If I remember correctly, one of the options when dealing with Anders is to persuade/force him to assist the Templars in crushing the mage rebellion. I also think that he implied that he would commit suicide when it was over. If I am correct than I would be most interested in either meeting him in Inquisition and seeing his mental state for myself or learning of his fate by other means.

That's such a weighted term.
It's also an accurate one.

This isn't a debate on whether he's an abomination or not. This is questioning whether we should let said abomination live.

Which still isn't what this thread was supposed to be about and it's still be discussed ad nauseam.

So, I havent read the past 45ish pages...so hopefully Im on topic with this statement, but I would love to see anders in inquisition. he makes things interesting and gives people a reason to look closely at what they believe and why. I can't say I really liked him in DA2 (loved him in awakening tho...) and I did end up killing him, but if he proves to be in DAI I'm definitely making a world state where I don't kill him just to see what happens.

Yes it is. If I kill him, he'll be a corpse somewhere in Thedas, the same continent Inquisition takes place in.

I strongly dislike Anders but I would be lying if I said I didn't want him in Inquisition and not just for the possibility of tormenting him more.
Though I must say that would be an added bonus in my opinion.

That's such a weighted term.
Only if you rival him.
Right and if you make nice he still blows up an old lady. For Justice! Cause that makes sense to an abomination.

The accurate term would be Anders is technically an abomination but he is so much more. He is not simply driven by malice or thirst for power or the desire to make more abominations.

I'm sure all the people who have died because of what he did will be comforted by that.

Aren't hate and anger malicious? Because he's pretty driven by those.

He is not "driven" by that. Mages are hated and feared, by your logic then everyone who hates them is malicious. Unlike rest of abominations he is not bound by malice. He can question his own actions and have the desire to redeem himself, this is NOT something an abomination does. An abomination cannot heal people for personal gain or fall in love. I can certainly go on but I think this should be enough. Claiming Anders is simply an abomination is disgusting oversimplification.
I'm sure all the people who have died because of what he did will be comforted by that.
That's changing the subject, he took those lives not our character and the topic is sparing him.

Personally I enjoyed Anders' depth and personal growth in DA2 and would enjoy seeing him again in Inquisition. So much Anders hate, Tallis...that is all.

If you ask too many questions. Hawke replies with something like "Alright, I'll help. But I won't forget that you blackmailed me into this."

...What. That's not how "Blackmail" is defined. That's just Hawke being silly.

Something no one should really consider.
If you're pro-mage you should kill him so the revolution has a martyr and the dead have justice.
If you aren't pro-mage you should kill him to give justice to the dead and to send a message to the rebels.
Both causes are better off with Anders dead albeit for different reasons.

Well, Anders brings up things like "If you really love me/are my friend, you'll help me." He is blackmailing the state of his relationship with Hawke.

Yep, it's emotional blackmail.
