WE assume this is as-good-a-place-as-any to make this request: please make all Bioware products available on Impulse (Stardock), and other download services, as they are available on Steam (Valve) for non-North Americans buyers.

Being Non-North Americans (in our case, Australians) we only have digital download access to your products via Steam, which is more than a minor annoyance. Personally I'm always reluctant to buy on Steam due to consistent issues with that service (accepting that I have bought many products on said service. Many, many products :P) and always check for alternative purchase methods (usually Impulse). Frequently I end up avoiding purchasing products due to this limitation, unfortunately Bioware games inclusive.

We're sure that contracts have been signed to gain Bioware the best deals with distributors, possibly involving exclusive digital download rights to specific regions, but we believe there's an untapped market for your games via other services. We are prepared to slip Bioware a fiver if it sweetens and hastens the deal.

Please let us know if there are any plans in accordance with our request, specifically if this can be done prior to the release of Mass Effect 2 so we might gain some sweet pre-purchase item goodness :)

Yours gameatically,
,

The Rest of the World, c/o Australian Gamers :D

Huh, I thought everyone lived on North America. This is quite a shocker.

Next thing you know, you'll be saying that Asia is the world's most populous continent. Excuse me while I go guffaw at a corner.

@Abriael_CG: Unfortunately trying to purchase Bioware games on Direct2Drive results in

"Error: Mass Effect 2 is Country restricted on your IP." :-(

@Inhuman one: In Australia physical store games are about ~$80-$120 AUD (~$70-$100 USD) which means buying a game is really a major purchase. The $50 AUD Steam price just makes physical purchases unjustifiable (unless you might perhaps spare $60? AUD :P)

@Godak: Perhaps a quick word to the map makers of the world (and the obligatory slip of a fiver) and we CAN all be North Americans *Taps his nose* A man can dream, can't he? A man can dream.

Direct2Drive works for me, living in sweden.

I'm sorry for you that you have to use steam. I would never buy a game via steam or that need steam to be installed.
