why wait so long to tell people this? Shouldn't it have been announced right after mp was? might as well, since flames of the inquisiton pack comes wih pre order of standard edition.
ikr so messy

I don´t mind minor content in DLCs, but not the major storyline kind of content, like happened at least 2 times back in ME3 and 1 time in DA2... and we could go so on...
But back to OP, if it´s some sort of RNG loot like back in ME3, then it´s not even bonus, because it was very random and loot was many times repeating itself.
nor do i as long as its released after the game is out.. but story/mission DLC released on day 1 is a big pet peeve of mine. its a slap in the face to customers IMO.
The only thing I dislike about this MP chest is that I have terrible luck and will probably get common items from it, but otherwise it's fine... I mean, it's only one bonus out of many. I suspected for a long time that it was related to MP, so maybe that's why this doesn't really bother me.
I ordered the deluxe edition and I don't plan on playing MP but I don't mind I've got enough stuff as a SP. If there were more things for MP rather than SP I would probably have just ordered the standard.

So what else do you get for the deluxe that's not multiplayer? The soundtrack and what else? I thought it was the special armor, but now I'm hearing that's available for standard as well.
Hmm...so what are the 3 digital items for the collectors edition of the game guide?
Also...to the people crying about it being multiplayer stuff...there are what...2 mounts a throne and a bunch of armor/weapons for the single player? Also...I'm not sure why someone would not want to play multiplayer...seeing as how DA:I looks to have done it fantastically.
I, for one, welcome our Deluxe Chest overlords

You get the dragon throne, the red hart, bog unicorn, and armored mount besides the armor and weapons.
I have pre-ordered deluxe edition of DA:I for PS4 a way back. I'm not going to cancel it (I'm too lazy for that - and I want the soundtrack - which hopefully will feature the DA:I main theme aka the music from "press a key to start") - but I'm very disappointed that the bonus digital content is MP stuff. I don't play multiplayer games.
kind of disappointed but oh well...

Oddly enough, there are more people interested in the single player aspects of what was a single player franchise.
Deluxe Edition Multiplayer Chest.
The Origin web site should be updated sometime soon.
That's massively underwhelming for all the suspense you guys put us through ![]()
To my mind the digital soundtrack alone more than justifies the extra $10, and then they've thrown in a bunch of mounts and Skyhold gear too.
If people really don't want them to do day one DLC, that needs to be a consistent viewpoint. Any extra SP story content for the Deluxe Edition would be interpreted by somebody, somewhere, as "stuff that was cut from the game".
This.
If you make the bonus too good, people complain that you are pay-gating content.
If you make the bonus too minor, people complain that it's not worth it.
Can't win really.
Any Deluxe/Special edition is arguably a fan service, and I think this package is pretty decent.
"I'm angry because the bonus will not be what I want"... Oh, I though we don't have children here...All the content announced previously was for single player, now they announce ONE content for MP and people start to cry... C'mon!I'm not that much of a MP player, but I will give DAI MP a chance. Playing with friends is fun.
MP's already getting free DLC post-launch. I can guaran-damn-tee you SP won't be seeing the same thing. Besides which, I wager that a significant number of people pre-ordered DAI before the MP mode officially existed. It's not unreasonable to be upset about it.

It wouldn't be the BSN without a lot of petty whining about everything.

It's not like the already announced content for SP is gone... Why would you pay more for something if you're not satisfied with the content that comes together? People pre-ordered the Deluxe because they liked what they saw about the content, you can't just count with anything you don't have any idea about... Can't see why anyone would think about the unannounced content as a lifechanger...
Nice armor, mounts and the throne + OST + MP chest. It's very fine for $10. And we still don't know if this content will be available to buy after release...
it cost around SGD20 (which is around 15USD). don't think is worth it.
I wonder if it's a random loot chest or if it's specific exclusive stuff that other players won't be able to get?
disposable income + love for all things Dragon Age = Sold!
I love me some extra content goodies. SP or MP, doesn't matter.
honestly id be disappointed if they would have gone that route.. they shouldnt be taking story content (regardless of how "minor") from the main game, and charging extra for it. i dont care if its "optional", or if another team made the content. if i spend $60 on the game.. i expect the ENTIRE story and missions, including the "optional" and "minor" content.
obviously there can be ADDITIONAL content developed AFTER the release and added as DLC/expansion content.. but thats ADDITIONAL content. completely different than removing already developed content from the main game (sorry, but no matter how you slice it, thats what they would be doing) and monetizing it.
This just isn't true. DLC and game are different teams, and since the game has been delayed multiple times day one dlc would not have been part of the game, but planned as dlc. I would rather have dlc closer to launch so I can continue to enjoy the game instead of waiting months afterward for it.
Also, the DA games have been 40+ hours long and filled with content, I really don't know how one can feel cheated because they would provide even more and {gasp} want monetary compensation for their time and effort.

This type of consumer response is likely why they waited so long to tell us. If they had told us earlier, than a lot of people would have not bothered with the delux edition. They probably left it unannounced, to bait the consumer who preorderd/bought on the off chance that the DLC was something major.I have pre-ordered deluxe edition of DA:I for PS4 a way back. Different teams don't mean ****..the mp components affect the SP, otherwise they would not function together. This just isn't true.
