Recently there have been a lot of complaints to the effect that the poster is having difficulty getting a game and that they think the game is dead. Since the game is not dead, I would like to make some suggestions that I know to have helped in specific cases.

Note that Windows has recently had some security changes that may have impacted the ability of ME3's netcode to establish host/client connections.

FIRST STEP. Network set to public or private. Windows sometimes relabels networks and tends to set them to public by default, and therefore restrict them. So check that the network you are connected to (in the Network and Sharing Center) is labelled as a Private network.

SECOND STEP. Explicitly allow ME3 to communicate through your firewall. Windows Firewall is set up in the Control Panel and you should add a firewall exception for ME3 that allows it to establish and accept connections.

NOTE: Also, a lot of advice has been given on the forum about messing with router settings. A decent router should be able to handle game traffic on its own, and I would strongly suggest trying the two steps above first, and only changing router settings if that doesn't do the trick.
