I'm trying to figure out ppls problem with 2 things.

1) The Inquisitor's race.

   - I have seen where some ppl have an issue with their Inquisitor being treated as a Human or an Elf. The person who had a problem with it stated "if I choose an Elf, I get an Elf-game." I was under the impression that was the point... I want to be treated different based off my race, as that's what ppl do; It's the same with class and gender! If I don't make sense or you don't agree, please let me know

2) Companion Romances.

  - This was apparently a big issue to A LOT of ppl. They wanted to have purely Bi-sexual party members as in DA2. Personally, I saw an issue with how DA2 did their romances...  I felt like it was too much and the Companions did not really have a choice in the matter. However with DAO and DA3 having exclusive gender and some racial restrictions only makes sense to me. As every person is unique IRL and the whole purpose of a RPG is immersion (Role Playing), it only makes sense to me to make these Characters have their own sexual likes and dislikes. I feel as if BW is doing an amazing job creating these characters and adding such a depth that I'm not used to!  These ppl (as they are to me now) are Straight, Bi-sexual, and gay... They know what they like.... I like Dorian's character and as a IRL straight male, I'm romancing Dorian as a Human male on my first Playthrough!

Sorry.... pure rambling on the 2nd topic, but I just need ppl to understand what RPing a game means.feel that a lot of ppl have the "fast-food" mentality and you should not do so if you want to truly enjoy a game like this. You cannot get what you want when you want it! Thedas is full of so many NPCs that are largely uniqe individuals and will treat your PC and companions according to their own viewpoints. There is racial segregation in all of Thedas just as there is IRL. Ppl are treated differently based on many sociological factors and BW is creating this world as they should!....

I'm done lol  :D

You think people are complaining now? Wait until the game comes out, then they'll really have things to complain about. It's not over yet.

No, I think we're just getting started.

You cant make a game that satisfies everyone as no-one would like it :)

I'm reserving any complaints I have about the game until afterwards (if I have any)

Exactly. Which is the reason why I always leave forums to move on to the next "game development" forum a bit before release. I already have a low threshold when it comes to dealing with incessant complaining by gamers at large but at release of a game I don't want complaints of others to make my enjoyment of a game less. Heck, I never had issues with ME 3 and the Internet told me I should have, luckily I didn't know about the insane reaction till after I finished that game.

I just pick and choose which threads to read on here. Sometimes I look at the complaining ones. This is the first game I've been interested in prior to release.

I personally loved ME3 and beat the game and had a WTF moment... I didn't understand the ending and thought it felt rough (literally different colors and a few different scenes), but still didn't feel like complaining, because the whole ride (ME1-3) was so amazing that it greatly outweighed an ending that was created by the Developer (artist) and I accepted it :)

I'm trying to imagine the jumbled mess of randomness that game would entail...

That's how I feel, I'm not sure if I'll have many as the game looks solid to me. I might not be the greatest at tactics, but I will still buy the game knowing this, so it is my choice :)

Although if you have the option to satisfy the most players possible you should go for it. There wasn't much of an issue with the romance options in Origins. That means Bioware can pull it off.
