So the devs said Zevran would get a special (not physical) cameo, if romanced in Origins.

 

My take on this is that in Awakening, you get a letter from romanced Zevran saying that he's going to go deal with the Crows and whatnot.

 

How about in Inquisition, you get a War Table mission where you have to deal with the Antivan Crows and their leader is Zevran, if you romanced him. I think that'd make sense and I'd just love sending Leliana to talk to him, for old time's sake haha.

 

What do you guys think? Do you have other thoughts on romanced Zevran's cameo?

Awww.I miss my Zevu! I romanced him with my male elf mage warden. (He reappeared in DA2 but was ugly). While I hoped for a physical cameo, this is cool too! Thanks for the news.

I prefer they not force in cameos so I'm ok with him not showing up.  Knowing this I'll be sure to always kill him in my import so it's not an issue.  To be honest I nearly always killed him anyway, it just made sense in the situation.

Z's inclusion is purely fan service. fact is he's an assassin and a turncoat. I'd wager in most peoples games this happened:

I doubt that Leliana's taken over the Crows. It seems far more likely that she's calling on her contacts in the Orlesian Bards to carry out those hits, since we know from Origins that bards are heavily involved in espionage and the occasional assassination, but are a completely seperate organisation from the Antivan Crows, who fully specialise in the latter.

 

Actually, the most likely outcome if Zevran is still alive, is that both of them have either risen to the top of their respective factions, or will be called upon to mediate a turf war between two, due to the Crows objecting to you sending Bardic assassins into places they consider "their" territory?

I thought it would be cool if the Inquisitor could learn the Assassin spec from Zevran but I guess that's not happening.

 

If he's alive, there'll probably be war table quests involving Zevran and The Crows (or that's just the name of a rock band in Thedas).

Better than nothing, I suppose. No matter what I do feel it unfair that he is the only DAO romance that won't appear in DAI (And Leliana and Morrigan have a big role too). He's my favorite

Voice Actors talk to themselves all the time. Just look at how many times Mark Meers talks to himself in Mass Effect.

And with an Antivan diplomat as our ambassador, how likely is it that the Crows won't become involved one way or the other?

Yeah, while I'd hate to assume that every Antivan noble has ties to the Crows, Zevran seemed to imply that they've got their hands in pretty much running the entire place and the nobility don't dare jump without asking first, else they'd land to find a shark tank underneath...

 

Would also be ironic to find out the diplomatic Lady Josephine was actually the daughter of a Guildmaster?

She uses the crow as her symbol, calls her agents crows and lives in the rookery. If she hasn't taken them over, the Antivan Crows have a serious case for copyright infringement.

Of course, she might be referring to the actual Crows in this case, since it's a mission that takes place in Antiva city. It'd be only polite to hire the assassins who actually live there to carry out the hit, after all?

 

Her symbol and the birds in the rookery might be ravens, as yet another reference to A Song of Ice and Fire and their use of messengers in that world?

Persona 3 and 4 would like to say hello considering the villain and the protagonist in both games have the same VA's.

They already have Jon Curry in the game, so I'm hoping there can be at least a voiced cameo, if not a physical one.

Honestly, i don't think the Zevran fans are getting screwed over. After Origins, my Wardens went away to new adventures with their LIs. I'm wouldn't be too happy to see Morrigan, Leliana or Alistair in DAI, alone, possibly getting put in danger, without the Warden by their side.

 

That's why I like the fact that we don't see Zev but that he is in the game. In my headcannon, my warden protected Zevran from the Crows and helped him take over and now, i'm gonna pretend the reason that my Warden disappeared is because Zevran is using his Crows to protect him from his enemies and hide him.
