So.... assassins. They hit pretty damn hard. I was doing 6600 damage deathblows last night. Ridiculous

I now expect you to carry me in all of my matches.
I'm going to be really demanding about it, too.
"Go fetch that pot for me."
"Well, I'm alive, but barely. You need to carry me harder."
And so forth...

I'll look out for you alright buddy, in the Fade.

lol just kidding, i'm still butthurt over my last perilous pug when I cried molten tears of rage quittiness over my well-done assassin. I finally put 7% magic resist on armor and equipped a enhanced belt of fire resistance (15%) so maybe I'll have better luck next time the demons start roasting me.

Every single game I played this evening has been a lag fest, every one. Worst day I've had since I started playing this.

Something might be up with their upgrade because i had it like that last night. Way worse lag in every game than i had experienced in a long time.

Yeah last night I couldn't even connect to a game, would either get the lost connection message or get stuck on "Joining Game" until I closed DA. Today all my characters stumble around drunk unless I host even though I'm West Coast US and generally have a decent number of people to play with.

Had a game where the doors didn't appear today. Insta-quit.
Also had a game with someone whose name I recognised (turned out to be high up on the leaderboards). We were both Archers, and I was just doing my super zone 5 play of long shot -> leaping shot +/- explosive shot without stopping. I guess they either had technical issues or got annoyed by me doing all the killing, because they just vanished from the game. :s

The amount of lost connections, infinite loading screens, not able to find a lobby at all and ctds was just abysmal today. And what I really love is when I lose connection in a solo game. That's just great. Better call Saul.
Not to give xp in the state the game is, is cynical at best.
Other than that, mouselook and not bumping into others is fun and best pugs are found in the middle of the night. Why is that?

Lol. I can't take this game for fun or seriousness outside of weekend events.
Some of the things I heard this morning...
"Stop stealing all the xp!"
"Stupid noob's skipping all the pots." (routine)
"HE'S HACKING! HIS BOW SHOOTS THREE AT ONCE!" (Was using Griffon)
"Not a team player. Kick him!" (After taking out an entire zone by myself on threatening)
"Why would you play a harder mode? The xp is all the same."
"I'm using a purple item noob. Its one of the best in the game." (Low level unique, bottom of scoreboard) (responded with "Just because its purple doesn't mean its the best) "I know. My friend got a gold weapon and it kills the boss in one hit." (told him there was no such thing as a gold weapon) "Like you would know noob. He's promoted over 500 times." (Lol'd hard, got kicked by him and his friend)
Pfft. And people wonder why I don't use my headset...
Oh, and let's throw in the connections that instantly dropped upon zone 1 introduction voiceover then not being able to find a match for a half hour - midwest USA. GG DAIMP.
You know a game is bad when CoD has better matchmaking...just saying.

Caliban makes legos pretty OP, in threatening at least. I was consistently beating an AW in scores last night (albeit by a couple hundred points). I want to start doing perilous on this guy but I assume I'll die too fast and look like a fool. Anyone care to weigh in on how a lego with payback, war cry, counterstrike and walking fortress would do in perilous?

I have way too many 1 handers. And they are all useless now thanks to Caliban. Not a fan of how I need 7500 kills between 1 handed axes hammers and swords, yet for assassins/alchemists it's daggers for 2500 and nothing else.

You should be able to tank with that build just fine on perilous. Make sure and take flow of battle to help with cooldowns. I sometimes substitute war cry with to the death as an easy way to continuously build guard.

Yep I have flow of battle and 2 crit chance rings (only blue though). I can get through most threatening matches without having my HP go down much at all but I always make myself think perilous is harder than it is.

I don't have Caliban but with moon axe, he does very well. You really have to mess up with the buttons a lot to actually die. He's generally ready at around level 14, maybe 15.

I always make myself think perilous is harder than it is.
I'm guilty of this as well, I'll get to around level 17 and be like "I could do Perilous now, buuuut I'll probably get stomped."
Then I'll join a pug and do fairly well (Win half, Lose half.)
As for more stories:
Last night I felt bad because I was hosting a Threatening run and there were two decent pugs in my group who I'd played with once or twice before. Unfortunately one of my friends texted me saying they needed an 8th person for an FF14 raid(This rarely ever happens.) so I had to bail out. I did wait until we got to the next zone to drop though.
Was playing this morning and joined a Threatening run with a Legionaire, Necromancer and Elementalist on my Keeper. The Elementalist and Necromancer were excitedly talking in voicechat about their abilities and junk(Mainly Blizzard and Firestorm). Game starts, Orlesian Chateau, Demons.
Throughout the run everyone plays their part well, although I did miss some barriers
. The elementalist and necromancer used their Firestorms and Blizzards well, the legionaire was constantly in the fray building guard and doing legionaire stuff and I was bringing the pain with Chain Lightning, Fade Step and Fade Cloak(And dropping Barriers too).
Successfully finish the run and the scoreboard pops up. The elementalist or the necromancer(couldn't yet tell them apart on voice chat) says "What the hell?! I thought I was contributing more?" I take a closer look at the scoreboard and realize I'm #1 with various silver and gold medals in staff kills, ability kills and kill streaks. I felt a little guilty because they were playing well too. Maybe I should Perilous more.
Speaking of Perilous.
There's another story that I keep forgetting to tell, happened like a week or two ago. Threatening run, Orlesian Chateau, I'm the host. Started off solo, decided this particular run I'd do what treasure rooms I could(I switch on and off between skipping them and doing them when I host.). Eventually 3 other people drop in, one of them is an archer with the Perilous portrait. We're getting through the zones fine when the archer pipes up in voice chat.
"Hadred, what are you doing?"
I freeze, I was running with my favorite build Barrier, Fade Step, Fade Cloak, Chain Lightning all upgraded with the Mana Surge and Guardian Spirit passives. It's light on the CC, but on Threatening I can solo with it. I figured this archer was gonna criticize my build and such and was getting ready to defend myself.
"Killing things?" I reply tentatively.
"Why don't you do Perilous man? I've seen you play, you'd do fine." He says.
I breathe a sigh of relief and inform him I have done Perilous (40 successful runs atm I think). Then we talked about random stuff in the game while we smoothly finished the run.
So there you go, I'm Perilous approved now apparently
.

So the other random player decides to try and revive them and I follow suit still in perplexed awe. And he proceeded to get downed and I was confused. I didn't have the urge to solo the whole wave by myself even If I was cillian. But it's situations like these that can stop momentum from a group. Granted winning isn't everything to me but there was absolutely no coordination or lack of common sense from the last zone at all. Perhaps they wanted to play catch up with kills/score but this is a co op game and if someone kills everything and carries everyone, we all get the allotted Xp afterwards.
Mind you I've seen a few of these random pug assassins think they are legos and want to face tank bosses. If your gonna do that might I suggest a different class.

Welp, shortest game I've ever had. Joined a Perilous game as Lego. Level 20 AW and 2 level 20 Archers already in-game. Connect just in time to see the AW bleed out, failure message appears even though I'm right there running around. CTD instead of reaching the score screen.
