I will be desperately trying to stay away from the threads and.... staring at my DAI countdown, wishing I had the power to speed up time...

 

I live in Australia - DAI comes out on the 20th of November here...

Standing in line for the midnight release in a junkie's cold sweat waiting for my fix. Eye balling everyone else and preparing my tactics in my head on what I'll do if someone tries to take my copy of the game.

Lol, but seriously. I've already scheduled the next two days off so I'm going to grab it and get home as quick as possible and play until I collapse in a pile of my own filth.

Well... probably either at the midnight launch (provided that there is one) or at home asleep, resting for a big, big day.

 

Now throughout the rest of that day I'll be in classes paying no attention whatsoever (lol I wish, I have to give presentations that day and pass in multiple projects... that at least I don't have to worry about when I have DAI, but hey); thankfully I'll be pretty busy in the two weeks preceding DAI's release, so I won't be wigging out (as much) the way I did for other games.

Its a Monday, so I hope I'll be having a job and getting good sleep before going to work the next morning or at least afternoon.

 

I'm not doing the whole midnight launch thing . Might not even get the game in November. Depends on how my series playthrough goes*.

 

 

*So far, not so well. Still not done Origins. For the main story though, I only have Haven/Ashes and Landsmeet/Ending left, but I intend on clearing as many sidequests as possible. BRB gonna play for next few hours.

I'll be mildly irritated and impatient because I am an idiot and pre-ordered the game online instead of getting it sent to the store. So I have to wait an extra day *sigh*.

 

Oh and I'll also be trying very hard to avoid the internet and all of it's tempting spoilers.

Pulling all-nighters is for the young.    I'll be getting ready for bed at that time.   Will be up bright and early to start playing though.

I'll be waiting for midnight to hit so I can actually play DA:I first thing.  Seriously,  DA:I is the first game I've ever preordered and it's the first game I'll start playing the night it comes out.  Since I preordered it through PS Store, I should be able to play it as soon as it hits midnight.  Here's hoping.

The Candles of Eternal Passion shall be lit; the 3 goblin sacrifices will be prepared upon the altar of awesomeness. The Shrine of PC shall be devoid of any and all debris except for unhealthy but needed amounts of soda and snackie-snacks, the orgy of epic gamers will..... no need to go into those details..  Then I shall await the delivery of the Carta's service - FedEx or UPS!

 

Barring that.. I'll just have some panda express, cherry dr. pepper and watch Netflix!  But in utter SECRECY in case the ritual must still be saved!

Sleeping (or trying to) so I can stay up way to late the next night (which is a work night) playing.  If I wake up in the wee hours of the morning I doubt I'll have the willpower to stay in bed - the digital deluxe download may conspire to deprive me of sleep.  Will have to set an alarm so I don't forget to get the kids up for school in the morning if I am absorbed in the first hours of the game.

Although considering Australia is 15-19 hours AHEAD of the USA (depending on whether you live on the east or west side) we technically get it 2 days after the US, not 3.

 

I just finished Dragon Age: Origins (including all DLC and Awakening) so now I have a month to wait...might catch up on some other games I need to finish
