Graphics look okay, but seeing there is no animation for opening doors, bear´s movement looks like a joke etc.. I didn´t expect some giant leap in graphics from current gen consoles, but I was hoping that these little things would be a thing of the past from now on....

- I thought it was laughably embarrassing for the devs to brag about all of the customization options for Skyhold (you can change the drapes! And windows!) and then be like "Sorry guys, you're stuck wearing the same shitty casual pajamas in Skyhold" (I mean seriously, we can't even change the color?!?)
Although Skyhold itself was fantastic imo, and i don't really care about how "lifeless" or not it is, my concern is that, i will be forced, to run around in the casual Inquisitor wear.
I don't care about customizing it, i don't care about more outfits, i just want the option to switch to my normal armor. Cullen has his normal armor, so does Leliana, and almost every other companion we saw was having their armor on.
Making another casual wear for the Inquisitor would be actually more resources. I don't understand why no option to wear your normal armor on, which would be almost no resources. I want to look all badass in my castle, not see myself in my pajamas all the time.
I get to customize even the drapery, but i can't run around in my battlegear and look all imposing, because again, someone will dictate what i will wear on a specific spot.
Look guys, Skyhold is awesome and this game in general looks awesome. I don't like, however, this enforcement of casual wear, in my castle, not Hawke's bedroom, and not having the option to have my armor on. Am i going to judge people in pajamas? Am i going to roleplay as i would, when i can't even wear what i want, but others will dictate to me?
I understand going to an Orlesian ball, were you would have to be dressed appropriately, but in Skyhold? There is a necessity to have only casual wear, there?
I don't care for outfit customization, i care for a single option, a tiny toggle that allows me to have my normal armor on.
Am i really asking for too much?
I get it, the devs will take some decisions for us in the game development, but this? You are saying about customization and all, how rich it is, and i don't have the capability to wear my gear in my castle?
I wonder if the realize how contradictory this is.
The first thing i look at, is the Inquisitor, then, the surroundings.
P.S. I get that some people are upset with negative criticism about specific things, but imo, it is useless to have a thread only about how awesome something is. Some things need to be heard, and criticism can be constructive.
It is my opinion, that it's a constructive thing to point out a blank like this, the Inquisiwear, and point out that we need the option to wear our normal gear on, if we so wish.
I understand it in Hawke's Estate, which was a simple house, but not a castle, a base of operations. And certainly i don't understand it being forced. What is even the point to enforce it?

War drum music for all of Skyhold = not a really good musical choice for the setting(s).
War drum music for just the War Room alone = perfection.
Since there was a transition (aka "Load Screen") into the War Room, I don't see why they couldn't have made the drums beat there instead of everywhere. But hey, it's their game to develop, and therefore their choice.
In regards to the casual clothing to wear around the place... meh. Give me an engaging story with memorable characters and numerous interactions / activities around the Keep and I'll be content.

Bioware should allow us to choose music as well, so instead of 5 million skyhold customization combinations it will go up to 75 million. Add a few colors for casual wear, 3 billion combinations. Best game ever.

EA must be cackling with delight after reading this thread. The amount of money they'll rake in by just making DLCs with casual outfits, music customization and additional Skyhold additions will be pretty insane. Sad part is that some of it might be my money too :[

Having finally watched some of the Twitch video
it looked a little lower res than the full glory we've seen before. It seems highly likely to me, therefore, that the Inquisitor's casual wear will look better in the final game - better textures, lighting and so on. As such, there is, I believe, no need for anyone to throw a massive strop about it.
It might seem silly but I'm actually finding it to be a major issue for me right now. No amount of textures or lightning will change that design. The idea of not being able to wear my gear, especially when all the NPCs and companions are wearing gear, hurts my roleplaying soul. It's weird that the Inquisitor is the only one who changes to a getup like that.
I'd hate to see these trials where we have to judge people while sitting on our throne looking like we just got out of bed and couldn't be bothered to dress.
Massive sigh, lmao. Two steps forward, one step back. The little things make all the difference.

I don't see this as a big issue. Inquisition is a political entity as well as military one. The head of the political entity is not expected to be presiding over courts in battle attire (ceremonial armor, maybe). If you are meeting ambassadors, you would likely want to dress in ceremonial attire of sort (not claiming that current version fits the bill, this will likely be changed via DLCs). The people wearing armor are the military advisors/companions. It would be nice if some of them had a set of finery as well, but uh...Iron Bull in finery? Sera in finery? I would be greatly amused by the dialogues of trying to get them to wear it!

I don't think we know. I think the bog unicorn would be under exotics. I recall a dev saying that the Inquisitor could get a "lizard" not-Wyvern mount, I'm guessing this is it and a dracolisk is another cousin on the Dragon family tree.So the "drakolisks" (not sure about spelling) mounts category that we saw in the stream yesterday are the undead creatures? Something like the bog unicorn? Just curious.

Yeah, the category sounds dragon-y to me, and I'm familiar with basilisks, but the picture that was shown with the drakolisk looked like an undead creature. Okay, thank you for the reply.I don't think we know. I think the bog unicorn would be under exotics. The majority of the footage we've seen is from a PC. This particular twitch stream was recorded on an Xbox One, which outputs a lower resolution than what the PC version can do, and naturally isn't going to look as impressive in other areas.

not claiming that current version fits the bill
Here you pretty much agree with me. It looks like sleepwear, imo, which is the biggest issue. And I say battle armor mostly because that seems like it would be the easiest thing for them to do while satisfying many. I feel like they went out of their way to make a bad and/or unnecessary decision.
I don't think I could come up with a bigger nitpick if I tried.
I can be particular about the way my character looks in a roleplaying game. No one asked you to care. As for the nitpick you're looking for, comb the forums or even this thread and I'm sure you'll be inspired.

I like the casual outfit. *shrug* I guess I can see the jammie thing, and more colors/options would be cool but I like it more than Hawke's Hef getup.

1.) The recent Hero of Thedas trailer made it seem like Skyhold was abandoned and the Inquisition just moved in.
2.) Not sure about the repairs. You'd have to ask though I would think so
3.) I don't think we get to play that chess minigame. We didn't get to in the cutscene with Cullen.
1) It isn't fortified, though I wouldn't be surpised if we have to root out some bandits or something.
2) I imagine that repairs work similar to things like the garden it showed. It requires resources to do.

I really hope some of these are on the soundtrack with the Digital Delux Edition. I am going to wallow in DA:I music from what I've heard so far.

I don't think I could come up with a bigger nitpick if I tried.
Being forced to a casual wear in your keep, no matter the circumstances, is nitpicking?
Dude, i don't like having people decide these things for me.
It's a valid complaint, and takes no resources to fix.
No need for more attires and DLCs, make a toggle from an item usage in your room, to change into your armor. There, problem solved.
These decisions make no sense what so ever. Why would they force you to wear your casual clothes in the keep? Because they did it for Hawke's estate? Because you might want to feel "at home", in your keep?
As i see it, more and more things are being decided for us, things that affect our roleplaying and our connection to the character.
Nitpicking or not, it was a bad decision that creates unnecessary enforcement of appearance in a specific place, that you will find yourself into quite a bit. In a game where "customization is almost infinite".
You might not care for it, but it's not a counter-argument.

I won't say it is nitpicking, but I do find it hillarious that when skyhold was announced a lot of posters were requesting that there please be something else to wear besides our armor because they didn't want to be running around their castle in the bloody things they kill people in.
Now, we want to burn said casual clothes at the stake.
