but threatening) Orlesian Chateu, which has recently been entered by my level 16 Necromancer, another Necromancer of considerable experience (level 13, I believe) as well as a keeper and a legionnaire, both also experienced, but as it should turn out, not skilled. Also present are a considerable number of Venatori.
As we make our way through the house, our enemies explode into many bits through the combined might of two walking bomb-dispensing necromancers, and all seems well. Then suddenly in the middle of zone 3, we have to pick our keeper and legionnaire off the floor. Fair enough, that happens. What doesn't happen, normally, is for the keeper to actually take a bit of a powernap in the fade. Today, it did happen.
Anyway, make it to zone 5, and with the previous performance in mind, The Room seems like a good idea to me. Initially, it seems like a good idea to everyone, as the others bunch up in there and I run out to plant the flag and swiftly make my way back. At this point, the Venatori agree that The Room is a fine meeting place and join us in full force. Except for the few that our brave dwarf run out to embrace with his face. Fortunately for him, he's short, so his trip to the dirt is not a long one, though permanent after a few attempts at recovering him.
Keeper keeps on keepin' for a while and does some good barrier work while sadly being a little too stationary, eventually permantly so.
Eventually, the two Necromancers blow up the filthy venatori and discussions of awarding tickets to the theatre can commence, but this group should not have had a hard time.
Had a brilliant pug player today by the name of sonofnothing.
I was playing with 2 other friends (notably 21scrub09) on perilious and had completed several runs. We decided to pay our dear friend threatening a visit using 3 lvls1. To make it interesting, we decided to open the game up to a pug. In came the legend himself, sonofnothing as a level12 alch. Before this man of myth, 2 other pugs popped in and fled seeing our 3 level 1s. Not sonofnothing though. Dude went straight into his lvl19 legionnaire in an attempt to carry our poor level 1s on threat.
Needless to say we destroyed threatening, venatori commander was cut through quicker than a chicken at KFC. Granted, sonofnothing came bottom of the board but today was the day when he became sonofsomething. The son of a legendary story, the defender of low levels, the hero of damp, the champion of our hearts and a true representation of all thats good in this world. I salute you sonofnothing. He ended up staying for one more game(again at the bottom but who cares) before fading into legend and riding off into the sunset.
I wish you BSN'ers luck on meeting this prime specimen of a pug.

All bow for sonofnothing.
A true model for DAMP pugs.

By the way, this was on PC. Unfortunately, you console players will never meet the man himself. A great example to all of humanity.

Wait isn't the Barrier ring bugged? I've timed my Barrier with and without the ring and it appears to be the same.

But are you even Protector of Orlais?
But are you even Protector of Orlais?
Only recently, I've been an elvern explorer for the past few weeks. Twas an interesting pug experience to wear that set of banner, portrait and title.
Decided to level up my Elementalist on Routine and ran into a noob playing a level 10 Alchemist. Said noob spent the whole match bragging about much damage he could do and his build, despite getting downed twice while I only went down once (zone 5 vs. Red Templars). The host was an experienced player and was explaining stuff to the noob (he was playing as a Keeper and actually cast Barrier), but after the match, everyone left for some reason.
Jumped into another Routine match and who do I bump into? The very same noob from the previous match. Yet again, he's bragging, despite getting downed yet again. Went though the match without issues (he started panicking near the end because he was low on health) and started another, only for the noob to drop out mid-match. It was pretty funny while it lasted and I was tempted to turn on my mic to tell him to try out Threatening (none of his equipment looked high-tier, most likely low-mid tier), but he dropped out before I could and I haven't bumped into him since then.
After that, I dropped into another Routine match with one guy who had a mic who seemed to be talking to someone else (I assumed that he was talking to the other pug in the lobby and said pug had me muted). Nothing real notable about the following matches other than the fact that the pug treated them like we were on Threatening. Left the lobby after getting to level 9.
Anyone else run into pugs like the one I mentioned?

I actually had a couple of games with sonofnothing right after reading about him on here (just now). He was Assassin then Elementalist. Preferred the Assassin but definitely competent either way. Always nice to play with someone like that, particularly when it's your last few games of the day.
Anyone else run into pugs like the one I mentioned?
Thankfully not. I don't understand the need to brag in any mode.
Anyone else run into pugs like the one I mentioned?
Haven't run into any obnoxious braggers like that thankfully.
Decided to run my Keeper more of a supportish type this promotion and so far am regretting it. Had a Perilous Pug that fought valiantly to Zone 5, with a Katari, another Keeper with Disruption Field and myself with Static Cage. There was an assassin there, but he was wearing the initial armor it looked like and he had gone into the Fade by like Zone 3. The remaining 3 of us climbed tooth and claw through the zones using everything at our disposal. Ran into a Bear in Zone 3 that stayed at like 5% health for forever it seemed.
Got to Zone 5 and despite our best efforts the Demon Commander downs us all. It was a good try at least ![]()
Just spent a few rooms not opening doors or pots and just fighting with a group. It was glorious, I had never realized how boring looting is. I would do it more, but I have a compulsive need for more gold, like a leprechaun or a dragon.
Also support xp is where it's at. Keeper at the top of the scoreboard erry time.
Also I updated Nexus Mod Manager and it uninstalled all my mods. Have you ever seen vanilla skyrim? IT'S SO UGLY.
you guys are just playing threat. ?
I just wonder... almost every post is about threat.. and how you brag about bad players and all that shitty stuff you hear and see in pug matches.... it makes you guys feel pro or something like that ?
"I met this guy "randomname" blablba he told me blalbalba.... i did end up with 1 death with my level 1-10 toon but he died 2 times.... at the end i rocked the threat-match balabalabalala"
are you guys serious ?
I guess i will visit the land of threatpugs again...
*ppl who are posting good moments and partys are the real mpv*
