It's kinda funny, Bioware can't win with female animations.

DAO was considered too 'manly' so they tweaked it, DA2 was too 'swaying' so they went with a middle ground, and now people are saying BOTH of those complaints. It's both too manly and too suggestive all at the same time (to different people of course). Not saying peoples opinions are invalid or anything like that, I'm just pointing out that Bioware (or anyone else for that matter) really cannot please everybody, no matter what they do.

Personally I didn't notice any problem with the walk.

Hopefully with mods in a few months you'll be able to switch for Cass's or Vivienne's or even Josie's animations.

I also kind of see it as having interesting role playing options.  The female human is supposed to be a noble, so may not neccessarily going with a 'natural' walk in the first place but a walk...to attract ser whats his face.

Oh, I assumed that was a different outfit because they had a sword and shield...

The starting gear for some of the classes might not look too different to clothing, if we basically begin with no real armour.

There were some footage of the inquisitor having weapon (and even armor) equipped while in Skyhold. I suppose we don't know if it is possibly the case still or if that's old footage or if it belongs to a specific part of the plot. But I'm pretty sure male version of the casual outfit will look more or less the same.

I do know where I'll be between quests. In the tavern listening to that lovely bard whilst nursing a tankard of ale.

I got a question guys, can we change our casual outfit we wear in Skyhold?

Cuz the Fem quisitors outfit is like something between pajamas and formal clothes and I dont really like it.

Rewatching... I like the walk. The butt won't quit but it doesn't look like she's putting deliberate effort into it when you take in the animation as a whole.

What femQuisitor is reminding me of:

funny-wiggle-cat-gif-01.gif

I didn't watch the rest of the stream, so I'll post some comments once it archives/gets on youtube.

As a sidenote, someone said that there is no possibility to change clothes in Skyhold, which is very disappointing. You give us all that customization, and you cannot give us a few more sets of clothes?

Damn. This gif got me in trouble for laughing too loud.

great so glad i got up early for this............. that said i may never do so again :P  , comments distracting for the vid.......... and damn full of trolls to boot. the human eye can't even tell the difference between 30FPS and 60FPS, the "lag" comes when it drops BELOW 30FPS per second.

still the keep is way bigger then i thought was very impressed.

I have to respond sorry. You are wrong, the human brain can perceive frames rates of more than 30FPS. A steady video of 60 FPS is noticably smoother than that of a steady 30FPS, i would argue it is a lot more difficult see any improvement above 60FPS though simply because it is already very smooth at 60. But at 30 you can certainly tell the difference. The point you make about "lag" being noticable when it drops below 30 is correct however and change in frame rate will make you see stutter, than includes going down from say 60 to 50 frames and also a change from say 30 to 40, your brain will notice it has changed and you will see some kind of stutter.

Have they told us about storage yet?  Surely we've got someplace to put stuff we don't want to sell or carry.

Entering the War Room, and drums like that would seem appropriate. But I had to giggle and shake my head a bit, when the description for the garden choices came up: Chantry Garden or Herb Garden. One for utility/usefulness, the other for quiet contemplation.............

The difference between DA2's and DAI's female animations though is so small that I don't think deserves praise :/. They are still ridiculous. Bah :(

Yeah, that's probably why. It's like they refuse to listen when the fans say they LIKE talking to the companions a lot and to have cutscenes with them!

But you CAN talk to them, and didn't they just show a cutscene with not one but TWO companions?

I'm sure that's not the only single one in the whole game ;)

My guess is that normal chitchat/idle chat will be those "quitable chats", and the plot related/important talks will have many proper cutscenes

Not to continue the off topicness, but perhaps it was resolution she or he was thinking of? I know that comes up a lot with the new consoles, and from "TV-watchin' distance", it's resolution that isn't going to make a huge difference once you get up over 720p, unless you're looking at a massive screen. Note: not applying this to PCs with Uber Monitors, still... minimal change.

Anyway, back to lurking.

You can talk to them but notice that when talking to the companions (not the advisors), they didn't get a cutscene and instead we get that 'easily quittable' convo system we've seen before. That's what I don't like since it makes the convos feel less personal. Hopefully that's not the majority.

I remember we've been told that the cinematic camera will be there for important dialogue. Am I the only one that considers talking with our companions important? Kinda sucks we can't see their faces and mimicry properly when talking with them in the Skyhold.

Yeah.

Hand-made cutscenes surely aren't possible for every single conversation in the game (maybe just the important ones), and it makes sense that they'd want to stay away from something like Origins where the camera settled behind the PC and nobody moved a muscle for ten minutes.

At least with non-cutscene conversations it still presents it in somewhat of a cinematic fashion.
