My question is the title, I'd really like to know whether to pre-order the standard edition or deluxe. Do note that 10 extra euros is a lot of money for my budget so it'd be nice to know if it'll be worth it.
Will the bonus digital content be announced before the game's release?

I hope they will, but there hasn't been a word about it. Perhaps in today's twitch session someone can ask about it.

Eww. But I suppose a good idea if they want to encourage MP fans to shell out more.

God, I hope not.
Time to stock up on the pitchforks and torches just in case, though.

I hope so. It's kind of a dirt move to withhold that information this close to release. Customers should be able to know what they'll be getting for their money.

Are you wanting to preorder from a website, or a store?
I ask because most stores don't demand the full price until the day it releases, so you could just preorder the deluxe version, and not really worry about changing your mind. You can't do that with preorders from sites like amazon or just a digital download... But that's one of the downsides of the convenience.

i hope they release the inform soon.
could be a 16/24-page preview of the artbook since they have already said they will no longer do Day-1 DLC.
besides it may encourage people to go and buy the real artbook.

Amazon will not charge until the day the game comes out.

But the other pre order bonuses are already day one DLC, so i don't really get your point.

I would have thought they would have these things listed by now. I find it hard to believe they would not have already decided what it is.
Instead it's probably related to not wanting to tell everybody about it yet. Which makes a strong case for it to be Chests for multiplayer ala Gold Battlepacks.

those are mainly items and i do not see why they cannot announced if they are indeed items.
when i mean DLCs, i mean those 'big-ones' like companion dlcs or black emporium.

I plan on getting a non deluxe edition anyway. I figure sooner or later there will be a Sunnie's DAI item pack mod. I will enjoy those items then, on my 16th playthrough ![]()

I'm guessing that it'll most likely be MP related
Either a free (whatever the top tier chest is) or early access to new map/character
If it was something SP related would probably have already been mentioned
(unless whatever the DLC is could possibly be considered spoiler related)

Deluxe Edition Multiplayer Chest.
The Origin web site should be updated sometime soon.
Ah, thanks for the heads up. Now, at least we can stop wondering...

Seeing how much people complained about Javik (and story-related content in general), I'm not really surprised. Disappointed, but not surprised.
Oh well. At least I'll get the digital soundtrack.

At the very least, my curiosity is sated.

Single players get lots of goodies, why is it lame that the MP gets a slice of the cake?
Personally, I don't mind, but I'd prefer story-related content. Also it's most probably going to be some extra armour/weapons/maybe an early character unlock, so not something that's going to have a lot of replay value. And seeing that the MP is behind a paywall on consoles... yeah, kinda problematic from a certain point of view.
I don't mind that much, since I'm going to be playing the MP anyway and I will probably very much enjoy the extra stuff. But people who prefer singleplayer / don't have Live subscription or PS+ and have ordered the Deluxe Edition? Might feel a bit different on the issue. Then again they - including me - forked the extra 10 € / £ / $ without knowing the specifics, so it's kinda our fault as well.
But again, I mainly bought the Deluxe Edition to get the soundtrack, so I have nothing to complain about, really. I get the game and the soundtrack - in my books, the rest is just extra.

Finally, now I know the Deluxe edition isn't worth it.
I only need or want the preorder weapons anyway, would have got the Deluxe if it was something substantial for SP.
