That happened to me yesterday. I always hope its a target to kill or something when you are on that wave but it was scrolls. It was activated by a keeper I think, and it was going down fast. The katari in my group decided to make a mad dash for it, I tried to follow. When I turn the corner I see him trying to pick the scrolls up with the entire wave on him. Was on my hunter so i ran up dropped poison and grabbed the scrolls with about a half second to spare, the bar was pretty much gone. I did have that realization half way through that it may not be a good idea to risk a wipe for 100 gold but it worked out.

I don't waste gold on chests anymore. Like anyone else who has most of the gear they need I am saving up and unloading it all if a new DLC ever shows up so that I can get the weapons right away.
I also saw a neat trick with necros yesterday, using fade cloak during the pre-death spirit mode to insta rez right as they die. Requires you to internally time some spell durations but it was cool. There was also a katari with 1500hp.

You mean more army dirk and army dirk 2.0s that will come with the dlc?

I play the heck out of daimp. Don't get me wrong. Maybe not as much as the top players. I enjoy Daimp. But the RNG system isn't the greatest which leaves a feeling of gold farming being a waste of time besides saving what you get for completing the operation.

Pretty sure if I spend 100k+ I'll get a couple useful things.

I'm at that point. I may pick up cash if a pot broke during combat but if I can I'll skip all the doors. Threatening matches are as easy as routine so a mad dash to grab scrolls makes things interesting.

But it will take you 3 hours, 2.75 of which will be spend confirming that you want to salvage stuff.

The thought has crossed my mind. I'd like to think when DLC comes out I will just spend it all but I'm sure I will get bored and stop halfway through. I can't even imagine the ungodly amounts some people may have.

I do that with nugs. If they made the nug run on perilous zone 5 while multi-faction event is going on, I'd still abandon my duties and chase the nug.

Maybe so, but the odds are that it will probably be "old" gear not brand, new shiny DLC gear.
I think you would need at least a million gold to be "guaranteed" new DLC gear... unless you are incredibly lucky.

I think I have earned roughly 580k, 80k of which is sitting there waiting to be spent. So for 500k the only items I don't have are Sulevin and the 200hp belt. I'm sure I'll be well over 100k by the time DLC comes out, so a couple new weapons for 100k+ doesn't seem unreasonable.

Speaking of warrior class, was in a perilous mid match with a Lego that got extremely pissed in zone 5 because someone had pulled the rtc and demon commander away from him. He than proceeded to stop playing and refused to do anything, yelled at us for pulling that bosses away from him. He didn't do anything until we were all downed by the three bosses. Even though we extracted, I realized jerks in damp aren't just found in a specific class but it's the player that gives it a bad name.
He was probably mad that he'd just promoted his AW. Legionnaire doesn't even have chain lightning or fade shield wtf is dis nub sh*t.

I had a fun game with my Katari, wave 5 threatening and my team wiped with both bosses still up. I was holding my own but got hit with an insanely large and long lag spike. Every time I would roll away I'd end up back where I started and have it freeze up for seconds at a time with all of wave 5 beating on me. This went on for a good minute. Somehow I didn't die and managed to finish the wave by myself. I respect the OP'ness of a Katari on threatening.

Katari may very well be the top class now in threatening snce guard is actually useful on that difficulty...

I joined a game on routine and there was a level 1 Legionnaire with Inquisition gear. Got to zone 4 and they tried attacking the Inquisition Captain a few times.

I presume the Captain survived, despite the Lego's incompetence... ![]()

I have discovered that Sunday morning/early afternoon GMT is the only time I can find lag free perilous games. I can't believe how much of a difference it makes, being able to run through doors without pinging into the walls repeatedly, not having to bunny hop into a flanking position, no zombie enemies, able to see who's targeting you, no lag spikes followed by sudden death... I still managed to suck, though
