This is false on so many levels, again you need to friend Anders and spare him, he is more sane than ever. Rabid dog? Please.

No, you've just got fan blinders on. I had Hawke murder knife Anders when he was at 100% friendship.

Anders demonstrates throughout the game, on both the friendship and rivalry paths, that he can't control himself. Anders tells you on both paths in Act 2 that he is struggling to maintain control over Justice. His nearly killing Ella shortly afterwards is a demonstration of that. In Act 3 after Anders has planted his bomb in the Chantry, even if at 100% friendship, he will tell Hawke that he is so intertwined with Justice that he can't tell where he ends and Justice begins. He'll make a similar statement after blowing up the Chantry on the friendship path, by stating that he and Justice are one now. And the destruction of the Cathedral itself is a demonstration that he can't control Justice. DA: Awakenings Anders would never have blown up a chantry, claiming the lives of hundreds of people, and putting the mages in even greater danger than they were in before.

Players who spare Anders should have the decision backfire on them. He should cause more death and destruction and leave a trail of bodies in his wake, wherever he travails. Without finding a way to separate himself from Justice, he can never lead a peaceful life. Justice will always find some wrong to right, with no concern for collateral damage. Anders is like a rabid dog. As of DA2 there was no cure for his condition, and he is a danger both to himself and to other people. He's not exactly an abomination, but he is something like it.

Anders drinks the blood of people and enjoys it. He's damn close enough to an abomination that I don't see the difference. The fact that Justice has so much control over him only proves the point, as that was the only thing separating them, and now he doesn't even have that.

Who doesn't enjoy drinking the blood of the innocent?

"I've got this burning like my veins are filled with nothing but gasoline.

And with a spark it's gonna be the biggest fire they've ever seen.
Cut me down or let me run,
Either way it's all gonna burn...
The only way that they'll ever learn
We've got to turn it off
Flip a switch"

It would undermine my entire, Hawke is a sociopath playthrough, which i've decided is now my canon playthrough.

He killed anders to make him a martyr and provoke a Magi uprising.

Anders coming back throw's all his plans out of kilter.

That's cool. Meet me in the Skyhold courtyard, you two-bit magister, and we can throw done. Let's see how you handle a Spirit Blade to the face, because the only blood you'll be drinking today is your own.

You have to SPARE him on 100% friend to see him sane. Thank you for sharing your opinions with us but you are not in development, kill Anders and let us enjoy his cameo in Inquisition. In friendship he wants to destroy the Chantry himself. You are not killing a psychopath under control of Justice, you are killing a human being who is ready to die for his ideals. You might call him a murderer, evil whatever but in friendship path all he does is on him, he is not unstable or insane, he wants the Templar order and Chantry overthrown. As simple as that.

You mean it splashed into his mouth right? Vengeance is satisfied when he sees the blood of his enemies and ofc it tastes like honey. Its not just any blood, its Templar blood. Yummy.

Having Anders survive to be a perfectly normal and functioning member of society would not make sense.

As much as I like Anders, I gotta agree there is no option you can take in which he will ever be sane. Friendship or Rivalry, his sanity clearly deteriorates as the game goes on, showing less control over Justice/Vengeance with each act.

I agree with these, there is no way he would still be sane if he's still alive

You might consider him dangerous but he is not out of control. He is already the MVP among companions and I would rather support (friend) him instead of calling him things and turning him into a psychopath (rivalry). Mind you I don't support what he did at the end of act 3, I just don't agree with killing him. I spare Loghain for this very reason. He turned out perfectly after sparing him, he goes to Orlais to serve as a grey warden. We'll have to go how it goes if he appears in DA:I, IF he appears that is.

I agree with him not being sane if he survives, considering the injustices both sides are inflicting during the war. He would be in constant Avatander State.

His sanity does not deteriorate on friendship path. He does destroy the Chantry but its all him. Destroying chantry =/= insanity. He simply wants to overthrow the chantry and Templar order and that does not make him insane, it makes him a human with his own ideals.

Yeah.  I think we can all agree on him being pretty out of his mind at the end and probably more so in Inquisition if not more developments with Justice.

Huh?

"Oh hi, Bob. What are you up to?|

ROFL, this argument is over when you compare a modern conversation to what Anders did. According to this all Americans who wanted to overthrow the British overlords were insane too. You know they contradicted their ideals too. Oh did I mention Martin Luther was insane too? He was the king of insane people.

Did you just equate the Boston Tea Party with terror bombing civilian targets?
