Please change the Skyhold's soundtrack. Camp's soundtrack was excellent in DA:O

The camp soundtrack in Origins was so beautiful. I do hope the one we heard was not final, it sounded too much like combat music, rather than ambient.

So...I'm confused half the people here seem to be saying the Femquisitor is too manly and the other half says she walks like a hooker. O.O From what I saw...its not perfect, but I don't think its anywhere near as bad as Hawke's was.  As far as the casual wear is concerned...meh.  I kind of agree, again not perfect, but so far looks better then the one in DA 2.  Also, I think you might want to slip into soething soft and comfy after being out all day in battle armor. 

 

Its exactly the same as femHawkes animations.

 

Far too much hip sway, arms pointing out. Looks more like a model on a walkway than a normal female.

 

Men and women dont run and walk that different from each other, unless they are exaggerating for effect.

 

I will certainly be looking for a better female animation mod when i play a fem inquisitor.

....Yeah, not the most pleased with how the femquisitor sits already, it is like femshep all over again. So yeah, maybe a dress isn't the best for her unless they fix that...that or you really want to let Cullen know you are interested, haha.

Yeah, I didn't really have a problem with her animations either, to be honest. Also, I'm not the hugest fan of the casual outfit, but I'll get used to it - it's not that big a deal.

great so glad i got up early for this............. that said i may never do so again   , comments distracting for the vid.......... and damn full of trolls to boot. the human eye can't even tell the difference between 30FPS and 60FPS, the "lag" comes when it drops BELOW 30FPS per second.

 

God, i hate it when people bring out that stupid myth. The human eye can 100% see the difference between 30 fps and 60 fps. 25 pictures per second (for movies) is just the minimum that is required for the brain to interpret the succession of pictures into a smooth motion. There is no limit for the number of pictures per second the human eye can see. The brain is the part of us that would not see a difference between different framerates. But what the brain can or can't do is not the same for every person and not even the same for a single person. Our brains constantly learn new things and improve themselves. A person that only ever played games in 30 fps might not notice the difference between 30 and 60 fps right of the bat, but he will see the difference if he starts to play 60 fps games and then goes to play something on 30 fps. 

 

I however aggree that obvious clearly visible lag only comes from fps below 30.

Now to rewatch the stream and hopefully not be worried about the femquisitor animations as I am atm. I just want to play a powerful yet feminine woman! Why do people think all powerful women have to be manly?

Why do people think that a female walk = a stripper strut? I don't know any woman that walks like that normally, and without conscious thought. It could have been more neutral, and still be female movement.

 

Ah, well, I'll just zoom in and run everywhere. It doesn't seem as bad when running.

I have a vague memory that they showed it in a screenhot once. 

 

It looks rather less grandiose than Hawke's from DA2, which is weird because everyone else in Inquisition looks absolutely amazing and the range of casual or noble clothing styles looks huge.

Only downer was being unable to change the casual clothes, couldn't they atleast let us get a different color?  Not a fan of that...

 

I guess the femquisitor's walk was problematic too.  It actually seems a bit toned down compared to femHawke, slightly less exaggerated hips swaying and no more limp arm movements.  Her idle stance though...  With her arms held away from her body, that just looks uncomfortable.  And I'm dead certain they're using male animations for the cutscenes, that just looked odd...

I really can't understand why they chose that soundtrack to Skyhold. It doesn't make any sense on that environment. It's supposed to be a place for your characters to relax therefore the music should be something more.... relaxing. Those war drums make me nervous and I can see myself shutting the music off on options (if there is one) whenever I'm at Skyhold because wow, so annoying. Someone needs to tell them on twitter to have an option to shut the music off or give us a smoothing song for the love of god. Also really disappointed that we can't change the Inquisitor's clothes. How difficult it would be to provide a few choices? Or at least make something better looking with some color. But oh well, at least everything else looks good I guess.

Regarding the devs earlier statements about the companions spaces and how it relates to their character, I find it interesting that Vivienne's "space" overlooks both Skyhold and the throne

I found it interesting and hypocritical that she was talking down on mages feeling safe inside their towers, while standing in one herself doing nothing.

Casual outfit looks good, but I wish there were more outfit types. Or at least the ability to edit things like color, patterns and heraldry.

As for the Femquisitor's walking/running animation, I like it.

EDIT: Also, that bard was excellent. I'll probably just sit in the tavern and listen to that once I get the game.

Not sure I catch your meaning.  Doing nothing was precisely what she thought the mages should have done.  Honestly, I agree with much of her assessment.

Those War Drums in Skyhold have to go...who thought that was a great idea? I think a more softer calmer tone would be suiting in a place that is considered a Sanctuary or rest from the outside world.

Actually, they complained that her animations were manly in cutscenes, which, judging by the way she sat down with Cullen, is still the case.
