With the exclusion of two person parties, granted,
if they won't come, kick them - problem solved.
Stands to reason.

Just a thought..planting fall back plan in the font room, then activating the banner - could a person teleport back there if they were quick enough? People can still spawn in that room if they join a game on 5/5.
That way, you could activate the font later and run back out to join the party, as its been confirmed you can just run through the closed door from that side.
Would be an interesting test...

Apart from the fact that not every PUG is aware of the kick feature. Getting on the mic doesn't always work either because people may be in parties, or may not understand your language. Problem not solved.
Not to mention the fact that you'll lose whatever XP the kicked player may have gained from the pool.

Yep, I recognise losing the gained XP from the pool is true, hadn't thought of that.
Lack of awareness of the kick feature is also correct in some cases I guess, though people must wonder what the skulls in the lobby are for...
I'm wondering how common this problem is though?
I've not had a single occurrence of this yet (not denying it happens).
I wonder how regularly it actually causes a full game failure?

Of course you didn't think of it. You also keep bringing up that "it hasn't happened to me yet" point. It's irrelevant.
The mere fact that it's a possibility makes it a dumb idea.

Thanks for the 'of course' line, I'm not a plank of wood... ![]()
In the last game I played I had my first zone 5 leecher (or AFK) so there we are, though all three of us kicked them quite promptly.
Personally I find the possibility preferable to an enforced teleportation,
but I realise there are different views on this.

Tried it.
Didn't get to the Elven Ruins banner zone in time let alone have a chance to activate it...
One of the closest banners maybe...

I have never successfully kicked someone who was leeching. That definitely doesn't solve the problem. Leeches are now much worse than before.
Pity the usual door teleportation doesn't pop people just outside rather than just inside the next door.
I admit I like the running over element but a regular game breaker is no good.
I'm not a plank of wood...
You're not ?

I'd love to hear the justification here. Heck, I'd pay real money for a valid one, seeing that they'd have the same end result, with one 100% troll proof.

I've had my share of woes with that. Got on the mic and everything too. Nothing.

Never liked teleportation in a dungeon crawl.
I realise it's just a mechanic but its un-immersive.
If BioWare finds a 100% solution that excludes teleportation I'd be most happy, but if it has to happen to deal with an issue, so be it...

Not a good enough reason considering the mechanic already exists in the game. We're not adding anything new and in this instance, it would have zero drawbacks.

Promoted my AW so i was running some routines to boost him up again. No one around so I just ready up on my own... only to remember I dont have fade shield at level 1... actually managed to get 3 rooms down before someone dropped in to help! ran another match with a full group, me and a couple other low levels and one lvl17 necro. I guess he was trying to get his gold medals by slumming it in routine?
anyway, we have a smooth run and back in the lobby, i go to place my skill points for the next match. cant have been more than 10 seconds, but when i go back to ready up the group is now all lvl17-20, and someone's trying to kick me.
yeahhh... guys? if you're going to go routine with your 20s, maybe have a little patience for the people who legitimately need to be there?

idk how many times I've tried pugging Routine to level up my characters and drop into lobbies full of level 16-20 characters. I always immediately drop out of them because seriously, who'd want to play with groups like that? Aside from leachers, I mean.
Soooo, **** got a bit weird...
Join a routine lobby with my keeper just to knock the rust off as I haven't played one in ages. Two people in the group I'd been playing threatening with earlier, ok players if a bit slow in the lobby. A level 1 reaver joins shortly after me. Soon after, everyone but the reaver has one skull on them, none of them placed by me. Reaver leaves, someone else joins, and they kick me.
On Threatening with my Lego.
We're bowling along and we pass a bricked door, so I'm thinking let's pop the door and they'll follow.
No.
So there's an Arcane Horror, and the thing about Legos is they aren't fast running back and forth after a teleporting A.H.
Arcane Horror did the killing
.
Then the party did the kicking
.

The Lego's ability to generate long stretches of invincibility gives it a fantastic amount of troll potential. Sure, keep spamming "Come Over Here" at every single treasure door, and when you inexplicably get downed (as a Level 18 Hunter! on Threatening!) in the first minute of each stage. Then make sure you spam "Come Over Here" for a rez while the rest of the team is still fighting over your worthless corpse. And then mark everyone for kicking and wait forever to Ready Up when it's time to try again.
Oops. Here comes a flood of aggroed enemies toward you! My bad.
Got an AW staying behind spamming Come Here on every door while the rest of the team fought onward. The whole fricken run!
