I'm surprise that so many people are so pro-rivalry Sebastian. The trailers of Exiled Prince is about tempting Sebastian to forsake his vows to the Chantry for worldly power, by a desire demon no less. If a demon is trying to tell you to do something, usually it's bad news. His only support to raise an army to take back his throne is a Kirkwall noble (i.e., Harriman's daughter). Even Elthina warns him to "tread carefully Sebastian, you could start a war." Urging him to take back the crown could embroil Kirkwall into war with Starkhaven. Ofcourse, sparing Anders will also make him want to retake Starkhaven and possibly ensure war with Starkhaven too. Added that some of his talents include skills like Maferath's arrow, the traitor to Andraste, does not foreshadow happy implications. The happy ending is the friendship route Sebastian but he's just like an archer priest which isn't really that valuable an ally but at least he doesn't do more damage. Now this is all my intuition talking and maybe it won't turn out like that but yeah, Hawke's friends really get him in deep **** sometimes.
Sebastian is a Prince of Starkhaven regardless of Friendship or Rivalry. He was born a Prince.) And as a Prince he holds significant influence and can gather allies for Hawke as needed even if he does not take the throne. (Of course, his influence and possibilities would be much more significant if he did.) That's why I am not convinced at all than even friended Sebastian is a less valuable ally than a loner Anders whom a lot of people (which could be potential allies) will hate and despise after Chantry incident.
Is there a poll for Anders?

No, when he took his vows as a brother he gave up all claims to the throne. He isn't a Prince or an heir.

Killing an innocent mage and then framing someone who did not do it to spark a battle ensuring a person who would stop the war died is not justice.

Bahahaha, Adrian? justice? ![]()

That was also a joke, but no matter.
Although Wynne was already dead and only being delayed in the transition for a while.

Even Elthina introduces him as Prince if we ask her who he is in Act 1.
But regardless of title he is a noble of highest rank. His family has allies, ties, influence. Anders has only Vengeance.
Also, what was it about Maferath's Arrow? Sebastian has Arrow of Judgment ability, as I recall.

Bah. Justice my behind. I can stand Fiona being alive, but I sincerely hope Adrian goes up in the blaze.
Bah. Justice my behind. I can maybe stand Fiona being alive, but I sincerely hope Adrian goes up in the blaze.
Why would Adrian be at that conference? She's probably guarding Fiona or something.

I'm a bit more sadistic, I hope we can make her tranquil.

And yet you were outraged about lying about the cause of death of one person.

I would not be lying to the parent of Adrian and using that to further my goal, so not comparable, nice fail though.
i like adrian have admire conviction( DO NOT condone what she did but knew how to play rough which is awsome lol )Bah. Justice my behind. I can stand Fiona being alive, but I sincerely hope Adrian goes up in the blaze.
Indeed. Hawke still screwed up.
The player not meta-gaming a conversation =/= "Hawke screwed up". I've RP'd Hawkes that responded with one of the other options because it fit them better than the "get out of jail free card" (aka the STAR option). Anders/Vengeance/Justice are responsible for that girl's death if it happens, no one else.
No, Hawke did not screw up. Hawke is not the player. We know what will happen, but Hawke does not.
This. So much THIS.

Yes, that would actually be... far milder, so I'm confused now.
Anders won't be in my Inquisition game. He gets the knife every time in DA2
Right on.
Though wouldn't you want him to endure hell through killing his fellow revolutionaries? (He commits Seppuku afterwords)

Good to know that you at least gave him the honorable form of suicide.

Same for me, except one playthrough because I wanted to see if he does appear it would be as an insane abomination ![]()
Meh, rather kill the bastard my self and give the hundreds of innocent people he killed in that explosion closure.
Why would Adrian be at that conference? She's probably guarding Fiona or something.
Rather suspicious that a mage leader won't even attend a peace conference that the Divine started in good faith.

Only Sebastian self proclaims himself as prince of Starkhaven, but that is disputed as he already took his vows of poverty and chastity. In Act 1, he says that Elthina prefers he introduces himself as a brother of the Chantry. Thus he has no title. He's bit delusional. If someone in Starkhaven is already crowned as Prince, they will not recognize him as the lawful heir. He has to win Starkhaven through war. And though he has ties to Starkhaven royalty, 1.he's a rival to the throne, and 2. an embarrassment to the family according to his past and I doubt his family, whoever's left, I doubt is very fond of him. All he can probably do is introduce Hawke, but he can't pull strings.

My Gale Trevelyan blames Anders for many of his friends dying in the war, so Gale will have a big bone to pick with him.
**** you, Anders. Just **** you.
That is some seriously messed up ****.
I never thought I could hate Anders more than I did.
I was wrong. So very, very wrong.
