Inquisitor was mean to Cole... Cole was just trying to keep those daggers out of everyones way!

They really can't win, can't they.
After the previous stream, people were complaining the femquistor walk too manly, now she's " too girly" "too stupid"
Make up your mind, will ye? As long as she doesn't do the open-legged sitting ala FemShep in ME2, then I'm OK with it.
It's just two different opinions, not the same people changing their minds. I'm personally in the "I'm okay with it" camp.

You can see the pre-alpha male version in that video with the VA contest winners.
Was it the video of the German winners though? I just checked the English one and couldn't see any casual outfits...

Do the companions move about the Castle like they did on the Normany or are they static and found at the same place everytime you come back to Skyhold?

Were all the companions in casual wear, too? I haven't seen any pics of Cole.

Ra forbid people have different opinions.
Also another issue is she has a girly walk in normal gameplay but in cut scenes they decide to default her to the male animations instead of giving both her and the male PC gender neutral animations across the board to begin with. It's the worst of both worlds.

Where's Blackwall? Thought we'd see him in this stream. AFAIK there's nothing on him yet, besides the stills and general info

Female running animations look even more ridiculous with the thin casual clothing, I won't even be able to take my female inquisitors seriously
. Why does a progressive game like this still need sexualized female animations like this? I don't get it. They don't even look natural, especially for characters that are supposed to be warriors.
Also sad that companion conversations happen in that mode we saw and not in a cutscene like Cullen and Josie got. It feels impersonal.
But everything else looks wonderful! I can't wait to get lost in Skyhold. ![]()

Yeah not too thrilled about the constant ambient music either.
The dungeons didn't disappoint though.

Around 1:10 in the English video, you can see male dwarf inquisitor wearing that outfit while talking to Rosie's character. It looks a little less shiny than the current version! He has a shield and sword equipped though.

He was there in the area near the stables (I think it was an armoury or training yard?), but they decided not to talk to him.

He was in the barn. When the camera passed over him his name popped up for a second.

Oh, I assumed that was a different outfit because they had a sword and shield...
The starting gear for some of the classes might not look too different to clothing, if we basically begin with no real armour.

Boring stream, but had some good moments
Also, no casual clothes customization? That really sucks, especially given the huge customization options for Skyhold.

Progress is a tricky thing, I think comparing it to the Hawke animation, where it looked like she was trying to hypnotise you with her gluteus maximus when running.
they have made progress. I feel anyways.
And I agree with you on that that makes me super dissapointed and I feel its a direct result of the 'Skyrimization of DA'. (though one of the few problems I can attribute to that particular cause.)

They showed Blackwall for about three seconds. Not much love for him, nothing new here.
Skyhold looks huge and there will be a lot of things to do with it. Those combat drums though... out of place.

The lack of a cutscene for some companion conversations didn't bother me. At least we get to participate in the conversation which is more than we got for Zaeed and Kasumi.

Rewatching the stream and the drums are actually making me antsy, like I should be expecting a combat encounter or a timed quest or something. Yeesh.

It's kinda funny, Bioware can't win with female animations.
DAO was considered too 'manly' so they tweaked it, DA2 was too 'swaying' so they went with a middle ground, and now people are saying BOTH of those complaints. It's both too manly and too suggestive all at the same time (to different people of course). Not saying peoples opinions are invalid or anything like that, I'm just pointing out that Bioware (or anyone else for that matter) really cannot please everybody, no matter what they do.
Personally I didn't notice any problem with the walk.
Hopefully with mods in a few months you'll be able to switch for Cass's or Vivienne's or even Josie's animations.

Yeah that ambient music makes you think you are in combat non-stop.
For relaxing and hanging around with the companions in Skyhold they should have chosen a light-hearted music with strings, not war drums. ![]()

The difference between DA2's and DAI's female animations though is so small that I don't think deserves praise :/. They are still ridiculous. Bah ![]()
Yeah, that's probably why. It's like they refuse to listen when the fans say they LIKE talking to the companions a lot and to have cutscenes with them!
