This is a quick question I have:

Does anyone know with certainty of preordering from amazing include the flames of inquisition gear? There is nothing in the official description and it's got me worried.

If it's the deluxe edition, it should have the gear.

The Deluxe Edition of the game includes the 3 Flames of the Inquisition promo items, regardless of pre-order or not.

Ok. Thanks guys - I just wish they updated it in the description..makes me super nervous. My friends preordered the game for me for my birthday (I didn't even know the preordered the deluxe), and all I really want is the gear. Mounts/ other stuff is fun, but gear helps you progress in the game while looking sexy as hell.

As a PC gamer I prefer digital copies myself too.

But sometimes it also comes down to price.......and the Origin price for DAI are (for the UK at least) expensive.

Amazon usually ships the quickest of all out of the options in the U.S.  Their customer service is amazing.  Not always, but for a lot of games I've ordered, I've gotten the games before release day by one or two days.  A lot of people love Amazon.

I also have another question.  I may have missed it somewhere, but there's a difference between Deluxe and Digital Deluxe?  I always like to get a hard copy too.

Internet providers are now introducing bandwidth limits with their customers.  Some people don't want to chew up a quarter or so of there allocated bandwidth for the month on one game. There is still a place for hard copies in this digital world.

You can actually pre-load on PS4/XB1 now as well. So, it's really a digital vs physical situation. Not console vs pc.

I personally prefer digital and will be pre-loading DAI on my PS4. But there are plenty of reasons people would prefer physical. Maybe they like the collection aspect of displaying their games? Data caps? Crappy internet speeds? Plan on trading it in or letting a friend borrow it?

Plus, Amazon is awesome.

What Amazon's done with their DA:I page is somewhat concerning. Apparently they've swapped out all mention of the Flames of the Inquisition gear with descriptions and images of the companions and male/female inquisitors. I know that all the bonuses were outlined in detail when I put in my pre-order a while back, so the page must have been changed within the past few weeks.

Per EA's site, all (US) pre-orders (standard and deluxe) get all of the Flames of the Inquisition content (arsenal, armor, and armored mount). However, the PlayStation Store, dragonage.com, Gamestop, BestBuy, and Walmart all say that the standard version pre-order gets you the weapons arsenal but make no mention of the armor or horse. (Origin's table of standard vs. deluxe also says the standard version only gets the arsenal.) The deluxe version is said to get all of the Flames content plus the bonuses still listed on Amazon (Red Hart, Bog Unicorn, Skyhold dragon skull throne, soundtrack, and additional digital bonus content still TBA). At least, every site except Amazon says that, so I think we can safely say that Amazon simply dropped the ball in removing important information about what you're going to get with your pre-order. As for the conflicting information about the standard version, I suspect the retail sites are under-promising with the potential to over-deliver (either that or they're unsure themselves). In other words, they want you to be really happy to find all the Flames gear instead of just the arsenal, whereas you'd likely be quite upset (and rightfully so!) if you were told to expect all the gear but only ended up with the weapons.

Since EA will be following the usual method and including inserts with redeemable codes in the packaged/hard copies, Amazon actually won't have a choice but to include the Flames gear (at least the arsenal) with standard pre-orders -- they'd have to notice that you ordered after release, then open the package and remove the insert with the code! This is also why there's a chance that if you order the standard version very shortly after the release date you might end up with the Flames code, despite the fact that it wouldn't actually be a pre-order. (At least that's what happened to me with Diablo III: I got the +XP% headgear, supposedly a pre-order exclusive, even though I ordered it the week after release.) For physical copies, there's simply no way to ensure that all pre-orders but only pre-orders get such an insert, so they err on the side of caution and make more than enough copies with pre-order codes to cover demand. Digital copies are entirely different in this respect, since it's possible to flip a digital switch, so to speak, so that you don't the exclusive content if you order after the release date.

tl;dr: all standard pre-orders should get at least the Flames arsenal, while all deluxe versions should get all the Flames gear (arsenal, armor, horse) plus the extras listed above.

IANAL, but if you're dead set on pre-ordering the standard version but really want all the Flames stuff, I think you might be able to argue your case to EA that their own website advertised it all. Of course, how they respond is up to them (they may very well say "our bad!" and dismiss you), and this likely won't fly with retailers, since they never promised the armor or mount in the first place. So I wouldn't count on it, but you won't know unless you try.

The catch is that on that website they put disclaimers up to protect them with "*Pre-order offerings may vary per country." for even Origin no longer offers the full Flames of Inquisition pack, it is just the Arsenal now when purchasing.

If it was only a quarter I might even do it then but DA: I would be like 90% of mine.

It would be nice to have 500GB but everything I can get, out in the country is Satellite and they range from 10GB to 30GB with $10 per GB after the limit if you don't want slower than dial-up speed after you max out.

Last time I ordered from Amazon, my copy of the game arrived on my doorstep on the morning of release day.  I've had so many probs with Origin copies of games, I doubt I'll buy anything from them for some time to come.
