I think the overall story was good with the mage vs templar war however I disliked most of the companion characters besides aveline and varrik, they were either obnoxious or just plain annoying. I didn't like the "spammy" combat, or the enemies falling from nowhere, also environments were repeated and horrible to look at.

I know they fixed the environment stuff but I am not sure about the companion situation, I may dislike alot of the companions again who knows. And I know they fixed the "enemies appearing out of nowhere" thing. still not sure if combat is too spammy or not.

I agree with you on ememies falling down from sky, the whole thing seemed so cheap and unimaginative, especailly coming from Bioware. There were many things I hated about Dragon Age 2 as you mentioned, but I did like several party characters.

I'm already disapointed. That helps ease in whatever the release will reveal.

I lived through the Sword Of the Stars II release, the game would have to be pretty bad to top that. ^_^

Worst comes to the worst, I'll just play something else: The new Dreamfall game or the like. There's a few things coming up that look interesting.

If this game ends up sucking donkey d***, I will have lost all faith in games until No Man's Sky gets released.

Edit: I hope this game doesn't suck donkey d***.

Tough to say, but I remain hopeful. I remember how excited I was for DA2, and.... yeah. I'm keeping my expectations to a minimum, and just let the game speak for itself.

Hope for the best, but expect the worst. This way you can't be disappointed.

Kotor got me interested in Bioware games. I really liked what they did with Jade Empire and DAO and ME1 were masterpieces. I trusted Bioware enough to preorder their games. And then there was ME2 , a very misguided attempt to fix what was wrong in ME1 and cater to the flock of players who thought a game with guns in it HAS TO BE a shooter, followed by DA2, a very misguided attempt to fix what was wrong in DAO by a staff that was given the impossible task of doing it in 18 months, and ME3 who sums up everything that was wrong with these last two games.

My only fear is that should this new game be disapointing agam, the game community would have lost a great developer.

Right now I've heard enough to become interested ( I was so jaded by the last three games that I no interest in that games untill two weeks ago) but there still some worrying stuff like this auto attack thing (following the backlash of DA2 mashing button I'm baffled by their persistence). So I'm sticking to my guns, Since we can only vote with our wallets, I didn't buy any DLC for DA2 and ME3 and I'm not preordering this game.

My hope is that it will be good enough to buy and enjoy it as I like my video game RPG world with a bunch of studios expressing their various styles in good games. No matter how good their games are CDPR, Bethesda, Square Enix, Tri-Ace, etc. can't replace them and vice-versa.
