I highly recommend Divinity Original Sin if you enjoy Isometric party based RPG's that Dragon Age is a more modern take on. (Baldur's gate, wasteland, fallout, etc.)

If you want something else of the Companions ->  Interactions -> Choices -> Consequences genre that Dragon Age is in, I highly recommend Neverwinter Nights 2. You even get "a Skyhold".

Neverwinter Nights 1 better than Neverwinter Nights 2? Not an opinion I hear expressed often. Then again, I'm just talking about the OCs, not their use for custom campaigns, and I might be mistaken but I think many people preferred 1 for that.

Ha, that's what I was going to suggest as well! It's a nice and lengthy game that should take you a while to finish.

If you are looking for a Dragonagey type of game (mechanically), I recommend the Drakensang games.

Go oldschool then and bust out some Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6, and Tales of Phantasia

If we are talking graphic , then sure NWN2 . If we are talking story campaign and better DLC ? Nwn1 is better . I still remember the 1st and 2nd expansions added vividely . While for NWN2 all I recall..is how suffocating the game felt with its story .

Shadow of Mordor is a pretty wicked game. Not sure if it's entirely considered an RPG.
But I'm thoroughly impressed with it, compared to the past few LOTR games that have been released.

...but the main story of the original NWN was horrible. And if you count expansions, then NWN 2 has Mask of the Betrayer, which is easily one of the best expansions ever.

As I said.....a matter of taste . I liked NWN1 campaign (even though mah Aribeth go kapout  ) . IF I compare it to NWN2 campaign..it just muh . 

 

And Mask of the Betrayer...while was good , it left me pissed on so many things . So thats not good . 

 

I didn't like Hordes of the Underdark though , actually hated it like hell . I think the idea was good but badly made . 

 

And again , matter of taste .
