Let him live.

But after reading The Calling, it's better to kill him. However, since my Warden doesn't have meta knowledge and the Architect was too vague about how he was going to end the blgiht. I continue to let him live in my main play through.

I usually let him explain and role-play accordingly , but after reading The Calling I will take the hit to some approval scores and totally kill him

He's an interesting character so I let him live in my main play through. Whether it was a good or bad decision, I will have to live with the consequences.

I killed him because...

....I got the impression that killing him was the "evil" choice and letting him live the "good choice".

I let him live in my primary playthrough, even after reading The Calling which seriously made me doubt my choice, for the same reason I allowed Avernus to continue his research. The Wardens exist to defend the world from the Blights and if there is a real chance that a permanent end to them can happen then I feel its my duty to pursue it.

Having said that I totally killed him on like every other playthrough cause that guy is straight up the Lex Luthor of the Dragon Age universe, extremely smart and will resort to any means, evil though they may be, to accomplish his vague goals.

I let him live, because I always tend to feel horrible after killing any kind of character off, whether they were annoying or evil-minded.
My guilt wouldn't have let me killed him and feel okay about it, even after reading the book. I need to come to terms with this downfall.

When I first played Awakening I let him live. The second and third, fourth, and so on playthroughs I killed him as I'd read The Calling since my first playthrough and didn't think he deserved to live.

I let him live. It bothers me.

Now years later I'm doing my second playthrough and I still feel he should live.

I let him live before reading the Calling but even after I did I didn't regret my choice, I kind of agree with him.

Hey guys so in DA:A we have a choice to kill him or let him live and if we do let him live how do you think will it effect DA:I ?

I let him live then but now I am now sure any more about it...

What do you say guys is he good or bad ? should we kill him or let him live ?

I did playthroughs/characters for each choice. I like to see the differences with all the decisions. ^_^

I taught him how to make cakes.  The darkspawn are now busy holding a lot of long overdue birthday parties.  They won't be a problem for awhile.

The Architect is quite possibly the greatest threat to all life in Thedas. While he was certainly responsible for initiating the fifth blight, that pales in comparison with his 'plan' to stop all future blights. He definitely needs to die, no matter how good his intentions seem.

I read the calling, so I have to kill him. Which kinda sucks cuz he is freaking awesome. I hope he finds a way to survive either way.

I always let him live (and I've read The Calling).  His methods evolved quite a lot between The Calling and Awakening.  I agree with his goals (I don't care about wiping the Darkspawn out; I just don't want them to invade Thedas) and hope his methods continue to evolve.

I generally don't kill anyone that I have the option to let live.  There's a decent chance they'll be back, regardless, so I'd like for it to make sense.

Why would people change their opinion based on The Calling? It's obvious that he is an extreme case of tunnel vision. He wants to mass produce wardentrublood that cures hive mind. It's as reckless a plan as any. They are pretty much an engineered warrior race that no one knows how to beat and they will all gain free will and higher mental functions. What can possibly go wrong?

He doesn't even know what exactly happens when he gives the blood to darkspawn. He started a blight, the game already features a crazy broodmother that gains free will and the only thing she wants to do is to hear the song again. And she gives birth to abominations that the moment they hatch can devour a person whole. Who knows what else may happen down the road.

I haven't read the novel but I doubt it's much worse. I've read the summary from wiki and the only difference is that now he is more considerate for the other races and tries to understand. That's his whole selling point and the chance for a mutually beneficial compromise.

I decided to kill him, but it's meant to be a difficult choice with no right answer. Keeping him alive is a huge gamble. He intends to end the Blights, but Thedas has proven it can weather the Blights. Whether it can survive the Architect's plan to free all the darkspawn is uncertain. Freed darkspawn were shown to be incredibly dangerous, and there's no guarantee they'd be peaceful. A Blight is ended by kill the Archdemon responsible, but that won't work with the the darkspawn freed. So while permanently ending the Blights seems like a gamble worth taking, you could easily end up with a permanent Blight instead—with no possible way to end it.

I also like to consider my companions' opinions. Oghren, Nathaniel, and Velanna support siding with the Architect. Anders, Sigrun, and Justice support killing the Architect. The Grey Warden commanders also support killing the Architect.
