Um...
Anyway, I recommend this as well... the story and dialogue are kind of average, but the gameplay, customization, and pawn system more than makes up for that IMO.
I'm sorry I missed that post!

Well, you recognize the brilliance of Dragon's Dogma, so you're forgiven... ![]()
I preordered that edition and got a jaguar knight mounted on the RaptorIf you got in early you could have got the delux edition:
I highly recommend Divinity Original Sin if you enjoy Isometric party based RPG's that Dragon Age is a more modern take on. (Baldur's gate, wasteland, fallout, etc.)
It really depends on what you liked about old games. Wasteland 2 is nothing like BG2. It's just like IWD1-2, though. And those were very, very different games.
Assassins Creed series?
Finished the first a few days ago now going through the second
Mortal Kombat 3
SNES good times.
Those Kabal mix ups.
Rune Factory 4!
Planescape: Torment?
Yes, like Nefla said. Try to avoid using it close range though, like this:

That will hurt your hands.
Not an RPG, but definitely a great game. I call it Sim Uruk Society.Shadow of Mordor is a pretty wicked game. Not sure if it's entirely considered an RPG.
But I'm thoroughly impressed with it, compared to the past few LOTR games that have been released.
Jade Empire!!! ![]()
If you want something else of the Companions -> Interactions -> Choices -> Consequences genre that Dragon Age is in, I highly recommend Neverwinter Nights 2. You even get "a Skyhold".

If you have friends IRL or over skype you could play some pnp rpgs, and there are far more then just Pathfinder/dnd. Heck the Green Ronin Dragon age rpg uses its own system.
If you want light, action game with a good story and some RPG elements - action rpg - try
"Deus Ex: Invisible War"
Great game, and you can get it from gog.com for 8€. Or together with its prequel "Deus Ex " for 10€.
The prequel is somehow boring (never finished it) so you may pass it, but Invisible Wars is briliant
You can play stelathy James Bond, or be as subtle as Rambo - the choive is yours. You can ally with various organizations help them, ****** them off. There are vastly different endings depending on your choice.
Go give it a chance. That's only 8€. And it will give you many hours of playing. I think I finished it about 6-7 times.
Ultima V: Lazarus. Remake of the old Ultima 5.
Neverwinter Nights 1 better than Neverwinter Nights 2? Not an opinion I hear expressed often. Then again, I'm just talking about the OCs, not their use for custom campaigns, and I might be mistaken but I think many people preferred 1 for that.
The last expansion for Neverwinter Nights 1 was better than Neverwinter NIghts 2 and it had the best romance for female characters out of every other Bioware game. But the story for the base game was just meh, Neverwinter NIght 2's base story was better.
Gameplay wise, NWN2 was better balanced.
But for some reason, pcs get horribly low frame rates in NWN2.
Jade Empire!!!
Yuck.

That reason is called Obsidian sucking at optimizing their games. They're the only company that could create a world-beating story and make something that looks like it's from 2004 and taxes the hardware like it's from 2024.
Yuck.
You might have to be a wuxia fan to love JE, but even the genre-lover-letter stuff aside, I still think it has the best plotted story ever to come out of a Bioware game. It actually has coherent acts! No Bioware game, except for sort of BG2, has actually pulled together a coherent set of acts.
I'm doing solo nightmare reruns of DA2.
Yuck.
GTFO
Any RPG will do as long you can replicate this action...

The OC for NWN 1 sucked donkey b@!!Z....and when called on it I remember the devs saying that it was ment as just an example of what the tool set could do, like it was an after thought after the tool set was finish.
The OC for NWN 2 was loads better but still not up to BG 1-2 bioware standards IMHO

The OCs were bad to good depending on which NWN you're talking about, but I can forgive that for gems like HoTU and MoTB.
You shouldn't play any rpg. You should play Kerbal Space Program. The greatest PC game of all time
it is lookiing very tempting Xkcd recommend it..which tbh is geek gospel. Wasteland and Shadowrun are also a thing to look at

I vastly prefer NWN to NWN2. NWN2 was a fairly broken game. NWN played beautifully, and still has my favourite UI in the history of CRPGs.
I would recommend the OP play Wasteland 2.
