Cameron Lee said they were looking into it. So folks that suspect a DLC are probably right on this one.
Personally, I find it just...silly that I can customize curtains and such. However, the one thing that I'll probably be looking at the most, my clothes, can't be changed.
Um, BioWare, I think you got your priorities a little mixed up. I'm glad that you and your play testers enjoyed being able to make sure that the crimson color of the curtains complemented the gold trim. I'm just gonna say it: That sounds better for the Sims than for Dragon Age. I really don't care about making my throne match my eyes. I'm more worried about having an outfit that isn't gold and white (which was shown in a screen shot, and that's two colors I'm not a fan of) being the only thing I have to wear at the home base.
So, according to the DA team, customizable curtains and furniture = needed for Dragon Age. The causal clothes that the player is going to have to stare at the most = not as important. Er, that seems wrong to me. I really don't care if my furniture is default, or if my rugs don't match my armor. I'm more worried about what my avatar is going to look like. My armor, my face structure, my hair and my clothes are going to help define my character. Why should I give a sodding toss if I can customize furniture in a Dragon Age game?
