I played a bit yesterday, had some good games, some bad games, promoted my AW for the first time. ...

Suddenly I was kicked out of the game, and I still don't understand why. ...

I admit I prefer the ranged AW build: Chain Lightning / Stonefist / Pull of the Abyss / Fade Step, as it controls the battlefield well.

Folk kick for the strangest reasons, didn't sound to me like you were doing anything wrong...

Had a bit of time this am before heading to work, tried a perilous game as an AW, disastrous wipe on wave 3.  Demons had another AW, a assassin and an archer.

Then played as a Templar on threatening and easily stomped Samson and his merry band.

Because BioWare does not release any 'balance changes' I have become highly paranoid about perceived changes in enemy behavior.

In the 1st game vs demons I swear the lesser demons range attacks were WAY more damaging than before.  They seemed to be more in line with archers now.  In past games on perilous I felt the demons had now become the easiest faction because range enemies were not close to archers but I'm not so sure now.

Yeah, I always felt I got tunnel vision if I used the AW with spirit blade (which might be why I haven't promoted him until now...)

Who knows? This is just my side of the story, maybe I was doing something truly horrendous without noticing. Or maybe they were playing a party and had another friend who wanted to join... I like to imagine that's it.

My first game today...waited for more then 5 minutes for last player to kindly come back to keyboard and join us in the circle, third player apparently didn´t know how to kick someone. Successfully lured Demon Commander away to corner, then he just smashed through every Shield wall I put up for some reason, then I shamefully died, the rest of group was bunkered down on the other side of map(not that anyone tried to get to me). I snapped and rage quit. Now I am watching some kittens videos.

Weird, I just caught up on the patch notes, and don't see anything?

You've got a blind spot (or six).

Buffed the Katari multiplayer kit slightly so that it has more HP and generates guard on hit.

Lobbies need more options beyond difficulty, map and privacy... something like turning on/off treasure rooms. I am tired of spamming F4 while adds are still coming at us and some idiot decides it is best to open the door only to die to the Revenant inside. That's how most PUGs end lately.

Had a few decent games last night, all threatening though.  Had one massive lag fest though and managed to stick it out.  Some of the lag Shenanigans were as follows:

Almost all the way through the level, rubber banded right back to the starting point.

Chasing a Templar knight guy and he walks right through a locked gate one that did not even have a door opener on it to go after a new person who had just spawned.

Kill the last of the spawn, no enemies left at all.  Then over a period of about 10 seconds my Katari keeps getting damaged and dies right in front of the door to the next level.

Played a few games with my Keeper, not too bad. Had one wipe, a couple of completes and one that an industrious assassin managed to pull out of the hat.

Leveling up my ele in threatening, stuck with the same group of pugs for 3 games, very smooth, got a FR from it too. Will try some perilous later, gotta put on my try-hard pants.

Finally found some perilous game although it was in progress. I happily joined with a templar and saw the usual host AW running away and spirit blading all the things. The lag was quite bad however, and for some reason, whenever I cast Unbowed, it took away all my stamina. Also, there was no HoK at all (I had purple 10% ring equipped) and mighty combo did not kill, stun, or otherwise damage anything. In zone 5, AW host died and quit. Host migrated, I spawned inside a wall at the entrance to zone 5 and could not move at all. Right after that somebody else joined and the game predictably crashed/shut itself down. Sorry, not a very positive experience.

I looked up the host and he is in the leaderboards and quite high up there. But I don't think he is posting here on BSN.

I've been noticing something with the AW's Spirit Blade.  I was soloing Threatening as my AW last weekend for the Weekend Challenge and somehow managed to kill the Inquisition guy I needed to escort with one of those shockwaves that are usually sent when deflecting projectiles.  Recently, I did a few Perilous matches and decided to switch to my Assassin.  I tried throwing a Hidden Blade at a Red Templar Knight multiple times while an AW was Spirit-Blading it to death, only for it to never hit.  Not to mention that I had full health and nothing was attacking me, yet I still was taking damage.  I noticed a shockwave come from the AW, but not going towards an archer or anything and the lag was negligible.  Had the same issue in the same match in zone 5 too, so I doubt it was a one time thing.

I also remember a Threatening match I did a while ago as my Alchemist.  I threw on Flask of Fire and spammed Elemental Mines while one of the other people in the match face-tanked a Revenant (I think it was a Legionnaire, iirc).  There were no other enemies in the room and I noticed that as I was tossing Elemental Mines at the Revenant, shockwaves like those from the AW's Spirit Blade were hitting me and dealing a lot of damage to the point where I dropped.  Very, very weird.

Anyone else encounter anything similar?

I experienced this today. It was driving me crazy trying to figure out what was going on, then I remembered seeing this post a few days back.

I was in a match with 2 AW's and I was playing on my archer in a perilous match. I was using Longbow of the Griffon.

More than once I was really far back and shot a few times into the pack of enemies, and just died almost instantly. Of course the AW's were right up in the mix with them Spirit Blading away. I just shrugged it off the first two times and chalked it up, to getting hit by some invisible archer arrows. Decided I better play it a bit more safe and watch my aggro a bit. So I layed low for room 4 and just played cleanup/shoot and duck around the corner game.

We make it to room five and there is no archers around anywhere, I fire a shot at a couple of melee guys that are getting spirit bladed by the AW's , and bam instant death once again.

This was not a true PUG, as it was me and two girl friends with a PUG as a fourth, but this is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too good not to share (at my extreme expense, sadly).

We got together to DAMP tonight and we grabbed a PUG for the fourth. Just working on levels for now.

I COMPLETELY screwed up. I only took a passing glance at the mage-locked treasure room (while very drunk) and thought I saw a wall close up. That would have been a safe treasure room and when my friend asked about opening it by herself, I assured her it was safe.

She asked again when she got to the chest. I was busy fighting stuff further along, so I didn't look back or I would have realized she'd walked a LONG way into a LARGE room, which meant a chance at a chest guardian spawning. Instead, I was a shitty friend and just reassured her again while only halfway paying attention.

A Revenant spawns. Hilarity and MUCH crow-eating ensues.

I will never, ever live this down. :pinched:  Especially because I went and mentioned, "Oh, I'm working on a treasure room guide on BSN" and then this happens. Awwwwwwkwaaaaaaaard.

I love the surety in your voice when you say, "Yeah, that one's safe. It's a safe door." Like "Erm, duh."

Lies. All lies and betrayals. Love Fluffy's voice "YOU LIED!"

That pierced my heart so thoroughly. Her precious, innocent voice... so betrayed. So hurt. So accusatory.

I WAS SO FREAKING SURE. THE WHISKEY LIED TO ME. DAMN YOU, JACK DANIELS, I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS.

I apologize to anyone who played with me last night. I might have drank one glass too much of wine. Or several. I should've known by the time I popped Rock Band in to play Tokio Hotel's Monsoon repeatedly on drums. Which was way before DAMP.

One word? Regret.

We may have been in the same match. Well, in all fairness, one of them did cast barrier. Right before the font room. Every time.

I find the longer the game is out the less abilities I use on each character. I am getting by with my necro only using blizzard and walking bomb
