I was on on hype train until it became clear how restricted the ability trees are and then the 8 ability limit, which they still haven't explained in any detail yet.

Pfff, I was never on the hype train. How could I be? NOT A SINGLE DEV HAS CONFIRMED THAT APPLEJACK IS A RIDEABLE MOUNT FOR THE INQUISITOR YET.
Cringe-worthy posts aside, I got on after hearing the new title screen. Its a silly reason to start really following a game, but Bioware knows they can treat me like garbage and get away with it since I crawl back to them every time. EVERY. TIME.

The hype-train always takes of at exaggeration-station. I´ll wait and see what is left of it when it delivers it´s load.

I've been off the train for ages now. Not because I'm no longer looking forward to the game, but because I've been waiting for it for so long that I just got bored of being excited about it. Not only are we past the initial release date by almost a year now, but we are past the second release date as well.
It reached the stage a few months ago where I realized no new news could possibly interest me at all, only finally getting the bloody game would.

I wish I'd never heard of
Also this. I said this myself a few months ago--I already "knew" the game would be great. Them showing me more and more wasn't necessary. Just give me the game.I've been off the train for ages now. When I create a hype thread it gets locked for spam, when someone else does it - it's ok. Not sure if I'm paranoid of if the mods are after me ![]()
Like I've said before, I think my hype level is unmatched. When a friend told me that DA:I is "Just a game" I lashed out "Its not a game its the next chapter of my life!".

Has anyone made a joke about the "get off" phrasing yet? 'Cause I don't think I'll be able to get off til I open my package from Amazon.

I watched my last gameplay video yesterday. I now know what the game is going to look like, I know how the character creator will be and I know about the companions who look great. That is kind of everything I need to know.

At some point, I decided to not follow every bit of information on the game. I'm afraid that the info saturation will take away from my experience because I'll go in knowing too much. Am I the only one who's going on a voluntary "media blackout" and not reading or watching anything about this game?
I try my best to do this. I don't want to expect a ridiculous amount and then be inevitably disappointed, so I look at the bare minimum to see what the game is about and then try and wait.

I haven't done "nothing" but I do think that Bioware has shown way, WAY too much stuff that they shouldn't have shown...
I wish I'd never heard ofSpoiler
YEP! Same here. I feel like part of the mystery has been taken away now. Hopefully, what we've been show is very superficial and that there's a lot more to unveil (...heheh, get it?).

I'm trying to get off, but I keep getting pulled back on. Every bit of new info makes me come back. Then I have to remind myself of the last two times I got over excited about bioware games. Never again.

I was til the Qunari hairs, no dress at the ball, and forced ugly pants suit for casual wear at skyhold, now completely lacking in hype, still want it, but don't expect nearly as much out of it anymore

Always smart to never get on the hype train in the first place.
You'll enjoy everything a lot more with reasonable expectations.

I wasn't going to watch the new companion video, but I did. Tried to get off at the last station but fell over and the doors closed.

I've been on the train for a while (I just really love this series so I'm excited), and from what I've seen it looks as great as the other two games and has extra features plus super beautiful graphics and environments. There's nothing to complain about, really. At this point I'm just patiently waiting for its release, and then I will get totally immersed and forget about everything else for a while.

Phrasing!

See a doctor!
Yes, I'm pretty much done with the hype train.
Looks like decent stuff, hope it's good.
