I came up with the name "Tal'Saar" for a qunari blood mage (which it looks like I'll need to repurpose as a necromancer name) and "Hissra" for a qunari assassin. I think my first will be a Human rogue named "Malverde," though.

Hm, let's see...

My canon-warden is named Aeryn Cousland (warrior), so that one's taken

Canon Hawke is Jhayna Hawke (Rogue), taken

Guess my mage-inquistor might end with a name like Rhyannon Trevelayne, or Rhynn

My elf rogue might end up with my favorite (selfmade) name I use for most of the pointy ears: Naevraenne or Naevraen

Qunari? I haven't made my mind up yet...probably to a "human" sounding name, but something that sound female and extotic. Guess I will take my time tossing letters around when making the Qunari :D , as I always do when trying to find "fantasy"-names...

Oh, and as I see it: adding "h" or "y" to an already existing "real" name often gives it a nice fantasy touch ...

harold because i like puns.

I definitely named one of my Hawkes "Serah" for exactly that reason.

There were a few times where it slipped my mind that I had done that, and subsequently had a "whoooooaaaah duuuuuuude" moment when an NPC called her by name.

Not locked down on names, but here are some of my ideas.

Female elf rogue: Elia Lavellan, Ath'enaan Lavellan, Mira Levallan, Crysantha Lavellan, Scafe Lavellan

Female human Mage: Rose Trevelyan, Noctra Trevelyan (specifically for a necro), Elia Trevelyan

Male Human: Tristayne Trevelyan

Male Qunari: Zulan Adaar

I mainly just want things to sound pretty for whatever I choose to use :)

Eeavan is my cute and flirty human rogue. Eavan means fair, which I took to mean beautiful.

Acantha is my stoic but kind-hearted qunari. Acantha means prickly or thorny.

Amara Trevelyan (Female human mage)

Meraad Adaar (Female qunari warrior)

Eldwin Lavellan (Female elf rogue)

For the Qunari one, I looked up the race's language on the wiki.  "Meraad" translates into "tide" or "the tide," and "Adaar" translates into literally "fire thrower."  So, my Q-Inquisitor's name roughly is "the tide of [the] fire thrower," or at least that's what I was going for.

Probably something lame and unimaginative like "Kaleb". Thank the Maker that last names are already taken care of.

First off, + 1000 approval for you, OP, for choosing a character from the Expanded Universe Star Wars books as your username.   :D

On topic: I've got 3 planned Inquisitors and only named my first 2 atm.

Female Dalish Assassin dual-wield rogue: Lin'Mi (elvish for 'blood blade)

Male Qunari Reaver 2-hander warrior: Tal-Shok (Qunlat for 'true struggle')

My third Inquisitor is going to be a female dwarf Tempest/Artificer (still deciding) archer rogue And I wanted to name her something in Dwarva, but I couldn't find anything that fit.  Ah, well, I'll figure something out eventually.   ^_^

I am still struggling with a name for my Dalish male for my first playthrough. I went through all the elven words trying to make something out of them but nothing seems to fit.  :(

My second playthrough will be a female human warrior called Miriam.  :P

My human female mage will be called Winter. She has the name because she's as beautiful as freshly fallen snow. Some say she's as deadly as the winter, leaving nothing alive that crosses her. In actuality though shes soft and cuddly underneath her cold demeanor :).

If you have trouble trying to find a lore friendly name for your elf you can always find a human/dwarf/qunari name and give a reason as to why they have that name. For example: your parents named you after a warrior who saved their lives from darkspawn. Obviously your left with head cannon but it makes role playing the character more engaging in my opinion.
