Ferelden Castle, Venatori, Threatening. Lego(me), Virtuoso, Keeper, Duelist

You know that glitch where all the enemies in a zone are invisible to you, but not your teammates? I just had a variation on that in Zone 5, except it was only the commander that I couldn't see. Luckily, I could still damage her, as 2 of my teammates wound up in the fade, and the Virtuoso wouldn't even auto-attack, only use the speed buff and barrier. I had to follow him and my dead teammates shield-markers around, swinging at empty air. Took a while, but I brought her down.

Good times.

Not really. :(

Second attempt to join a PUG, got me into a lobby with 2 others, readied up and was greeted with a black screen with a flashing inquisition logo.

ALT-F4 was the fix for that.

Ferelden (Storm) Virtuoso, Necromancer, hunter, Duelist.

A massive "GOD DAMN IT!" The Duelist joined in Zone 4 when enemies were glitched behind a WARRIOR DOOR! And this is why I freaking hate 0/2/2 or 3/1/0 or 4/0/0 parties; give me a 1/1/2 or GTFO! I made my displeasure known on the mic, but apparently they gave zero craps/ couldn't hear me, and none of us had AOE attacks.

Finally I managed to Grappling Chain (yes, I play a close range hunter, sue me) through the door somehow, and finished them myself, but damn! Does NO ONE give a crap for party composition!?

You mean Hook & Tackle?  I love using that on my Hunter!  Fallback Plan -> Hook & Tackle spam -> Leaping Shot -> Fallback Plan when duration is almost up/health is low.  I like to think of it as my pseudo-Vanguard.   :D

In other news, I did a Perilous match as my level 17 Virtuoso with a couple friends (1 playing as a level 4 Virtuoso and the other playing as a level 20 Keeper (she always plays as the Keeper)) and a friend of theirs (level 14 Templar).  Now, me and my one friend (the fellow Virtuoso) had duo'd Threatening vs. Demons (he was playing as his level 18 Legionnaire) and I made a comment about how all you'd need for Perilous was 2 Barrier-spamming Virtuosos and you were good to go (we extracted with no health damage and my friend had full Guard) and he wanted to test that.

Needless to say, we easily cleared Perilous vs. the Venatori with no downs and no health damage to anyone.  Literally eternal Barrier for everyone.  Those Vints didn't stand a chance.   B)

Thanks Zither,

I enjoyed watching you waddling up and down like a constipated goose

while you spammed your inadequate staff...

We were killing all the things,

what were you doing?

Not even playing us a tune (sigh)

Was in match where an AW ran up ahead of everyone and only had a slither of health left. He must of thought he was gonna die because he went AFK for about 2-3 minutes.

We caught up to him, and proceeded to clear most of the wave, while simultaneously keeping a barrier on his almost dead body.

He comes back from being AFK, and jumps ahead of everyone once again and dies almost immediately.

It was rather amusing.

Me (lvl 17 Reaver) joined a lobby with an Archer, a Necro and an Assassin. It was the Fereldan castle, and we did quite well to begin with. So well that I decided to risk a Dragon Call, even though we didn't have any Barrier class with us (a more common name for the Reaver/Necro/Assassin/Archer combo is "team glass cannon.") Then in zone 4 things started to get tricky. I was the only one who didn't go down, since I could get my health back with Devour and Rampage and those stupid archers jumped down straight into my awaiting greataxe. My non-health regenerating teammates, on the other hand... The Assassin had it worst and went down three times, the Necro and Archer went down once each.

We got through the zone and made for the dragon. After a while I noticed the Assassin and the Necro weren't attacking, they seemed to hang out in the entrance to the area. The assassin I could understand since they had struggled to stay alive, I guessed they didn't want to go into the Fade and make the dragon stronger, but the Necro? After the second dragonlings spawned and killed the Assassin I ran over to see what was going on. The Necro seemed to be stuck UNDER the stairs (at least that was were their icon was) which explained our lack of mage support...

The Archer and I managed to hold our own for quite a while, but they went down twice when the dragon did her wing flap attack of death and I went down once thanks to an ice ball straight in the face. We tried to resurrect each other, but the Archer eventually went to the fade and I followed not long after. The dragon was down to a fourth of her health. Oh well, at least I was the last woman standing. You watch yourself, frost wyrm!

Perilous.

Some jerk was salty about the rest of the group not caring about the stupid doors, and warped everyone ahead before the gong could be hit.

Wow.

Appropriately enough though, the game crashed to desktop so it gave me a quicker exit.

trying to clutch wave 3 threatening on Ferelden, health low, being swarmed and barrier can't keep up-- I decide to go to the underground passage so I can lure the bad guys down there and pick them off in more manageable number; instead of sliding smoothly down the ladder, I leap to my death.  Embarassing.

Inquisition recruits, I know you're excited to take the fight to the red templars, but for the love of Andraste, DON'T JUST RUN OUT INTO THE OPEN ON FERELDEN CASTLE.  Those enemy archers are not messing around.  Show some patience, let them come to us and then we can all dance on their bodies in a toxic cloud murder death well.

Ferelden Castle, Perilous

Group was a Virtuoso, a Reaver, an Arcane Warrior and an Archer (me).

The virtuoso was really good. Even though the party's damage output was somewhat low for a perilous run, his barriers kept everyone going and by round 3 he had earned enough of my faith to risk using a dragon call.

Round 4 went well, team used a choke-point to decimate endless hordes of demons, getting my hopes up even more. If we got through that, surely the dragon would be a piece of cake!

We finally reached the dragon. Everyone was hugging the virtuoso for those nice barriers, dragon's health was dropping fast... and then the dragonlings came. Apparently I had rolled in a puddle of dragon pheromones, because they all chased me, like I was a female dragon in heat. As squishy archer, I ran around, used all I had in my little box of tricks, but eventually I went down. The party handled the dragonlings and revived me. On the next spawns I was more careful with my position and used a few confusion bombs and jars of bees, but that just got the Reaver into the fade instead of me. We pressed on and when the dragon was at about 15% health and took flight I was so focused on getting a few last shots in that I didn't notice the Zither running away. The dragonlings came and no amount of running could shake them off. Without Zither's barrier, I was quickly downed again and our already low DPS got close to zero. The surviving party members couldn't stop casting long enough for a revive and when the dragon returned there were still many dragonlings alive. That made it easy for the dragon to kill the arcane warrior in a few swift swipes of its claws. A few seconds later, Zither entered the fade with the wise words "You guys are f***ing retards".

had some good games the last couple days on perilous, the dragons have been very kind to me giving me a total of 6 weapons so far! with few repeats, in fact the only repeat were the daggers which i don't mind! so far virtuoso's have been hit or miss on xbox one. they either don't know what they are doing at all or they are super good and they will keep the party with ample barriers and buffs all game, no in betweens.

*long story about how team Glass Cannons tried to hold out against a Frost Dragon with their mage trapped under a set of stairs, see above*

After my earlier mishaps with the Frost Dragon above I decided not to give up, so I picked the Reaver again and joined a new lobby in the Fereldan castle. This one had a Virtuoso and a Hunter, I joined them halfway through zone 3 and one of them rang the gong. Things were going swell, we made our way to the 5th zone and with the Virtuoso's barriers the Frost Dragon wasn't much of a threat. I allowed myself to feel a brief sense of vindictive joy - THIS TIME we'd bring her down! And then... DISCONNECTED.

Somebody, somewhere, has made it their personal mission to prevent me from defeating a Frost Dragon as a Reaver. I'm onto you....!

Ferelden castle, threatning, keeper(me), 2 archers, 1 lego.

Everything went fine up till zone 3. Decided that the team was competent enough to waste a dragons call on. Then we open the door to the rest area, use the healing font, try to open the door to zone 4 and... nothing. You don't have the key to unlock this door. What.

Bye bye dragon call :(

I counted the despair demons on perilous castle zone 3. There were seven.
