Stop in the name of Kreve, Freya and Melitele!
Can we just agree that both series are great and there is too damn few good storydriven games nowadays to nitpick about which one is the best. It is just a matter of tase really.

Admittedly, it's difficult to show an actual morally ambiguous situation in a short trailer. If the young woman were actually shown to be a dangerous witch/cannibal/etc. in the future that would have made it more effective for me.
So, pretty much what often happens in the actual game. There's one point in The Witcher 2 where you have the option to jump to the defense of an elven woman only for her to end up being part of the terrorist cell that tries to kill you if you let her go. Or Abigail in TW1, who you can potentially protect from getting lynched by angry peasants and burned as a witch responsible for all of their problems as of late, but given the curse she drops on you if you let her die, it's likely she actually did have some shady background.
Whack, Whack
WHo wants to get slacked?

The witcher is a sexist piece of drivel; that should burn in the fires of hell for its misogyny.
Trying too hard.
WHAT DOES A BLOODY WITCHER ACTUALLY EAT
Spuds.
Why spuds?

EH....MUSHROOMS?
Why spuds?
Because he's a human like us. He sweats, he bleeds, so he must eat spuds too.

Zazzy, half of the witchers popularity is because of the misogonistic sex scenes. Simple advertising rule, sex sells, and the story panders to the male power fantasy.
Misogynistic? I don't think the game has sex scenes because CDPR hates women, nor do they stand as a testament to the company despising females or such nonsense. They have quite a few working for them.
If you're going to make stupid statements, use the right words at least.
I like creating my own "look" for my primary character, and the witcher forces you to walk around as that grotesquerie called geralt. Why do I care you ask? Gay dude here, and I am shallow, and if I am going to be traveling on an epic journey for scores of hours, I want something more pleasant to look at. To the non gays here who are confused by this, imagine a game forced you to play as or mate with a haggard example of femininity. You could not swap her out for a hotter version, no, every time a given scene was played out, you would have to look at some porkfied model, with jiggling flesh dangling everywhere, pockmarked face growing larger as it neared your character.
That's really a silly reason. I also prefer DA, but because of BioWare's style of writing stories, gameplay, universe, companions etc. Not just because someone's hotter...

....I think if I wanted to indulge my male power fantasies, I would not seek them so far as the witcher.
I would just simply find myself some BDSM stories or something..

I heard Fifty Shades Of Grey is a good book.
I'm pretty sure CDPR said the series would continue after TW3 but Geralt's story would be concluded, so I can literally think of no one better to take up the protagonist role than his badass adopted daughter. In fact, I'll be pretty disappointed if they don't do it.
And I have to say I really like how she looks this game, to boot.
That would be awesome. And you don't need gameplay amnesia for her, because she is still pretty raw both in swordplay and sorcery. And still she kicked Leo's ass in oblivion.

Sigh. Read the books.
Spuds.
WHAT!? POOR SPUDS

She's also an established bisexual if I recall correctly.
...I'm sure that'd alleviate some of the complaints I often see with the series...
Well....I have no idea if saying something serious will do any good at this point, but...
I like both worlds, the characters in them, and the stories told in them. They're both really great, though not without some major criticisms being justifiedly levelled at them.
If I don't play TW games these days, it's purely because of combat gameplay. I played the first one and that worked well, but couldn't really get into the second. I tried, but abandoned my first game at the Kayran fight and never found the motivation to retry. Generally, getting prescribed sequences of actions right when every one depends on split-second hand-eye coordination is not something I can do. I regret that I'm unable to experience the story any further, but while I can do with boring and suboptimal combat if need be, frustrating combat just makes me quit.

There has been some f/f content in the Witcher...I'm not exactly wowed by the mature, realistic sex scenes this series supposedly has. Spoilered because children shouldn't watch or something.
