2) Ignatius Lavellan, Elf Male Rift Mage
3) Serach Adaar, Qunari Female Mage (specialization undecided)
4) Sylvia Lavellan, Elf Female Necromage Mage
5) Joana Trevelyan, Human Female Assassin Rogue
6) Gideon Trevelyan, Elf Male Tempest Rogue
7) Margaret "Maggie" Cadash, Dwarf Female Artificer Rogue
8) Maxwell Trevelyan, Human Male Templar Warrior
9) Saar Adaar, Qunari Male Champion Warrior
10) Troy Cadash, Dwarf Male Warrior (specialization undecided)
11) Taiah Lavellan, Elf Female Reaver Warrior
Of course everything is subject to change. Ill have to see if I prefer the Inquisitor's default names compared to ones I've come up with. Current plan: 3 humans, 4 elves, 2 dwarves, 2 qunari. 6 males, 5 females

One of my characters is going to be named Archibald Q. Rumpletrumpet Trevelyan.
I don't know when this will happen. All I know is that, sooner or later, it is destined to.

I came up with a bunch of potential names for my qunari Inquisitor a few months back using the list of Qunlat words on the wiki. I'll probably use one of them for my name.
Raashoth/Vasraa: Maraas(alone) + Vashoth(Grey one)
Ashala: Ash(to seek) + Asala(soul)
Imeksala/Karisala: Imekari(a child) + (of) + Issala(dust)
Katara/Kata Hissra: Kata(death) + (is an) + Hissra(illusion)
Saaraad: Saar(dangerous) + Meraad(tide) or you could drop an "a" on the end and make it "dangerous illusion"

Elgar'arla Lavellan is named after Dalish binding circles. She's a focused, almost monk-like rogue. In fact, she's so precise at trapmaking that the rest of her clan jokes she could snare a spirit - hence the nickname. Based on what I've seen of the intro, I have a theory that the Inquisitor is an abomination: a living elgar'arla.
Papa/Granny Cadash (haven't settled on gender yet) has that tacky air of conspicuous consumption that appears in the upper class of banana republics. Gold trim on everything, a ring on every finger, probably has rugs made out of dangerous animals... or maybe keeps one as a pet. Mercurial, eccentric, frivolous, dangerous. The name is a term of respect. It doesn't matter whether the respect comes from awe or fear.

Terrence
Sandor
Jacob

DA's continued world concept is a problem though; I usually start off with a self insert playthrough but I don't want a world state with all three protagonists having the same name.

Part of the reason why I'm always starting my first/canon playthrough with a human is, that it's so simple to name them... I usually come up with names for other characters while playing.
So I'm going to start with: Varian Trevelyan - Male/Human/Warrior

For my human Inquisitors I figured I should give them noble-sounding names so Mattius for male and Lenore for female (and keeping my tradition of naming human female mages with an 'L': Lalaine Amell -> Lily Hawke -> Lenore Trevelyan)
For my elven Inquisitors I decided upon Ronan for male and Neria for female, though this was before I discovered the MP Keeper character was named Neria and before I realized the default name for the female elven mage in Origins is also Neria. I guess Neria is a common elven name? Anyway I like it.
For my dwarven Inquisitors I came up with Osen, like in Flemeth's legend, and Ariadne for female, which I love and think it's dwarven-sounding ![]()
My qunari Inquisitors will be Juniit for male and Kaaris for female.

I will give what ever name pops in my head when I am creating my character. I will be playing alot of play throughs. All English names and female at that. tI will get my first character my first name but instead of my male name a female will replace it.

Nampeyo Lavellan for my female elf DW rogue. It means "snake that does not bite" in Tewa language, which really suits her personality. ![]()
