I have nothing but love for Skyhold. So big and so gorgeous!
I want to sleep in the Inquisitor's bed, sit on her couch and read a book, gaze at the mountains from her balcony.... *explodes from happiness*
And OMG, the bard in the tavern! ..and, and....so many other awesome things that I just can't list them all!!!
Screw game of the year, this is going to be game of the century for me. ![]()
Ok, I'm fine with the animations, but why am I dressed like a shabby potato farmer?
Other than that, Skyhold looks wonderful with so many things to do. I just wish I was dressed as well as my companions and the NPCs hanging out there.
Wow, Skyhold looks really impressive. I literally sat there with my mouth open in some parts. I'm going to love that place and will explore until I have unlocked all options
. Also, the throne room is nicely lit for effect. Imagine the Inquisitor sitting on that throne when Skyhold is fully repaired and decorated, backlit through these cathedral-like windows.
Only one downside: Ms. Inquisitor, you need a more interesting casual outfit. This looks like a modern jumpsuit. I hope they weren't serious when they said you can't change that.
BTW, I can't see the video in the Twitch archive and YT only has part 1. Where is the rest?
I hope we at least get the option to wear our armor in Skyhold instead of that fugly casual outfit. It just looks so incredibly out of place all the time. If that fails i hope we at least get a mod to do that as soon as possible.
Part 2
Really comfortable playing chess in armor plate.
Not an issue but..., a bit strange.
Editing and extending my opinion on what i've seen; the Skyhold looks really good, it seems alive and has many details; a little stream, scaffolds, etc, and a great design, wooden beams and stone in their right place..., really good atm.
Thanks, Ashelsu!

Skyhold looks fantastic, and that is why i was bummed from the outfit.
I understand casual clothing in Hawke's estate, but Skyhold is a fortress, not just your living room.
In my opinion, there should be, in the Inquisitor's quarters, a mannequin, or a wardrobe, that you interact with and change into your battle gear. It makes no sense to "judge" people as the Inquisitor, representing the Inquisition, and appearing to judge with your PJs. You should have your battle gear when you return from a mission. Or at least have the option, anyway.
In a previous video, we saw the Inquisitor in Skyhold, in the crafting area(a male Inquisitor), and he was in battle gear. That's odd, how was that possible, if we can't change gear there?
Maybe there are some moments, that we will find ourselves with our armor on in Skyhold, because of story reasons?
One of the things I liked the most were drums O_o
They're so cool.

Yes this When I judge prisoners I want to be all intimidating in my armor sitting on my throne going all medeival on their arses

I hope it is just that, that we can change into our normal armor set while in skyhold and their comment was just explaining that they only have a single piece of casual clothing. I really really hope that.
Oh my god.
I hope they delay the game for 6 months just to add a damn red dress for lady inquisitors just to stop reading the same tripe all the time!
but then inevitably the same people would complain that it would be too feminine or something ![]()

More I think about the more I wonder how much I will like those drums. I mean I remember really liking the music to the Hawke estate in DA 2, probably the best music for a 'home base' in any game I have heard.
I don't have an issue with the casual clothes on the female model, but I want to see how the male character model looks in those same clothes. I fear it'll look as stupid on the guy as people think it looks on the gal.
I guess it's just me then...the drums are easy enough for me to get use to or tune out,as for the casual outfit it didn't bother me so much.meh I'm too easy going and mellow I suppose for my own good lol.
I barely noticed them, but I'm pretty good at tuning out a game's music.
Skyhold is gorgeous. I'm going to sink so much time into it, I know it. Forget the Elder One, what's important is making sure you get just the right drapes/window combination. And that bard in the tavern blew me away.
Things i learnt from the video:
- Cameron earnt Influence for the Inquisition (the resource that unlocks perks) when he crafted that sword. I guess crafting is how you earn that?
-There are three major customisations for Skyhold: the garden, the tower and the courtyard. They've previously said the tower can be upgraded with either a mage upgrade or a templar upgrade. Since the garden also had a Chantry upgrade, I guess the courtyard will have an upgrade that's pro chantry.
-There are four types of mounts: horses, harts, "dracolisks" (whatever they are), and uniques (which I assume has things like the bog unicorn or a bronto).
-There's something called the "News of Thedas" which reflects in game events. The one in the stream mentioned the destruction of Haven by a dragon that looks like an Archdemon, with people scared there's going to be a Blight.
-Whatever originally caused Skyhold to be abandoned was wierd, with the mason's report on what happened to the dungeon mentioning he's only seen that type of damage in dams that had to deal with flooding.
1.Skyhold is amazing.Breathtaking...I'm impressed.
2.The conversations between Cullen/Dorian and Leliana/Josephine were so good, reminds why I love Dragon Age writing so much.
I can't wait to romance both Cullen and Dorian ![]()
I'm mixed on the casual clothing issue... I actually like the outfit, but I wish there were a variety (my Dalish quizzy is going to be like a cat with socks on his feet if he has to wear shoes
) or an option to wear the equipped armor in Skyhold.
Also every time the Red Hart appears, it makes me happy.
I haven't been watching too many gameplay videos for DAI because I feel like that would make waiting harder.
Because of this, I was very disappointed to see for the first time essentially what many of us "called" a year+ ago when it was announced that there would be little/no health regen:
After the player almost died and had to retreat, his team respawned with a sliver of non-regenerating health. This forced him to tediously run all the way back to a camp to buy potions, heal, buy more potions (because the limited amount he could carry couldn't even top off the party), finish healing, and then buy even more potions so he had some to go back out into the world.
This "Poke Center" style of gameplay can get very boring. It was, and still is, the one thing that I worry will sour this game for me.
Last I was told, health regenerated on lower difficulty settings. Has there been any more information regading that? Can I play on Nightmare (because I enjoy the challenge) and then switch it to Casual to regen health instead of running back to camps?
Skimming through some of the earlier pages, I can't help but think I must be in the minority of women... I love the way female Shepard sat because I would think, "Wow! For once, a women that sits like me!" Yes, I sit very "masculine-like" apparently. It's comfortable. I can't do the legs folded over bit - both because it's uncomfortable and physically impossible for me to do it fully. My legs are too short for it to be possible the proper way - at best I can fold one leg 90 degrees and on top of the other thigh. For me, I don't really much notice the masculine body language of the femquisitor because it's all similar to how I move.
But I guess I'm an oddball with a more masculine body language.
That all said, I can understand why other ladies are frustrated with it.
As far as the video goes, I missed the very end of it, but loved what I saw of Skyhold so far. Adored the singing in the tavern especially, wasn't particularly bothered by the drums but I could see it potentially getting annoying on an actual playthrough. Will have to wait and see. And I usually ignore most of crafting in games, but Inquisition might be one of the few times I actually put some effort into it. Would be nice to take the template of a weapon I like and give it stats/colors I prefer for it. Mind, this means I'll have to do some resource hunting too, and I usually skip out on most of that too. Hm...
I should stop watching these Twitch videos though... it's just making me antsier for late November, if that's even possible anymore.

Two points. They were playing on Hard, and Cam is notoriously awful at playing the game
Don't assume that what you've seen is how the game actually is - it will play differently if you know what you're doing!

I'm the same, I've never been a "ladylike" sitter. Resented it since I was a kid. All the "feminine" body language always looks like someone acting at being female or ~seductive~ than moving normally.

You gain more health after battle / after revive on lower difficulties. But it never fully recharges.
50% Casual
25% Normal
10% Hard & Nightmare
So I think you would have to switch to casual just before a fight ends to gain 50%. Or just before you revive somebody.
