I buy all my EA games on Origin i don't  understand why any one would buy off Amazon you have to wait for them to ship it  i can preload on Origin

Because at least here in Europe with € as currency, Origin is overpriced (around 10€).

I have pre-ordered the normal version of Inquisition and with my Amazon-discount it's almost 20 € cheaper than with Origin.

The Deluxe Edition is only available in the UK from Game, Amazon only sells the standard version which is the one i've pre-ordered. The Deluxe version for me isn't worth buying it from Game (from past experiences) and frankly to me isn't worth buying for the small amount of dlc over the standard version.

The catch is that on that website they put disclaimers up to protect them with "*Pre-order offerings may vary per country." for even Origin no longer offers the full Flames of Inquisition pack, it is just the Arsenal now when purchasing.

Fair point, and I think that would be their response if someone were to ask. I was assuming that at least one country had to have all of the gear advertised, but that was my mistake; that disclaimer should cover them.

In the meantime, Amazon has put all the Flames notifications back up on their DA:I product page. Like every other retailer, the Flames arsenal (and arsenal alone) is the pre-order bonus for the standard version, while the deluxe edition gets everything I outlined in my (long as heck! sorry about that) post on the previous page.

idk about uk, but deluxe is only 10$ more for USA.  And as a devout american, im proud to say that when people ask us if we want to supersize for an extra small fee, we say hell yeah!  omnomnom

There's a £10 ($15) difference between the hard copy version of the PC standard edition and the Origin price, with the physical edition being the cheaper. The only way for me to get the Deluxe edition is to get it from origin, which while only £10 more than the standard edition on Origin, is £20($30) more expensive than the hard copy.

If there was a way to upgrade from the hardcopy to the digital deluxe, like you can with ME 3 (https://www.origin.c...edition-upgrade), then I'd be interested, but the main reasons why I'm not getting the digital edition are pretty standard - my broadband speed sucks and I don't want to wait half a week (I wish this wasn't an exaggeration) to download it, and I quite like having a hard copy so I can reinstall without having to re-download if either my computer dies or I get a new one.

I also have another question.  I may have missed it somewhere, but there's a difference between Deluxe and Digital Deluxe?  I always like to get a hard copy too.

Deluxe comes in the box, digital Deluxe is downloaded. =] No difference.

For me...its more about my internet speeds. I have the craptastic Time Warner and my internet deems it necessary to shut itself off  and restart after every 100mb.. I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem and Time Warner doesn't seem to care too much. So digital is completely off the table for me...not that I would have gotten it digitally to begin with. I like having things...case cases...game guides...physical stuff and discs, and I will happily wait until 1pm for it to arrive, and a game case is a talking point...or it can be...which is always nice.

I have a 500 GB a month limit and i   don't come no were even remotely near that i might use  50 to 100gb a month so you point is hardly valid

No. Some people have 6 family members in their household who all download various things that, over time, chew up the bandwidth so much that we almost hit the limit every time. Seriously, 50 to 100 GB seems insanely small to me.

Last time I ordered from Amazon, my copy of the game arrived on my doorstep on the morning of release day. I've had so many probs with Origin copies of games, I doubt I'll buy anything from them for some time to come.

I agree. I have never had a problem with Amazon and get my game on release date or the day before. I have no problems with Amazon and their shipping. I would rather order anything through Amazon than ever go to a store and pick it up.

It took me at least 12 hours to download DA2 and get it installed. Steam never seems to have that problem, but EA means no Steam for us. Therefore, physical copy it is. (Also, I like having fancy things for my shelves.)

This is pretty much why I always buy physical books rather than digital (for games I a bit less picky, but I do prefer physical still).

I would get my physical edition before digital because it takes 2-3 days to download a game (and that is when it is the entire time). My internet is very very very slow  and also disconnects randomly, which is one reason why I like physical copies. Downloading a game is excruciating enough with slow internet and throw in a download error every now and then and it becomes a lesson in patience on not bashing in my computer.

With my download speeds it would take 2+ days to download a 8 GB game. Hard copy all the way. Unless it's 2 GB or less DLC, than I'll stay up 12 hours for it.

Not all of us are fortunate enough to have good speeds or large download quotas. Living in Australia and my experiences in both a major city (Perth) and small country town, I can tell you the speeds have never been particularly good. I used to hate downloading regular patches because it was both a slow process and it ate the previous quota. This is part of the reasons why, where I can purchase a physical copy. Although, with the NBN and 100GB quota, I'm more comfortable with downloading games, patches and dlc as I can get them much quicker and do not feel as if I'm wasting hours away, waiting for a download.

Shame that Australia missed out on the deluxe edition in a physical format for pc, but oh well. I'm happy with getting the standard version of the game.
