Quick match. Lvl 1 Arcane Warrior in Routine (gotta increment that Wanderer challenge).

Joined a game in progress and readied up. Returned to lobby at lvl 4 without even seeing any gameplay. Thanks, guys.

That's even better than when I entered a match as level 5 was completed (flag circle)!   Insta win!

Couple of nice matches with SofaJockey and 2 others, 1 of whom insisted on narrating the entire battle and who was quite amazed about how there could be 'magic stuff' happening (PoTA from Sullivan and war horn), while we had no magician in the party..  I almost caved in and switch on my mic, luckily Sofa saved us all by answering him..thanks mate, haha!

It was funny :) .

He died a fair bit as a Reaver and then seemed a little less talkative...

I don't normally have my mic'd cans on, as my light earphones are more comfy on my sofa, but if they want to chat, fine...

Tried to run a few weekend matches. The first four were Come Here treasure room spammers.
Twice I was sitting on healing font of a cleared zone while others ran back to the door. Once someone even ran to me and back to the door tapping come here.
Needless to say I quit all the matches and started running solo runs.
Even then I got some door spammers but being the leader I decided I had the right to be the obnoxious brat and teleport others to the next zone.
Finally I whipped up my mic explaining I was being an ass cause I wanted fast challenge runs and that I wasn't against them opening their doors while I did my thing.

Was pugging as my Legionnaire last night for the Weekend Challenge and I dropped into a match with a high-level Katari, a mid-level Hunter, and a mid-level Keeper.

They were already in the match, so I readied up and loaded in.  Turned out to be the Tevinter Ruin vs. Venatori on zone 3, both the Keeper and Hunter already in the Fade and the Katari soon to follow suit at the end of the zone.  Mopped up the last of the Vanatori (handful of archers) before opening the door and leading everyone back to the last treasure room they missed.  Of course, it ended up being a Revenant.

After that, I proceeded to draw most of the aggro through zone 4 (proceeded to get yet another Revenant) before we got to the last zone.  I downed a Fire Resistance Tonic and went out to draw 75% of the aggro while the rest of the group handled whatever didn't aggro on me.  Pretty sure that if I wasn't drawing the majority of the aggro, they would've wiped pretty quickly.  The Hunter ended up in the Fade by the end of the match.

Got back into the lobby screen and the Keeper decided to leave and I leveled up, so I grabbed the Flow of Battle passive.  We all readied up and loaded into the match, turned out to be Red Templars.  We got about halfway through the first zone before a Necromancer dropped in.  Minimal issues, though we did get a couple of Arcane Horrors and Revenants.

We got to the last zone and I started drawing aggro (well, as much as I could with all the enemies spread out as they were), The Necromancer dropped first, but I managed to pick them back up before realizing that the Katari and Hunter were down too.  There were simply too many enemies around for me to risk picking them up, so I used War Cry and tried to draw them away from the Necromancer as they went for the revive, which turned out to be suicidal for them despite my attempt to draw the Red Templars away.  Ended up having literally everything on top of me and thanks to the Flow of Battle passive, I was able to use Walking Fortress pretty much immediately after it wore off.  Since I had archers, Knights, and Horrors all taking potshots at me while the RTC and mooks were hacking away, I didn't have much issues keeping my Guard up, though there were a couple times I was caught with Walking Fortress on cooldown.  Had to use a health potion eventually, though I mostly just spammed War Cry, Payback Strike, and Walking Fortress with occasional uses of Shield Wall when necessary.

Once the RTC was down, all I had left to deal with were a bunch of mooks, archers, a few Horrors, and a Knight, which I easily took out.

TL;DR: #CLUTCHED

Perilag, low success rate, hidden blades used on many pots.

Weird stuff kept happening. I watched in rubberbandy horror as my assassin was targetted while in stealth by 2 archers. I'd gone into stealth out of LoS, and they'd previously been shooting at the alchemist, no perceptive enemies nearby. Lolwut dead.

In a later game, my Always Winning was using fade cloak on RTC, I had almost full barrier, and then suddenly I was dead, there wasn't even a visible lag spike. Always Losing. A nice katari charged by to res me, what a gent.

Hooboy.. I just had to pause my gaming just to type this. Just happened on Routine. Took my lv1 Archer on a PUG with lv12 Assassin and Necromancer.

Entered just in time for wave 5 and we cleared expertly as expected.

The next run started and I was already lv4. The Assassin must have envied my range skills and started running ahead in stealth, leaving only stragglers to me and the Necro.

On zone 3 the Necro insisted on opening a door. He stood there spamming Come Here while I was fending off demons not 5 meters from her. The Assassin came to my aid and then proceeded with the Necro into the room. I kept watch near the door and when more demons came at me I decided those two can handle the room and I can kill the whatever few were left on the zone.

After the key dropped they kicked me followed by a PS message "REMEMBER I NOT PLAY ALONE!!!11" to which I replied that I understand if they are afraid of the demons being only two of them and only lv12 and that dividing the team is dangerous and that I hoped for them to find a nice AW to carry them.

Folk are funny, I took my l16 Keeper into a 3 person Threatening lobby with a l12 Templar and L1AW.

The AW proceeded to die.

At one corner ahead of a spawn I have my barrier throbbing on the ground ready waiting for the AW and Templar to pass.

The AW stops, but I'm waiting for the Templar who is still running over.

The AW starts 'shooting me' with their staff, ok thanks for that.

From then on I'm playing Templar's bodyguard. AW can look after itself.

I hope the AW enjoyed the Keeper/Templar victory from the fade

This is when you immediately run beside the spammer and fight those demons right on top of her.

Oh, on one of my last DAMP pugs, the group had triggered the heirlooms health bar.

I ran over (because we were messing about in a treasure room) and noticed that Barrier

seems to protect the heirlooms as it would a party member or NPC.

I'm not 100% sure the health is not falling (because barrier is in the way) but I think it is.

Grabbed a short vid to see if it was.

Ah, wasn't aware others hadn't figured that out yet. :)

Yes, it would appear you can drop barrier on those recovery objectives. You can also do so on the Inquisition messenger you rescue and I KNOW that works because we had a guy almost drop (I'm talking centimeters of health bar left), but I focused on Barrier-ing him for the last mob of the map (dem archers had it in for the poor guy) and he made it through.

From what I've seen, the health bar still drops regardless.  Makes sense, tbh.  Wouldn't want people just spamming Barrier on the objects to keep them intact while everyone does other things.

Yes the health on the recovery objects does indeed still drop even with barrier. The health bar does stop decrementing while someone is interacting with the object though.

I saw this on a game I had recently and dropped a barrier on the heirlooms when its life was low. As mentioned above, its life still dropped and said I failed the event even though the barrier was still at half strength.

On the flip side of this, during another game when a templar had gone down and our life bars were healed as a result, the life bar for the items healed back up as well. I'm mostly certain it was scrolls/heirlooms cause I hadn't seen that before. Should be easy enough to retest if I'm in a group again.

Yeah, I've noticed this happen too.  It's most likely due to the Final Sacrifice passive (Keeper has access to it too).  Next time I'm doing a match with a Templar in the lobby and the scrolls/heirlooms/weapons are almost gone, I'll tell the Templar to let the enemies kill them.

Would be interesting to see if they listen or if I'll just get a kick vote.   :P

Ah well, seemed an interesting theory  :P ...

It's fun though running ahead and saving the heirlooms in the nick of time, don't you find?

That would make an interesting weekend challenge - enter the zone and the health bar starts dropping straight away  :o

(for extra gold of course ;)
