So, just had a bunch of runs with a couple of guys I don't remember playing with before where we basically laid waste to everything threatening. Was planning on just playing enough to buy a couple of chests, stuck around for 10-ish games. Fun, very smooth group. Sent out some friend invites. Productive evening.

TxotoII and TangyDruid, if you're on the forums at all, thanks for a very entertaining run, and same to Starwing who joined us late.

Played a Threatening game with me and three Arcane Warriors. It was as dirty as it sounds.

The lowest of them was lvl 14, yet I outscored them all with my level 11 gimpy test-build Hunter (I usually don't try to go for extra damage on trashmobs that others have well under control or other tricks, cause I never even try to "win")

Yes they all seemed to be seriously trying. You know, all casting spells and doing their sword thingy and not having Barrier etc

How is that even possible I ask?

Seconded.

It's even worse with me - everyone has it, so that makes even eventually getting it something negative, too.

I wish someone could just rewire me.

If the AW were casting pull of the abyss and you had the griffon bow no wonder you out scored them.

I just got Long bow of the griffin as well, along with a shield of the emporor. It was pretty good morning session for me.

Last pug, got a salty message from a lvl keeper saying, "I can't believe you kicked me from the game and used me to zone 5, go f-k myself..." the sad thing was I never voted to kick him. (Rolls eyes)

Played a Barrier keeper, had another Keeper with a bit less barriers and two elementalists. None had mics so I really couldn't encourage them to switch classes. Tried to flip mine on lobby to give a subtle hint but no.

Ended up me rolling a Katari, but woulda wanted at least one rogue too.

Did a couple Threatening matches as my Archer with a fellow Archer and 2 Hunters.  Me and the Archer were using PBTM and the dual Hunters were running around with the LBotG.  Much Longshot.  Such Leaping Shot.  Very fun.

Dominated the Red Templars and Venatori.  RTC stands no chance against my MoD on Threatening, ditto for the VC and DC.  Love it.   :D

had a threatening yesterday with a friend and 2 pugs (Hunter and a keeper)... the keeper always ran ahead, didn't give barrier to any of us and aggroed everything (and always had little to almost no health left - apparently not every keeper knows how to use a barrier) ... we laughed when she/he finally rage/shame-quitted

You be surprised the number of keepers that don't even barrier anyone but themselves, it's like an AW that never holds spirit blades...

Add in friendly fire and they could stand in a circle getting barrier off each other and never die.

I tend to barrier centred on myself, because it's faster and more convenient than playing 'chase the party member'.

But I will try to stay close to either the action or the ranged group, so that I usually barrier one or two others at the same time.
