Do a search for Perilous Random with my Elementalist, level 18. I come into a lobby with an Archer and a Necro who are appropriate level, and a level 1 Legionnaire. All three are readied up. The Legionnaire doesn't have any particularly awesome banner or title set to denote he has an ungodly amount of promotions or anything, so I'm just sitting in my chair staring at the screen in disbelief for a few seconds. This guy is the leader. He toggles ready on/off presumably to get me to ready up. I vote to kick him because wtf. I didn't notice before that he had a mic, but he pipes up when I place the vote to say "Haha yeah, sure, buddy" and neither of the other two guys do anything. So, after a few seconds I just say f*** it and ready up. Guy dies in the first encounter with three spawns, and less than a second later, "Host migration in progress".

Double troll. I was an archer in a pug and a hunter trolled by not getting in the circle. We cleared the room and back to the lobby where i was immediately kicked. My stats for the run were pretty good and I was never downed despite being a pretty low level in comparrison

I learned that 4 mages is OP, 4 rogues is..... not so OP. 2 alchemists (me being 1, level 7) an archer and a hunter. If we killed everything fast it was ok but any drawn out fights sucked since no one was particularly good at taking hits. Templars of course, ended up finishing the RTC with just the alchemists alive. I personally had about 25hp left and was all out of pots.

 

Crashed in a wave 5 perilous with 3 elementalists and me as keeper. My poor experience.

 

I was trying to save up gold in case that DLC is announced. I only made it to 15k though. Sigh.

I wouldn't mind the Wave 5 changes if the game worked like it was supposed to.

Joined a Perilous PUG as an Archer. They had just finished Wave 4 and going to Wave 5. I have Easy to Miss to make PUGs a little easier, 0 kills in this match and haven't even fired my bow yet... And immediately on triggering Wave 5 two of those lyrium knights spawn and kill me. I go into the fade immediately.

Makes me want to scream.

Had a good round with CelticRanger yesterday.  He popped in playing Assassin, and destroyed all the things.  IIRC you managed 96kills that round bro.  Nice work.  My Katari was thinking "hey, save some kills for me, you little bastard."

 

Later, decided to play my lvl19 Reaver, with one more session to go to lvl20; team of 2 AW's and Templar.  Nice round vs RT's.  Dragon Raging all the things to a 107 kill round.  Next round I change up to lvl1 Archer, and being a good bunch they stick around.  Manage to pull off 1st with 91kills.  Have not managed that before.  The diff this time is using LBoG and rather than hanging back, getting into the thick of it, closing in and flanking (which I usually do with Hunter).  Just surprised me a bit, but this goes towards what I have said in other threads: playstyle (can make or break it); experiment.

Wait I thought you had to die three times before you go to the fade immediately after dying? Do the RT Knights have an insta-doom attack like the Banshees in ME3MP?

oh yah I have no idea. Has happened a couple times to me. Maybe a lag thing?

Just joined another Perilous PUG with at least one person I recognized. Then a level 1 Archer joined. On Perilous. So new to the game he didn't have a Rune on his bow. Regularly pulled groups by himself. Was doing EIGHT damage per shot. No one bothered to kick him until we had already failed.

That I would like to see. I should say 4 pug rogues, 3 of which not able to stealth was not fun. Also I took a lot of agro as a level 7 due to my fire potion skittles. Not enough promotions to be able to tank as a 7 rogue.

I, too, dream of that day... Alas, Drkilledbydeath is right; coordinating in PuGs is tricky. Had a PuG with my assassin, a hunter and an archer. Got to zone 3 easily, no-one dropped. A reaver joined. Got to zone 5 even more smoothly. Zone 5? Starts off ok, but no-on wants to find a tiny camping room of shame, I kill-murder a templar knight that's brutalising the reaver, and run behind cover to stealth... except an archer had spawned where he could see me and ganked me. Soon after, we were all chillaxing in the fade.

For comparison, a necromancer, an elementalist, an AW and a keeper walk into a pub... er... PuG. Roflstomp red templars.

Assassin does work in the new zone 5, but I find it much harder without having some guaranteed cover, so 4 assassins.... heh.

It doesn't help that there are so many damn enemies in wave 5 now. I had a 43 kill streak with a templar on wave 5 the other day. It was a solo but I've never strung together that many kills before.

I was a Reaver with a necro, assasin and hunter.... no one wanted to initiate aggro. Suffice to say we didn't finish our red templar perilous run.
