I was a Reaver with a necro, assasin and hunter.... no one wanted to initiate aggro. Suffice to say we didn't finish our red templar perilous run.

just outta curiousity- does anyone finish RTC perilous runs now?  and if you do, will you please give me some tips lol! i've only cleared one since the patch. demons are ok and venatori is pretty much sleepwalking but RTC?  omg so hard.

 

not sure if it's because i pug-a-lot, or OP-ed ranged units, or i just suck but..... ugh :(  so much fail

Why is that BioWare's fault?

It's a team game and your team sucked  ;)

Everyone in the circle means no leechers in doorways getting XP, the change is a logical one.

But this still leaves the leechers in the game, they did a workaround to get them out, perhaps its not ideal but they tried, maybe an auto kick after a minute of non activity would be better but not sure how much work is entailed in implementing something like that..

i dont care about leechers. i can finish the game on my own. i cant finish the game if he wont get in the circle though.

I disagree.

 

Warping is a ridiculous feature (when is warping a Rogue/Warrior ability?)

only there to force characters who can't keep up from the last zone to join you.

 

If they have made it as far as zone 5 they can run over to join you, or your party can kick them out if they have been leeching the whole match.

 

i dont care about leechers. i can finish the game on my own. i cant finish the game if he wont get in the circle though.

 

That's nice for you, but I can understand why BioWare would put the team's needs over your own.

Many games are ruined by leechers and trolls, these are good changes in my opinion.

 

There is nothing to stop the team kicking the person who won't join you.

What proportion of games (excluding solo's) are 2 person parties vs. 3 and 4?

just teleport them there. they already do it with the doors.

 

also, never encountered a leech in this game.

most people want to keep playing.

even demanding that you pick them up.

Also warping is already in the game, people warp to the start of zones if they're not in the healing pot room.

OK, so in 1 in 8 of the rare cases you have someone silly enough not to join you at the flag, you can't deal with it, 7/8 you can.

If they are taking minutes to walk there on purpose (never happened to me I'm pleased to say) then again, kick them.

 

Teleportation is not an immersive action, it's just there to handle someone who has momentarily gone AFK.

 

If they have made it to Zone 5 they should certainly be expected to walk over.

From a design perspective it's so much more elegant than warping and causes no issue except for 1/8 of cases where you have a leecher or a troll, which as you've said is rare.

Granted, Fallback Plan has a explanatory tether.

Warping already existing is a practical solution but looks foolish in the end zone in my opinion.

 

Sure there are always design compromises.

The game as originally designed required you to go and pick up the dropped key.

i doubt people even like walking the whole thing. it just seems like unnecessary work. 

 

inbetween zones some people just stop moving and wait until someones opens up the next zone. then they warp and continue playing.

Ha. That's a good point, for some people  :)

Maybe they would prefer to stand in front of a cave and farm enemies coming out of it for gold and XP and not bother with the whole dungeon crawl at all  :D

(I know games like that, but it's not my interest  ;) )

 

If there was a teleport I guess I wouldn't be that upset, it would look odd for me.

 

But a dungeon crawl is just that, the point of the game is not to have to be teleported around if you don't want to,

I'm certainly not knocking your view which you are entitled to, for the small number of cases where it is an issue.

 

I hardly think the way it is, is a dumb design choice that BioWare should be beaten up for  :)

Funny thing is that often people will get their inactive period on 5/5 even when they've been active the whole battle before that.

 

I don't know if it's a Europe thing (bad english skills?) but there are times people won't vote for kick on inactive player even if I tell them how to on the mic.

On 2 player game you can't kick the other one.

 

On my opinion the inactivity or inability to enter the flag area is a problem. While teleporting everyone to flag would solve the issue I agree it seems a bit silly. 

Not sure if it would be less silly to make it so that one person can plant the flag like before but The Door would be closed like it happens now. Other players on the wrong side of The Door would hop a few steps forward to appear on the dangerous side of the door.

Me too. I stand near the door and allow my minions to warp me. It's not lazy or arrogant, I probably have more badges than them, they should be honoured to serve me.

Actually, it means that nobody gets experience, including the leecher. The change was a bad one. I'm not even sure what it was intended to fix, since it just makes the final zone take longer, at best. I didn't use the room most of the time, so I don't care about removing that as much as it bothers me to have to stand around waiting for 5 minutes to start a zone.

It doesn't help that there are so many damn enemies in wave 5 now. I had a 43 kill streak with a templar on wave 5 the other day. It was a solo but I've never strung together that many kills before.

 

Only 43?  I got 49.   B)
